Now you get to harness that anger. By the end of this battle, if you can't defeat Hikaru in a real SP battle, you fail the class and have to continue your training. I assure you though, by the end of this class, you will be able to defeat Hikaru in a real SP battle. At the very least, you will be an even match for her, and the battle will last a significant amount of time, and be fairly epic. Let's get started, then.
To start off, I want to assure you that the most important aspect you will get from this class is to use your brain, and the second most important aspect you will get from this class is to have fun. If you can master both of these, you're already halfway to victory. The majority of fights are lost on SP because the victor outsmarted the other party. You have to learn how to do that. It's actually quite simple.
A battle works with situational cause --> effect --> cause --> effect. Your opponent casts a ball of fire at you, the effect is that you counter it with a ball of water, the cause is that you throw a ball of water at the ball of fire your opponent casted, the effect is that both are canceled out and become nothing but steam and smoke, assuring a draw, and making sure your ass isn't handed to you.
The trick to a battle is creating a cause that your opponent doesn't know how to react to, thus breaking the chain by making the effect in your favor. If your opponent doesn't know how to react to a ball of fire being thrown at them, at the effect/cause they come up with in response isn't good enough, you win. It's as simple as that.
In all of my battle classes, I like to do a preliminary fight to help me gauge your response levels and the like, so please fill out a character template, any template, just need rough details.
