((This is a bit like the Seraphim so I'm putting it in tech at the moment))
~The Black Legion~
Background Information:As in all intelligent beings that live in large groups, the Vionix have political disputes and not all feel that there should be an Emperor or that peace is the best option to achieve. The latter became a large problem around the time that the Vionix gained the ability to traverse the stars and decided that diplomatic relations might be the best course of action, this sparked off a large confrontation between the ruling party and a separate branch simply called "Legion" that believed that only the Vionix should be allowed to live and rule, that no others should join them. Of course, being so closed minded, they were ostracized and exiled after attempting to incite a Civil War. Upon their exile, they took over a small portion of the Vionix fleet and left system, not to be seen again for many years.
When they returned, Legion had changed in many ways, including their name which was now The Black Legion. In addition to their name, the Vionix looked different, their eyes had turned into just one colour, there was no whites anymore. The Legion's biomechanics had been modified and certain parts had been removed, although other parts had been added, giving them the strange ability to warp reality and space around themselves slightly. This power comes at a cost however, their biomechanics no longer work to their fullest extents and they have lost all but the increased intelligence and reactions associated with the biomachinery, in addition to this they are emotionally distant from everything else, giving them a strange sense of indifference to everything. The reasons for these changes is that the Legion has been experimenting with genetic alterations and the Vionix biomachinery, something that was outlawed a long time ago when the death rate for the experiments reached over 90%. The Legion has returned now, to help the Vionix but none know the reason for it...yet.
New Capabilities: Black Legion Vionix have lost their gender specific biomechanic abilities and their reactions are also slower than an average Vionix, putting them at a disadvantage in that regard. However, they have gained their own version of a magic creating organ that sits just under the ribs and between the stomach and heart, this organ is known as a Spatian to the Black Legion. The Spatian gives the Black Legion Vionix a rather specific ability that they use to full advantage, the ability to warp space around themselves and others through touch. This allows for near instantaneous teleportation and the more powerful ones can even open up slight wormholes that would bypass most normal AT fields. Through the use of the spatial manipulation they are also able to utilize a teleport splice, this involves the BL Vionix touching the thing to be spliced in two spots and then simply moving the two areas touched into different parts of space, tearing the target apart with minimal time and effort, this ability can only be done through touch though and the larger the thing being spliced, the more power would be needed. The Black Legion's lack of other magic though means that the Spatian generates a rather large amount of spatial magic, while the Spatial Manipulation (their form of Teleportation) takes small amounts, leaving them able to teleport a lot should they want to.
Technology:The Black Legion have all Vionix technology up until the Celestian project and therefore they do not have Ion Weaponry nor Anti-Matter weapons and don't have any other tech of around those times. They have a lot of their own technology however and most of their weapons have been replaced with their own, newer machinery.
Cold Miniature Fusion Reactors: The Black Legion do not use Fission Reactors like True Vionix, instead they use Cold Fusion Reactors which are like Fusion Reactors which release a lot of energy and instead do it at room temperature rather in areas that are several million degrees Celsius. Another thing about these reactors is that they are very small compared to normal reactors and as such, a lot can be placed in each ship and yet they still give off large amounts of energy.
Kinetic Detector Shielding: Kinetic Detector Shielding, or KDS, is a power-saving alternative to normal Kinetic Shielding in that it has a "Detector Aura" around it that sense when enemy shells or fighters are approaching and when the weapons get close enough, only the areas of shielding that the shells are going to collide with will activate and just block the enemy shots with relative ease and with the least amount of energy needed. The "Detector Aura" is constant however and the shielding activates at the speed of light, so even shells traveling near that speed would be blocked by the KDS.
Flash Cannons:Flash Cannons are a change from the traditional solid shot weaponry that the True Vionix use. Flash Cannons use a long stream of atoms that had been heated up to several million degrees and then fired like a laser at enemy vessels. Should the stream of Super Heated particles hit the enemy shielding or hull they would undergo fusion and generate a large amount of energy reminiscent of an explosion which could rend or tear hulls as well as reducing them to slag and even damage shielding with the explosion and impact force from the weapon.
Lasher Cannons: Lasher Cannons are the anti-shield weapons of the Black Legion Vionix and they work by using electricity. When the cannon readies, it charges up a large amount of electricity with a very high current and then condense it by using heavy gravitational fields before lessening it around the electricity and then forcing more into it until it turns into almost a spear of pure electricity with an extremely high voltage and current. Upon gaining this current (2 Posts) it then releases the massive amount of electricity like a blue white spear traveling at the speed of light towards the enemy shields, this beam lasts for around 4 seconds and in that time it numbs the shield with the initial burst and then, by focusing ridiculous amounts of current through it, rends the shielding open. Not only that but where the electricity hits it sends out light and energy which the Black Legion ships pick up and therefore know where the rends in the shielding are and they can then fire through them.
Shatter:Simply named Shatter, this is a dangerous and powerful weapon that the Black Legion have incorporated into their battleships and their Titan. Shatter works by using different dimensions and spatial energies from several Black Legion Vionix to generate absolute zero temperatures and then condensing it into a type of beam. This beam is then launched through space contained in a very slight field of spatial energies so it keeps its temperature before contacting an enemy ship or station. When the beam makes contact, it cools what it strikes to absolute zero temperatures, whether it be shielding or hull. At Absolute Zero, the shielding would undergo superconductivity, giving weapons like Lasher Cannons no resistance to travel around the entire shield and it would make the enemy hull extremely brittle and easily broken by other weaponry such as Rail Cannons or Flash Cannons. This weapon requires quite a while to gather up the energies needed however (6 post charge time)
Regicide Class Titan:
The Regicide is the Black Legion flagship, homeship and largest battleship all rolled into one. The Regicide is composed of five massive arms, capable of movement, and a central ring locking them all together. Every arm and even the locking ring are coated in Lasher and Flash cannons to give it a rather ridiculous amount of firepower, this is only on the outside however. On the inside of the arms, are the living and energy quarters where several million Black Legion Vionix make their livings and spend their lives. The Central Ring houses the control station and all of the main systems and also where the leaders of the Black Legion reside and plan their strategies. It is impossible to shoot inside the arms however as the shielding of the Regicide is a sphere around the entire vessel. On the ends of each of the Arms there sits 5 Shatter systems and many lasher cannons, all of them inset slightly into the armour plating. The Regicide is also able to ram other Titans, it does this by closing over every arm of the vessel, which form together to make a spike and then spend a large amount of energy (4 post charge time) to ready a large electrical burst, many, many times stronger than that of a Lasher Cannon. Upon completion of the charge, the energy burst is released onto the enemy's shielding and then rammed while the shielding is numbed, causing the spiked face of the Regicide to act like a punch straight through the shielding and into the hull of the enemy vessel.
