Ladies and Gentlemen of the forum,
We (the staff) have been discussing changing our name ("Galactic Empires") to something more fitting. As you all know, Galactic Empires has been the name of the RP since we changed hosting (and management) back in 2007. Since then, we have gone through many different hosts (clicdev, lyokoscan, nodseden) and have finally found a stable location here on the current server. As such, with magic playing such an importance in the RP today, we feel that a rebranding of the forums is long overdo.
So, without further ado, I present:
Shattered Planes, which will be presented on our brand new domain, shatteredplanes.com -
http://shatteredplanes.com (made possible by Hikaru). As of Friday at Midnight GMT, you will not be able to access the board at galacticempires.raylon.org. Please change your bookmarks to reflect our new domain!
What this meansAt midnight GMT (
http://001yourtranslationservice.com/kenax/Translators/Resources/TimeZones.htm), the domain
http://galacticempires.raylon.org will no longer work.
You must use shatteredplanes.com (
http://shatteredplanes.com) to access the board after Friday.
The name of the board will be changing.
We will have a new logo, which is currently being made by Nisorin.
If anyone has any comments or concerns (or questions), post them here or PM a staff member. We feel that this will work best for the board. Not only does it give the board a unique name and flavor, but it makes advertising more effective which means we have more of a potential for new members.
