poems, haikus, and quotes
« on: November 12, 2009, 07:21:24 PM »
so here's how it works. you put down a quote, haiku, or poem the you made or heard...

do i'll start...

the world- by me...

nothing here is as peaceful as it seems...
wars come and go...
there is always a war...
bloodshed or not, the war is always there...
the pain and misery of others...
it can spread until the entire world falls apart...
there is always a war...
most are never seen through life.
guns and bombs...fists and words...
all are harsh...
even the nicest of people have wars in life.
in history or present, life is never without a war.
the darkest hour may be more than an hour...
darkness and rage would fill people to a point where there is no way of turning back...
darkness and rage survives...
through race...
through feeling..
through family...
through everything...
war will always reign on the darkest of people...

When you walk to the edge of all the light you have left, and you take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, you may believe one of two things will happen. Either there will be something for you to walk upon, or you will learn how to fly.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Nice one....

Stone

The day everything turned to stone...
was the day everything went silent...
If life is boring the world turns to a stone,
however if life turns into stone
you may one day appreciate
the life you have as a stone
and turn it into a beautiful crystal
someday...

(yeah i wrote that descrition on deviantart pic called stone)

Necroposting tiem... I've recently taken an interest in poetry. Lemme know what you think...

Sing, sing, sing.

Sing, sing, sing, like you never sang before.
Till your lungs burst, and your laying on the floor.
Sing for the dead, sing for the living.
Sing for greed, sing for giving.
I'll write a song, About how you're gone.
I'm your last hero,
Your last resort.
Running low on ammo,
Never gonna abort.
Sing, sing, sing.

Never forget,
The day I let,
The dogs of war,
Settle the score,
With who?
You.

Sing, singing, sang.

The Unsolved Problem

What was said?
What was done?
He stood on a mountain
Didn't take it in
Now it's gone

Same ol' thing
She felt so drained up
Same ol' thing
He was not loved
And what was it all for?

It's a riddle, I gotta solve it
It's a fiddle, will you play for a small bit?
It's a question, but it has an answer
The unsolved problem, the unsolved riddle.

And this is, and this is
And this is the last time
No more, no more
No more sadness; It's all good
From Here On

We Been, We Been
We been dealing
The cards, the cards
We been loosing
The game

It's a riddle, I gotta solve it
It's a fiddle, will you play it for a small bit?
It's a question, but it has an answer
The unsolved problem, the unsolved riddle

So open up your text book, boy
And read in between those golden lines of highschool
The social handtool
And solve it.

It's a riddle, I gotta solve it
It's a fiddle, will you play it for a small bit?
It's a question, but it has an answer
The unsolved problem, the unsolved riddle
The unsolved riddle (x3)
The unsolved problem
And how have we come this far?

Woah, oh, the unsolved..

(really cool unstellar! lolavi... The avi is against the poem!!!)

searching for an answer

day by day
I search

But for what?
The meaning of life?
The spring to warm the winter?

I search...
For answers of the unknown....
I seek and scan....
And yet....
I can't find it....

I search for spring...
As I hardenned to the chilling depths of winter
i await the spring...

I search for meanings....
For life's answers....
It's hard to find....
And I still look....

I will search...
However long...
However far...
I will search...

I need answers....
And I can't find them....

Thank you sir, You're not so bad yourself. He's some of my other work...

Some nights, a bullet through my brain,
Sounds better than thinking about you.
Those nights, no matter how I refrain,
All I see, is those eyes so blue.

So tired, just want to sleep.
Will this night ever end?
All I ever was to you was a creep,
but you were, a dear friend.

The more I think about it,
The less of a friend I was.
I didn't blame you when you quit.
I don't blame you now.

Maybe I'm just trying too hard to let go.
Should it be this hard? How do I know?
Does it come naturally or through some campaign?
I still think of you when down falls the rain.

I'm not trying to call out to you,
I'm not trying to make it more difficult for you.
(And now I wonder if it was difficult at all. I don't think it was.)
Memories of you seem to be just one fuzz.

I'm just trying to clear my head.
I'm just trying, to save the poetry inside of me.
On that day I thought it was dead.

I hope you never read this poem.
I hope for you there will always be a home.
I'm trying so hard to be done,
No matter how hard I try, I always see the sun.

