Elemental Kingdoms
« on: February 01, 2010, 08:59:30 PM »
Empire Name: They are known collectively as the Elemental Kingdoms.
Primary Race: For each one, they all have their own elemental species as the primary race.
Empire Description:Not a single empire, but the kingdoms of the various Elementals that live on the planet Elmora. They all are Medieval technologically, but their powers with elemental magics allow for them to be fearsome foes for even the most technologically advanced empires, and should be be regarded with caution. They are also known to band together in times of crisis, though for the most part, they are separate.
Additional Information: Their magic is very specialized, and it would be nigh-impossible for them to master any other kind of magic besides their own. Their magic is also different than most, and it would be hard, though certainly not impossible, to block their magic, which is why they have held out so very long. They also use Gates, magical portals littered across the planet to go from land to land, and these Gates are fueled by their very magical energy; if the Elementals magic were to go out, the Gates would cease functioning. And that spells disaster for the planet itself, not just the Elementals...
Territories:(Just put Sub-Forums for the different areas; this will be long)
They have their one planet of Elmora, which is known for the drastic changes in landscapes. The life of the planet is gained by the Gates, which in turn feed off the excess magic of the Elemetals, and its said that if their magic were to be sealed, disaster would befall the entire planet. Each has their own part of it:
Fire:The continent owned by the Elemental Fires is literally a giant burning landscape; nobody knows what fuels it,but what is known is that its endlessly burns and cannot be put out by conventional means. Unless one walks along a pathway made out of the black stones, its impossible for any being not resistant to heat to even venture here. The Gate is located upon a massive mountain of the Black Rocks, above the eternal fires that only the Elemental Fires can survive.
Water:The Water Elementals live in the oceans of the planet, scattered throughout the area. If one were to venture deep enough, they'd find structures not unlike spheres in the depths, made of clay or sand or built into the rock. The Gate is located inside a island filled with water and with more holes in it that allow water to get in than cheddar cheese.
Divine:The Divine area known to live in a continent with many peaks, and with a large amount of fog on the lower levels. Most of the people live in castles lying on the tops of these peaks, and it is said that monstrous creatures live in the foggy lower areas. The Gate, unlike most others lies within their Palace, a artificial structure, and is known to be the grandest of them all.
Earth:This continent is a massive forest, with a few open plains lying here and there in between the breaks of the forests. There is a exceedingly small amount of buildings here, as the Earth Elementals are the most in touch with nature. There are the largest trees in this continent than almost anywhere else. The largest tree, a massive thing larger than many starships, houses the gate within it, and it seems that a lot of the trees around it are actually stemming from its roots.
Wind:The continent of the Wind Elementals is largely normal compared to the others...Except for its weather. There are massive gales and hurricanes are commonplace, and life within its desert is impossible because of the constant sandstorms. The landscape is often drenched, but there are many plants that survive in these extreme conditions, and they produce enough crops for the Elementals that live here. In the middle of the desert, the only place in it that there is eerily normal weather, lies the Gate.
Dark:The continent of the Darks is a large, open continent with little in the ways of higher or lower areas, but does have plenty of rolling hills. While there isn't nearly as bad weather as on Wind, there are clouds eternally lying on the sky of the planet, leaving not much in the way of sunlight. They have castles and such scattered throughout their kingdom, and are the most 'medieval' of the kingdoms along with the Lights, even wearing similar armoring to a Human Knight, with the only difference being that they have wings. The Gate is located on a rocky hill, surrounded by rock formations that look eerily like the bones of age-old demons and monsters...
Light:The Kingdom of Light has, in contrast to Dark, the most sunlight, having the least cloud-cover of all the kingdoms. However, like their Dark counterparts, they are also equally Medieval in terms of technology, using swords and the such. Their landscape has a few mountainous peaks, but also has its share of plains. The Gate is located at a mountain of which has apparently been made at one time(though no longer in use) a religious area, as while it is still outside, it is surrounded by pillars of stone.

Well, its done. I was considering giving homage to Chrono Cross by making a 'Holy Land' archipelago called El Nido, but considering that the forums apparently been having problems with rip-offs, I wasn't sure if that would be though of as one.

(in Chrono Cross, the main form of Magic is known as 'Elements', though they're divided by color, and there's no distinction between 'Divine' and 'Light', like my Elementals have. Anyways, it was supposed to be sorta homage for the game, of which is my very favorite, but again, wasn't sure if everyone'd be thinking it was a rip-off, so...Yeah.)

Chrono Trigger's better.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Yeah, I know that the games great, but...Still. I've played a ROM of it, but haven't gotten past the Kingdom of Zeal. Still, Chrono Cross has always been my favorite, prooobably since it was one of the first games I've played(I actually got it when I was, like, six or something...Its my favorite despite anything else).

Anyways, to the grading?

Guys...Seriously...I've been gone how long(mostly due to the inability to think up anything that my characters could be used relevantly in), and this STILL has yet to be added, despite being approved? Seriously...

Sorry, I thought Hikaru was going to add it. I guess she didn't. I'll go take care of that.

I'm really really sorry it took so long. Just got caught up in a lot of stuff.

Its alright, just that it did take kinda long. XP
Well, with that out of the way, I'll be able to think up a few Elemental Characters, and use 'em too.
