SP as we call it has been an RP Myself and two others on the forum once started long ago on another forum we all frequented (CLTCG: The Code Lyoko Trading Card Game.) It was not a Code Lyoko RP. It started out as a spam forum that a few of us staff members decided to 'claim,' out of fun and games. One staff member named the secret forum on CLTCG 'Japan,' and then him and I both being fans of Japan decided to 'fight over it.'I would claim it one day and put "Owned or Taken over by Hikaru," and he would put his name another day and it went on like that. Well eventually I did more and made Universe. Thinking if I owned the Universe Japan was in that I would own him and Japan. It didn't quite work like that, and with that one move, the whole thing changed forever. He made a forum, I made a forum, he made more, I made more. Eventually we had a bunch of countries, dimensions, realms and a whole slew of different 'lands.' to outdo one another. We would take over each others over and over and it was basically staff abuse in a part of the forum that was secret.Eventually we decided to do it in 3rd person so I would use my online alias he would use his but we would talk in story mode. (This was in 06.) Eventually another staff member joined us and we became the 3 rulers of what we now called, The Opposing Kingdoms, power abuse stunt that turned into a nation-builder conquering RP. A year later, the RP had grown much. Others had stumbled across the secret section and joined, and we had RP battles. We had a story too. The other two and I had made our 'characters,' (Remember they were just our online personas in 3rd person and named after us.) We had made those characters siblings and given them a past of fighting and rivalry and they had become The Sage Three, the three sage siblings that ruled the dimension with their powerful magic and dictator status.But it was still a mess. Half of the lands were called Russia, Japan, and such without even being on Earth. (This would be explained later and left as a plot hole for the time being.)Eventually one such person came in and brought Stargate, Star Wars, Zelda and other such rip-offs from shows/games/moies/books. As it was just for fun we let it slide. But this person also sought to take over the RP and when we had staff fights with one another he eventually created his own site off of CLTCG named, Galactic Empires, the successor to the Opposing Kingdoms or so he wanted it to be.At first us founders didn't agree but we eventually accepted it in as 's2,' and s3 (much later.) This Galactic Empires brought into it new stuff. We in the OK used magic. GE was mostly based on technology and the Alliance that came in and took over the dimension from the Sage Three and the fights that ensued. Much later a new member came in and brought in elements such as gods, and demons, and those types of aspects into the RP, he became one of the very known roleplayers in the group and would stick through to SP.I left after s2 as the creator of GE was too much of a staff power abuser and tried to make the whole RP about him away from us founders. But then heard that after s3 he got worse and closed the board due to a fight of loss of battle. Eventually some members that had been on the board along with one of the founders decided to bring the RP back December 09, this was the incarnation it is in now, Shatteredplanes or SP. With myself paying for domains, Another staff member and myself paying for hosting and all of us members maturing ourselves, taking out rips, explaining plots holes that were left when it was a joke, and making it into a complex, well thought out and work, SP has become a masterpiece, but still lacks members to share in it.That is why I have sought to make a DA RP group for it, to gather artists into the journey so we may illustrate, but also to share with others this work and our universe that we have created. Even more than a universe! We have gone so far as to have quantum physics and other such sciences in the RP, using theories of cosmology and bringing in our own pseudo science of how magic works, and classifying existence its self! We have gone far with this RP, and made it into something both science nerds and those that love technology and the theoretical science fiction battles as well as the fantasy magic users and dreamers can both alike enjoy.