Maybe I'm just being over dramatic.

Rival and a holy man

Tilt the blade
Tip the hat
Burn the holy man
He lies
He lies
The world is not coming to an end
Only we are coming to an end
The world will remain without us
Dip the spoon
Load the rifle
Shoot your rival
He took your swoon
Dying
Is nothing important

I was listening to way too much swing music when I wrote this.

This Night is Gonna End

Heya girlie, well ain't you a pretty sight,
With short blonde hair, blue eyes cold as night,
Once your in my arms I begin to see the light.
Closer girl, trust me I don't bite.

You're my baby tonight
Gonna jump and jive
Dance all through the night...
Good to know we're alive

Cause I'm gonna jive with my baby tonight
Gonna jump and swing with my baby tonight
I am yours, you is mine
Baby baby jump in line

Don't we feel fine!
You got your wine,
Gin and tonic's all I need,
Now let's step up the speed.

Never sit down, you can stop dancin' when your dead,
Baby the night is ours, forever to swing, let's not waste it.
When the band is this swingin' and we're dancin' no need to go to bed.
Come on baby keep dancing, there is no need to sit.

Never felt finer than tonight.
Tomorrow mornin's gonna be a pain,
But let's just keep thinking 'bout tonight.
To think about anything else is a thought in vain.

Dunno what's comin' round the bend.
Just keep swingin', ignorant of the fact,
That this night is gonna end.

Written for a friend in a hard time of her life...
--

It's so hard to do what we said when were twelve.
Cause things are so different a year later, books closed I'm on the shelve.
Tween friends dropped for teen friends
Falling falling on endless ends

But that was only the beginning..

Seems like one move I make
Will lead endless consequences
I feel it all begin to quake
shattered, hiding in the trenches

cause things have changed since we were twelve.

And it's so hard when everything you say and everything you do
Always ends up wrong.
Everything I thought I was, everything I thought I'd be, unraveled and shattered like you.
So now I'm singing this song.

Trying to make sense of what to do.
Hey, I love you.
Lets run far and far from who we thought we are

If we had wings we'd always be running
But sometimes you just got to stand and take it on the chin.
Even when everything makes no sense.
Weeks have passed since 13, and I'm ready to turn in.

It just doesn't make sense anymore.
If I had wings I'd fly
If we had wings we'd fly
But even than I don't why

You see I don't even know why I run from what I don't know
Cause what's the point in running from what helps you grow?

Well, right now everything goes bad.
Happiness once, anger the next.
It seems like we've been had.

I guess in the end we'll be stronger.
For now let's endeavor and fight this.
All my choices just seem wronger and wronger.
Everthing's just so hit and miss

If we had wings, we'd fly far away.
But we don't.
So let's face this, all together, and sway

The End

What more in the world is left for me
Why don't they know
Why can't they see?

The person inside
The World I hide
And the inner, screaming to be free

I'm different from them
I know this as true
But they just can't see...
Things from my view...

Are they so blind
To what they cannot unwind?
Are they so cruel?
To what rebels their rule?
Or do they not know
The world I will not show...

There I can be me,
The person I am
And the people around?
I don't give a damn!
Let them live,
let them die!
Let them burn,
and let them cry!

I'm sick of the world
Sick of it's fate
Every day?
I feel nought, but hate.

Family of conflict
Friends are lies
Love all around?
Hah, just broken ties.

No one cares,
They just think they do.
But I see through it
The mask of them,
The mask of you.

I'm through with society
Things that cannot mend
I'm through with it all
So say "The end!"

"If I wore a tie, it wouldn't change who I am. If I had no piercings, it wouldn't mean I'm nice. And if my hair was black, it wouldn't stop me from kicking your ass! Who do you think you are anyway? Do you think you're god? Huh?"-Hatsuharu Sohma from the show Fruit Basket.

I wrote a yarn. It was an assignment....

They have yarns

Of rain so heavy the fish would drown

Of tsunamis so thick skyscrapers would crumble

Of evergreen trees so tall it would take until the end of time to climb

Of fish so large mechanical cranes would be used to catch them

Of Internet so fast lightning couldn't catch up

Of mountains so high that it would reach the moon

-----

A yarn is a form of storytelling with lots and LOTS of exaggeration.

"The People, Yes" is one of them.
