Name: Jack Lantern/Will o' Wisp Lord/Stingy Jack/Ignis Fatuus/Duke of Storms
Age: Many Centuries.
Race: Originally, Human, now, Pumpkin Will o' Wisp Spirit
Alliance: Trying to get his way to Heaven through good deeds.
Biography: Jack Lantern was an Irish farmer from long ago. He was very good farmer, and his crops were always bountiful and a higher quality than others. Pumpkins were his favorite, and they were praised as the greatest pumpkins in the county. He made fair wages from his excellent crops, but his severe alcoholism kept him poor most of the time, which lead him to be a penny pincher. People started calling him Stingy Jack.

Besides his crop money, Jack was a famed trickster, michievous and very clever for an old drunkard, being an expert con man on travellers, and pulling all kinds of pranks on locals. And so, ol’ Stingy Jack was about to spend another night drinking away his life. But something different happened this time.

Lucifer came for his soul. Jack, thinking quickly, arranged a rather clever plot. He begged Lucifer for one last ale before he took him, and Lucifer saw no reason to not agree. But Jack said he had no money, and bade Lucifer to turn into a coin for him to pay with. Lucifer reluctantly agreed.

But Jack took the coin and put him in his wallet with silver crucifix, robbing Lucifer of his power. With no way out, Lucifer made a deal with Jack. He would let Jack live another 10 years, in exchange for his power back. Jack removed the crucifix and Lucifer returned to his normal form, fleeing the Tavern enraged.

Ten years passed where Jack lived happily, prepared for Lucifer’s return. At ten years, Lucifer came again for Jack’s soul. He was travelling alone in the dark on a road. He begged Lucifer to get him an apple before he took his soul, and Lucifer grudgingly agreed. But after he climbed the tree, Jack quickly carved a cross in the trunk. Lucifer was again stripped of his power and unable to get down. So, forced to submit to Jack’s terms, another deal was made.

“Swear to me you’ll never take me body to hell!” Jack said,
“Also, I want some sort of supernatural powers. Something to help me old bones farm, and give people a good scare.”

So, Lucifer swore he would never take Jack’s soul, and gave him earth manipulation powers. Jack, fancying himself immortal, drank nigth and day night and day, effortlessly growing superb crops with his abilities. It happened one day, that Jack fell ill harvesting pumpkins.

He was not immortal, and died from alcohol poisoning, a pumpkin in hand.

He went to heaven’s gates, but St. Peter turned him away, because of his tight-fisted ways, his heavy drinking habits, and hobby of tricking and scaring people.

Jack wandered in darkness briefly, terrified. But he found his way to Hell. But Lucifer wouldn’t let him in.
“A deal’s a deal, Jack.” He said with a wicked grin.
“And for the record, I only swore not to take your body!” He took Jack’s head,  tossing him an ever’burning ember form hell for light. Being a Spirit, without a bodily vessel, he could not interact with the meaterial world, fated, like many lost Spirits, to be a willow o’ wisp, or some kind of haunt. But Jack employed the special powers granted him by Lucifer,  not just earth manipulation but illusion, shadow, and light energy magic.

He took over the pumpkin his corpse was holding, giving it life with the ember, making it a lantern. It became a replacement head, as he made a new body. With great power, he wandered the Earth, and rose to the top of the Will o’ Wisps and Foo Fighters and other wandering spirits, becoming the Will o’ Wisp Lord. His powers grew and grew. He could dig into earth, making  earthen, vegetable minions, giving them life. He was a master of illusion and shadows, and as Will o’ Wisp Lord, had manipulation of lights and light energies. His form shifted from a carved face on a pumpkin on his old, rotting body, to a floating sphere on a shadowy body, although he still takes the pumpkin headed form from time to time.

When Earth was destroyed, Jack, like all wandering Spirits, was launched into the space, where he landed on Autumnavia, which quickly became a home. Ever since he was a spirit, he has been a kind soul, not realizing it's too late to go to Heaven, he tries to be kind to people to get into Heaven, aiding lost travellers, granting good luck and fortune, and occasionally leading people to great treasure.
