Character Name: The Prophet of Revenge
Age: Conscious since the beginning of time, Physically, only 5 years.
Gender: Male
Race: Embodiment
Appearance: Revenge can take seven different forms. At full strength, he is a tall, thin, black humanoid with a small elephant head with long white tusks. He typically wears white robes emblazoned with the Sacred Icon, the emblem of his cult. However, he can shift into other forms, which will be discussed further down the line.
Alliance: Anyone seeking vengeance.
Personality (one paragraph minimum): Revenge is ruthless, and that barely describes it. He has absolutely no limits, no qualms, nothing holding him back except the desires of those he "Serves". He is versatile and clever, with an analytical mind that sees quickly through false pretenses. In an interesting bit of irony, despite never being honest with anyone and always hiding behind lies, he despises dishonesty. It isn't for any moral reason, but he hates the idea of himself being deceived, when his entire existence is devoted to deceiving others. Revenge is dangerous because he will do anything to get what he wants and is fantastic at playing the part of an ally. He holds the strings, egging along others to do things that please him. He is bent on controlling things, and receives pleasure from it. Besides this, his personality can shift depending on what his current goal is and what part he is currently playing. His ability to adapt his mindset to those around is astounding, and speaks of a deep understanding. This understanding cuts both ways, he is deeply self aware and knows why he does what he does. It disturbs him, but years of pushing that pang of conscience down has made it nearly nonexistent. Conscience is weakness, a bar holding him back, and to achieve his goals he can't have any bars. The greatest and most twisted irony of Revenge is that all he wants is happiness, which he tries to achieve through twisted means, but these means with which he grasps for it are the very things holding him from happiness. He understands but desperately wants to believe otherwise, and his victories leave him fulfilled and happy... Temporarily. He is very fast moving, always on to the next plan, the next target, the next victory, all in a lonely and tragic goal to keep himself from thinking about how terribly sad he actually is. His desperate running from the truth has left him a broken person... But also incredibly cruel and dangerous.

Character's History: Revenge is one of the oldest concepts of sentient beings. An eye for an eye, a tusk for a tusk. Everyone is vulnerable to it. Male, Female, human, alien. Those who wield technology and those who wield magic. It is a central part of sentient nature, and their perception of right and wrong. When one has been wronged in any way, the first instinct is to get even. This occurs regardless of ones feeling of right and wrong, almost as if there were a universal standard for conduct that we each instinctually realize. Perhaps it the herd instinct, perhaps something more. Regardless, revenge is a concept that has existed since beings wronged one another. And, more often then not, they act on that urge. Hate, blame, breed war and contempt. The desire for vengeance has ripped apart entire galaxies, so strong its pull, so hot its fire. And it always left one miserable.
Revenge did not invent his element. He was invented. From the cesspool of all that was terrible, from the wreckage of broken souls he rose up. Blame, Hate, and Misery intersected and bred the name for a concept that had always existed, but in the early days, had no name. The three mixed like paint and produced something new, a new being, an entirely new creature. He has spent millennium watching us squabble, point the finger, indulge our burning desire, and bleed as we have hurt ourselves as well. He hates us all, and loves us all the same. He has crafted an art and ignited countless genocides and wars through cunning and precision, always as a back round element.
That is, until recently. Revenge is bound to the same rules as his art. By stirring up fires and igniting conflict, he is, in a way, satisfying his own revenge against himself and us. And in the end, he feels just as hollow as we do. He IS revenge. He cannot escape the rules any more then we can. Hitting the bottom of his vicious vengeance cycle, Revenge realized with somber revelation how pathetic his cycle was. In this moment of depression, he rashly made a new choice: to become as a real being, flesh and blood, in the corporeal world.
And he did. No longer a manipulating energy, Revenge became real. He chose the image of the Elephant; whom never forget.
Revenge is a lost soul, twisted from centuries of a cruel cycle. His next move is anybody's guess.
