Attack!
« on: May 22, 2011, 12:42:09 PM »
Somewhere on the GOL station, a weaponized frigate docked. Nothing startling, though, just the usual weapons to deter pirates. Of course, those same weapons can be used by Pirates themselves, but even so. It was one ship. Pirates traveled in raiding fleets.

Almost as soon as it docked, it flew off again. A rather large crate had been delivered to the station, made of metal. And then, from within the crate...Growls could be heard, as well as the sound of metal scrapng against metal. Eventually, what looked like two blades pierced the metal of the crate, then tore it open, as a wolf-like mechanized creature exited the crate, followed by another whose form seemed to shift randomly, as though its mechanical parts weren't made of a single, solid metal...

The moment the two were detected, GOL Security rushed to the scene.. But something was strange about these security guards. They weren't what you'd expect for a newspaper and media corporation's security. They were highly trained.. As if they were employed to secure more than journalists.

The security, always masked and in black, rushed into the docking bay with their weapons pointed at the metal. They each began to shoot small bullets which, when fired, would release an electromagnetic pulse effect within whatever it hit. They fired several rounds.

Barrier shields started to close in that docking bay, protecting it. The station entered red alert the moment the ship docked without authorization. The departing ship met resistance before it could even think of firing up any FTL drives, as a giant box started to appear around the ship.... A box with walls which were a portal into a pocket dimension.

The ship darted out from the box, flying chaotically in an attempt to outmaneuver the 'box' going around it. Failing that, the ship would self-destruct. Better to be taken with the ship than to reveal the Organization, after all...

The green-colored creature activated a sort of shield system, quite strong for only a human-class shield generator, to protect from the bullets and the EMP they created. His left arm then shifted into a machine gun, its face visibly grimacing in pain from the effort, and then aimed it at them and opened fire from afar. The black-colored one, with all of the shifting armor pieces, waited inside the shield as the bullets stormed them, then sent a trail of the nanites which made up its armor into the floor, eating at part of the flooring and creating more nanites as it did so with the materials, then when it was inside the floor, continued eating in the direction of the soldiers until there was a pool of nanites underneath their feet. And then...It ate the part of the floor they stood upon, causing them to fall about a inch or two(if that) into the thin pool of nanites, which then spread up and over them, demolishing their armor into base materials to make more nanites. Like a swarm of hungry ants, they'd devour the security personnel alive, and connect some of the guns to the black monster's armor, fusing the guns into one single one, and integrating it with the creature. It then would fire at the barriers, before realizing there was not effect on the barriers themselves, but would cause localized disruptions at nearby electronics. From there, it'd try to find a generator to attack in order to bring down the barriers, looking all around, and the green one-Feral-then finding a ventilation shaft and trying to use that to bypass the barrier(after all, if the ventilation shafts were also closed off, it'd present a safety hazard for any security personnel in the area, due to the potential for a lack of oxygen). The other-Berserk-followed his lead, knowing Feral was the one more likely to find something than she.

The portal box refused to loose, moving along with the ship, mirroring its jerking movements. It quickly self destructed, and as it did, the blast was contained into the pocket dimension.

Inside, the shield around the two met another shield which began to bombard the two's personal shield. With the two shields repelling each other, they would weaken each other to failure in no time. With that done, the soldiers took cover, scattering throughout the bay, when bullets began to fire. As nanites started to crawl through the floor, they all took flight, hovering at various strategic locations in the air.

A curious thing happened next, as a light of some rainbowish colors began to be emitted from the walls and ceilings, scanning each and everyone, and everything, in the room.. It stopped the two from trying to get out of the docking bay by picking each and everyone, and everything, up, holding it in the air so that it could scan them.

Even if they were to have looked for an exit, they'd find none. Things could get in, such as air from ventilation. Not out.

