Supply and Demand: We Demand.
« on: February 13, 2012, 01:42:58 PM »
Five of the newly retrofitted Avenger Class ships would arrive in the area and portals would be opened. The ships were far away enough to avoid the creature in this place. The portals would begin to suck up the damaged ships and circuitry and what not that existed in this place. It was not an invasion but sort of a gathering of parts and tools needed. True the stuff was old but it would be useful to have raw resources to use for a rail gun or similar.  The abandoned ships and broken down pieces of metal and wires would all be suctioned up by the portals into pocket dimensions. The Five ships would have AM on and those portals would be generated through artificial means ie an artificial Psi machine on board each ship.

Before they could begin taking various parts in the junkyard, Anrufe defense weapons -- Phase Guns -- locked onto the new arrivals, and an encrypted transmission was sent to the Anrufe base, informing them of the new arrival.

But the ships withdrew the moment the guns were pointed at them, and the portals appeared inside the metal and began absorbing it...turning it in on itself and going to cause the entire area to collapse on itself if the portals were not stopped. Yet they were not generated using M. but using artificial psi technology that had been on board each one of the ships. The ships had all Order warped away.

A simple POR field stopped the portals.

True the portals had been stopped, but who had been here?
