The Bakery
« on: October 17, 2010, 05:44:09 PM »
Kaleb had tried to help the people. They were his people. He had tried to use his magic to save everyone when the bombs had gone off. He had failed. Now he was scared and alone in some bakery off a tropical beach with nobody to care for... Nobody to love.

The young man stood from his seat inside the bakery, some stale bread in hand, and left the structure. He walked over to the beach, splitting off a small bit of the bread to eat. This place had been safe from the fallout. The beach was still beautiful. The people, however... Were gone.

Kaleb was alone.

An eerie rush of wind blew past Kaleb and words could be heard if he listened.

You wish to find others to associate with Kaleb Tyrus? If you do I will help you and teach you. But there will be a cost for this teaching. Yes you Kaleb will have a new race to defend and a new place to call home. But first I must bestow a few gifts upon you to prepare you for what needs to be done. Are you willing?

Kaleb looked around, curious. What was this? Someone was trying to communicate with him? He wouldn't -

Suddenly, it hit him. A pulling feeling of some sorts... He was feeling Koty's pulse, but he didn't know it. He had no idea what was going on. He only knew one thing in that moment... He had to protect the Earth from whatever was out there. No matter what.

But for now, Kaleb was enjoying the ocean breeze.

Yet it was not the pulse of Koty. It was not even close to being from Koty that the message was being sent. No it was Vailen who was sending a bit of heaven's power to communicate with Kaleb. And to grant him what he needed to unlock the other dormant abilities.

A single frigate would appear near Kaleb now but this was a far from ordinary frigate. It was made from technology that the inhabitants of Shuma before the Narrikians had used and made themselves. It was colored a mix of blue  and silver and had the symbol of the K Empire painted onto it and the paint was still drying.

An illusion of Vailen formed near Kaleb and said to him “Though I can't come to earth to help you out I must ask a favor of you Kaleb Tyrus since Legion prevents my intervention on Earth, I must ask you to leave the planet so that we may discuss things. There is a lot for you to learn and I know some guardians and a relative that you must meet for the time being in order to learn what you need to know to unlock the dragon of order's powers you have.”

A blade would also appear near Kaleb of the finest craftmanship that he had ever seen. While the blade looked new it was actually centuries old and was far from an ordinary blade actually. It was a blade of legend that appeared near Kaleb.

The blade happened to be the sword Kusangi that had materialized near Kaleb. It was indeed a weapon of magic that he was getting. Yet what task awaited him that required him to have such weapons.

The voice of Vailen could be heard once more by Kaleb and the illusion of him was gone.

“You must journey through the galaxy and leave earth behind. At these coordinates you will find the gates of order and harmony. One of your relatives shall await you there and train you to unlock the order dragon inside of yourself and the powers that come with it. But only if you prove yourself truly ready for that dragon. A war is coming Kaleb and your father is now fatet. Which means now that you must claim Genesis as is your right along with Order Magic.”

No... No, not again! Not this! Not my foolish father and his men! They're involved in another war!

...But I could unlock my Genesis Magic... No. I can't. Not yet. I must protect these... These people... Yes. That is my destiny.

And so, Kaleb made his way towards the pier which overlooked the ocean.

This time hopefully Vailen could pull enough strength from his reserves to do something that would get Kaleb to leave Earth in order to keep the planet safe from the embodiment war. So using his own magic he sent out a pulse on earth causing the frigate to move above Kaleb and activate. The food on the frigate was all of Kaleb’s favorite foods. Also a special sword had been placed inside of the frigate in order to ensure Kaleb would be ready.

An illusion of Vailen appeared. “Kaleb Tyrus. You wish Earth to be safe? Then you must leave it and end the war of the Embodiments.”

Kaleb groaned... No.

"NO!" he yelled out. "I can't! I won't!"

The moment that Kaleb Tyrus said no, Vailen decided he would give Kaleb a gift. He would unlock the gate so Kaleb could be trained in the magical arts of Order and Genesis Magic and become a master. Holding out his hand Vailen began to chant softly so Kaleb could not hear him. A silver door rose out of the ground leading to the place where the previous wielders of Order had been trained.