Feral growled, his normal shield's overloading having caused him physical pain by the generator overheating and burning his flesh, before throwing up a magic shield, to block any more bullets coming their way. It didn't last nearly as the other would have, but it wasn't meant to, either. At that, the two were going to go into hand-to-claw combat with the security, but they were picked up by the scanner device thing. They struggled in midair, but had no idea what was going on. The scanner would show how the machinery was integrated with their flesh, grafted into them, not kindly either, as there was no regard for dulling or lessening pain caused by the components. If it recorded thoughts, there was no malice running through their mind, no hatred-at least, not for the GOL station. No, running through their minds was instinct, and fear-pure, primal fear. Eventually, Berserk just simply twisted, and restored a semblence gravity for herself and Feral with magic, by magnetizing their feet and the floor of the bay, anchoring them back down. They wouldn't be as fast, but they'd be able to move better, at least.

The rainbow lights stopped, having gotten the information it needed. At that moment, the soldiers from GOL were beamed out of the room by another rainbow-colored light. Electromagnet energy was released in the room in various bursts, and blades began to rise out of the floor and move across it, trying to cut the two in half.

Feral created a magic shield around himself and Berserk, arranging the electrons in the air to form a lead-like bubble around them; it wasn't a actual change in any of the elements, but the bubble was very much like a bubble of lead would be as far as blocking the energy, in order to stop the EMP attacks. The blades were easy enough, as Berkserk simply used her nanites to break them down before they reached the two, by sending tendrils of them at the blades before they reached the two. If that didn't work, Feral and Berserk both had blades of their own, their 'claws', which they'd use to slice the other blades apart as well.

The blades were easily disabled, and the Electromagnet Energy was cut off. The walls of the docking bay suddenly began to release bullets at top velocities which started to bombard against the shields of the two continuously, in an attempt to eventually disable the shields by weakening them.

Feral growled something, to which Berserk growled back, apparently in agreement. She created a thick dome of nanites around the interior of the shield, in order to assimilate the bullets once the shield went down. But, they wouldn't be converted...Just held in place, preventing more bullets from getting to them, for now, anyways.

Once the shield was taken down, portals began to form to bypass the nanite defenses, sending the bullets straight into the confined space between the nanites and the two.

OOC:...Forum ninja'd me, not tellin' me there was a new post grah...>.<

Of course, such a portal would've been visible to the normal eye...And so, Berzerk simply let loose a cloud of nanites to destroy them.
Wasn't like she was running out, after all, considering all her armor was made of them.

..That was exactly what the space station's security had wanted Beserk to do. The nanites, once near the portals, found themselves being beamed out of the room into enclosed areas outside the docking bay, in a clear box in a lab where they could be studied.. Somewhere which they could be kept without escaping.

The box began to slow their ability to function, just in case it had shut down defenses. Scientists began to study the nanites. Meanwhile, more portals kept forming, and the nanites kept being beamed out. Bullets were getting through.

Once away from her, the nanites simply became unresponsive, and broke down. Without Berserk nearby, there wasn't anything holding them together, giving them commands. Literally, without Berserk, the nanites were worthless tiny lumps of metal. It wasn't a shutdown, or a protocall, there just simply wasn't anything giving any form of command they could read. And ofcourse, being attuned to not only biological mental code patterns, but Berserk's specifically, it'd be almost impossible to actually use them for anything other than, if you had enough of them, raw materials.

Back at the twins, Feral saw her tactic wasn't working well enough, and growled, before issuing a loud, lycan howl, which not only pushed back the bullets, but even forcibly canceled out the portals, forcing them to cease existence and frying the generator by overloading the portal with magic-basically, the howl pumped the tiny fraction of a atom's space between the two places the portal connected wth magic, straining the generator or whatever which produced it, and destroying it. In truth, Feral hadn't intended that to be the means of how it was done-he just wanted it done. Immediately, Berzek used her remaining nanites to convert part of the floor into more, replenishing her supply. She nuzzled against Feral for a brief second, before they both dashed to somewhere else, looking for a way deeper into the station.

...Which the mechanized implants detected, then hijacked the two's magic in order to respond first creating a stream of oxygen within their bodies(the implants could filter the oxygen from Carbon Dioxide in order to reuse it constantly, but they'd need a lasting amount of oxugen first), then trapping the heat currently in their bodies, preventing any from leaving. Finally, they magnetized the two enough to allow them to remain grounded if the gravity went off. By removing the need to breath and stopping the heat from leaving their bodies, they were effectively safe in a vacuum, and with their bodies magnetized the way they were, they'd remain in location even if all of the air was being jettisoned out.
With nothing really stopping them, they easily found one of the barriers previously made. Feral looked at it for a little while, then touched it slightly before finding it solid, before growling something to Berserk. She complied with what he said, breaking down the floor, walls, and the roof the barrier touched, attempting to find a way around.

