As his mentor Avidan had taught him Valor assumed the stance of the swordsman, arm out stretched but no blade in it. He would not need a blade at this key moment in time as this was a spell that would take him to learn more Negion than Avidan was able to teach him. He needed to be at his best for the tournament.