A white marble castle floated in an empty void with planks floating as a kind of bridge towards the castle.  This is what was behind the door anyway.

His hand still charged with the ancient powers of Order Magic, Vailen told Kaleb rather plainly “Through the door you shall go and receive your training. 5 guardians you shall defeat before your training begins and you will rely on only your physical skills, no magic may be used.”

“But in order to make things easier on you I will provide you with a weapon and some advantages I normally would not.” At that moment Vailen extended his other arm out as far as he could reach without doing magic, and plucked a feather out of thin air. “This feather will allow you to fly once over any obstacle. Choose when to use it wisely as you only get one.”

Next a sword case materialized near Kaleb that radiated immense levels of magical energy beyond what is normal. “Inside this case is the sword Kusangi. You may use it if you so desire. It will help you in the times to come my friend. So make up your mind and choose your path.”

“Also since I don’t know why I am being so kind I will give you a 3rd advantage over the previous ones who took the test. If you are willing to use that advantage.” A small ruby appeared near Kaleb. “The closer you are to the actual test, the stronger this will glow.”

Kaleb sighed. "YOU! ARE! ANNOYING!"

Kaleb reached out his hand and began to try to repel the frigate.

However the magic of Kaleb was not strong enough without either Order or Genesis magic to repel the frigate. “See, you need training in order to repel things even. The most simplest of magics is beyond your grasp because you refuse to train.” said Vailen.

Tendrils lashed out wrapping around Kaleb and pulling him towards a door of sorts. The door had his name written on it and strange symbols along with the word Order. A golden handled katana with a black blade was next to the door.

“Go through the door. Once you pass the test of the guardian I shall leave you be forever Kaleb.”

Tired of being bothered to such an extent, Kaleb called out, "I didn't ask for this! LEAVE... ME... ALONE!"

A white aura surrounded him as his magic flared up. He seemed oblivious to it.

His magic did not affect the tendrils which kept pulling him towards the gate. “But you did. The moment you lost your genesis the first time you have been asking for this.” The tendrils finally pulled him through the gate.

A dillapidated castle could be seen nearby with a strange looking wolf nearby as well. The wolf told him or rather thought to him anyway. -The enemy is approaching. Why did you not wear your armor and weapons?-

Aiden and Cerberus hadn't been paying attention to where they were going. At first, they were Hell, but with a little more travel they started to leave Hell and now they were on Earth. Aiden didn't realize anything, though, just where he was. He didn't know he was walking into an argument. "Uhm.."

And then, it happened. Kaleb's Genesis Magic came to power... And the gate exploded before he could be dragged in.

The moment that happened Vailen sighed. “You have unlocked one half of your true potential but not the otherside granted by your uncle. In order to remedy that I would with your permission borrow a bit of your genesis in order to bring that Uncle here to train you himself so that you may learn. Once you have learned your destiny is truly your own and not controlled by outside forces.”

Cerberus dug his face in the ground in a response to Aiden raising his hands in the back of their mind instinctively. He wasn't an actual body but yet he still had the instincts to cover his face, so of course Cerberus reacted to that and dug himself in the ground like an ostrich. After a few moments they brought their head back up.

"What the hell?" Aiden murmured, listening as the three dogs began barking and yelping at the two other people.

His hand outstretched Vailen wrapped Kaleb in a bubble of ancient negion which was much stronger than current negion. Now there was a plan that was ready for him to use in order to train Kaleb. “You can't shatter that unless you lock the other half of your potential and it is immune to your genesis powers.”

Cerberus's tail flicked over a tray of doughnuts, though Aiden was more alert while one of the heads leaned down and munched on the delicious treat. "Okay, really?" he thought. Finally, he used the center head to speak. "Hey, guys, seriously?" he asked, the middle heads eyes focusing on the two as he was now using the main head as a medium. "What the hell is going on here?"

Kaleb looked straight at Cerebus as his eyes flashed white, his Genesis Staff appearing in his hands. He had awakened. And all he could say was...

"Where is my kingdom?"

Before an answer could be given, Kaleb disappeared. He was off to Japae. Off to his father's world.
