Abandoned City
« on: September 29, 2010, 09:05:28 PM »
http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&global=1&q=City#/d23z3ul  An old city on Earth that no one paid much attention to anymore. It was about to change though for the better. A displacement field, a force field styled barrier appeared around the entire city as Vailen materialized in the center. Once there he began to try to sense the magical signature of Kaleb.  He would present a gift to Kaleb and task him with eradicating Legion from the Planet Earth in order to make it inhabitable. Legion was the everpresent threat to all magic users in the dimensional plane other than Abel and Koty. Koty though currently was occupied as was Abel which left Legion currently.   â€œKaleb Tyrus. Come out to me please.” He said within the confines of the displacement  field using magic to amplify his voice.

The city happened to be the big apple. New York City to be exact. A city that had suffered the least from the war. It was after all the best place for Vailen to start his search for Kaleb so that he could have Kaleb accept his gift. Rarely did Vailen decide to give a gift like he was going to. Yet this time in particular Vailen felt the ends nessecitated the means currently  as Legion needed to be thrown off world and he couldn't focus on the WH fully until that happened.

The moment the displacement field appeared Legion did as well, the thing about displacement fields is that..they well displace things. With common ways of detecting it's quite impossible, but if you look for the void, if you look for the displacement itself. Then it's actually quite easy to find.

Earth is under our protection, it has suffered enough.

The message echoed and traveled for miles, declaring that Legion had done what Abel had expected. He had adapted and the combined strength of the nigh-countless spirits inside that his body overpowered the spells that bound him to Abel's commands. But Marakov was still the leading spirit, as his own was used to the body and therefore had stronger control. His own drive to protect his home-planet is what kept the abomination going now.

((You can't edit after someone has posted a reply Hawk, not unless that person gives permission. Even then a cloaking field would be easy to detect as well.))

Legion was an unwelcome intrusion to what Vailen was currently trying to do but he could actually be helpful. “I wll leave Earth Legion when I find Kaleb Tyrus and present something to him. I would present it to his father but it seems I can't sense with my magic where his father K2323 is. So once I find Kaleb and present a certain item to him my work here on this planet is done.” With that Vailen supressed his magical signature.

You no longer have a choice, we will kill you.

As the word echoed off..well everything Legion began to hammer against the barrier with spell after spell, it wouldn't take long before it would go down.

With a groan as the barrier began to be hammer against Vailen simply teleported away off planet. He left a box though a white box with blue letters and containing a sword. It was a gift for Kaleb Tyrus.

As Vailen teleported away the barrier broke, without even taking a second look at it Legion threw a rather large fireball at the box.

The fireball however only bounced off the box. It had a shield enchantment on it. So only Kaleb could open it if he ever found it.

Turning back to it and grimacing Legion walked towards it, kneeling down and pressing his hand against the enchantment. Using magic that was created to dispel items of their own magical qualities he began rendering the box non-magical.

However when Legion tried to dispel the enchantment he did not know what he had done as the box turned to dust. One of the enchantments had been to keep the contents of the box preserved and so it turned to dust.

Shrugging as the dust began to spiral and spin before it started to fly out the atmosphere, once it escaped the gravity of Earth it would be launched on a collision course towards the sun.
