Magical Drugs
« on: January 24, 2010, 10:03:42 PM »
Discuss any drugs of a magical nature here. No, I don't mean you feel magic when you're high.

Makjuin, as mentioned by my topic in the Era Valley, is a drug of some sorts. It seems to be illegal in the Era Valley's region, by law of the Eter Empire -- who I need to make a Wiki article for. In any case, I have no idea what it does. Feel free to speculate, and if you do, in this topic -- I'd love to hear your theories.

Maybe it makes magic users go insane with spells.

As said on AIM
1. Make them think they're god.
2. Makes their magic sentient, or even just makes them think it's sentient. (Talk to a fireball!)
3. Changes their personality. For evil, you'd go insanely nice. For usual kind people, you'd get a demon.

Here is a magic chemical I came up with
Supressant
Instead of boosting magic, this drug acts as a sedative on steroids nullifying the ability of whoever is injected with it for one whole day to use magic of any variety except to keep themselves alive. They can't externalize Magic once this has been injected for one entire day.

Do you know what a sedative does, Hawkeye?
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Yes. It puts someone to sleep. Except this one puts magic to sleep.

Wrong. It calms someone down. Anesthetics put you to sleep.

Orgadude, what do you mean by 'turns you into a spell?'

I mean you actually turn into the spell. Say someone used a fire spell, you would become that spell.
I'm not saying it would be useful or anything but it would be interesting.
