Communicators: Each of the communication devices used by Shard Personnel is designed in such a way they cannot be hacked from the outside and intercepted communications will come out as static to anyone who tries to spy on them. The communicators also have a bit of lead in their make rendering them impervious to EMP generators and thus protecting them from that problem. The communicators can only receive from their own special frequencies.

LAP Communicators:  As an alternative should conventional means of communication fail these communicators are built out of Aurem and lead and implanted into the Shard Operatives. The LAP communicators are modified however to enhance the eye sight and hearing of the person while inside their head. They also provide a link but these are made to only communicate with other LAP Communicators the Narrikians made.
