"Thaaaaaats more like it." Maxis says as a bullet hits one of the troopers behind him. He fired into the enemy, killing two with a shot that hit one in the chest and came through to the other.

She starts unloading on them... a bullet hits her vest as she flies back. "Shit!"

Maxis threw a grenade that sent several bodies into the air. And ducked over to her, "Hey, you okay?" He asked, gently checking her for wounds. A bullet clipped his cover. "Dammit! Somebody get a grenadier on them! Mortars, anything!" He yelled.

She gets up and starts shooting again. "Hammerhead, this is 3-1. Requesting support over. Danger close"

Several shots rained down on the enemies.

Then a jet flew over, dropping a payload onto the buildings. They disappeared with a flash and a great plume of white smoke that was wafted back to their group.

"Damn." Maxis said, "Less than fifty feet visibility. Squad, stay close and advance." He said with a glance at Aki.

"Okay, nice and easy." Maxis says, getting out of cover and sending in the point men. They clear the area and signal in the clear. "Alright, you heard them. Get moving to the rendezvous, but stay in formation!" He orders, moving forward through the smoke.

He nods and they clear the smoke. The way in front of them clear but smoke rising from the east. The moved through the buildings until they were almost at the RZ.
