They were met with strong whirlpools and currents; it seemed a few Elemental-Water were playing pranks on them. They were too strong to resist, but were benign and wouldn't cause any harm. Finally, the mer-people-looking Elementals approached the explorers, and one said,"Hiya! What brings you to the Elmora seas?"

The drones, being made only to scan and record, took note of the merpeople, and streamed the info back to the South II. Sensing the whirlpools as a threat, they left the water and rapidly returned to the South II.

The Elementals turned their heads, confused, and after a bit simply swam away.