The release stopped, and a corrosive gas was released into the atmosphere of the docking bay. It began to sweep over the bay, breaking the nanites apart faster than they could eat down material. The gas also began to surround Feral and Berserk.

The barrier's space began to shrink, confining them to an even smaller area.

Instinctively, the two kept away from the gas. They crouched on all fours, before they combined their magical energy to corrupt the remaining atmosphere into their favor-As this gas was corrosive, this meant it was highly acidic. So, in order to counteract this acid-air, all that needed to be done was to relevel its place on the PH Scale. They corrupted the air, and the corrosive gas, into turning into a perfect 7 on PH-Perfect neutrality, basically about as dangerous as water, concerning acidic/basic matters. They then rushed the barrier, and since the barrier stopped just where the walls of the pathway were(which I said they'd tested), all Berserk needed to do was break down the walls and floor around the barrier for them to rush right around it, and into the rest of the station.

..But the moment they came out of their magnetized sticking to the floor and began to rush the barrier, the bay opened to the full blast of space as everything in the docking bay was released into open space.

You might think that, in reaction to this, they'd remagnetize themselves to keep from being blown away.
Well, in a sense, they did.
But instead of magnetizing to the ground, they magnetized the space around them in order to create a self-contained magnetic field-Basically, using magnetism, they were rewriting gravity in order to propel them forward, to the side, wherever they'd need to go, by adjusting their field of magnetism they'd be capable of flying past in that direction. The field didn't even need atmosphere-it was just pure magnetism. Of course, they drew a few objects trailing along behind them, which Berserk collected to dismantle later if she'd need the materials later. And so, they made for their opening, flying past the barrier and into the station.

..So it began.

A hooded figure which, if one were to get a good luck at, they could swear it was Zere, began to approach the two as they entered the station. Much of the station began to evacuate. There was running. Screaming.

This man, though, was not. Afraid.

The man looked at the two and with a calm, deep, collected voice that it held within itself, it said, "You will leave."

The figure's words seemed to pulse with energy and power.

Feral and Berserk both growled at him, but their voices carried no contempt, no hatred, only a deep sense of remorse. It was as though they were saying,"We wish we could."

In truth, they did. While they didn't retain the same degree of mental function as before, they did hate what happened to them, the monsters they'd been turned into by those machines. They hated it, but yet they couldn't disobey the commands given by their masters. They couldn't, truly. Perhaps before, back when they were themselves, complete, they might've had the bravery, the courage to face their captors.
But now, they were doing what they did for survival. They knew they wouldn't be killed, but the fear of pain was there. They wished they could just let the people live...But they were too scared to run away. Of what would happen.

Almost understanding the creatures, the hooded figure nodded at them.. But then, it did what it had to do to survive. It protected the station. It was not about to fall. It would survive.

Black markings of an ink-like texture formed a circle below the two. The circle began to glow a rainbow assortment of colors, glowing.

Of course, the two didn't stay put. They leapt out even before the circle was finished being made, and dashed towards him, stopping at around ten feet from him as Feral clawed at the air...And the slash traveled through the air, to slice him in half, before his other arm turned into a machine gun and opened fire at him all in a fluid motion, whereas Berserk spread the nanites along the surface of the floor, so thin a layer that they could not be seen as they went for him from below, creating more nanites from the materials in the floor. She also roared loudly, the shockwave of sound enough to deafen a person's hearing, in a attempt to paralyze him while he clutched his ears in pain.

The circle moved with the two, dancing under them. They were still inside as it finished and began to glow. The slash and the machine gun fire found themselves being absorbed by the rainbow lights, as were the nanites. It was a seal. Zere's specialty.

A dome appeared around Zere which protected him from the sound. The barrier vanished as soon as the sound had passed.

The seal began to absorb Feral and Beserk bit by bit.

As if having mercy on the two, the hooded figure modified his seals so that it would release them on a nearby planet.
