Bladecasters

Race Name: Bladecasters, can be any magically capable race.

Physical Appearance: The Bladecasters look like whatever race they come from. They appear almost exactly like them except for a few anomalies that marks them out as a bladecaster. The first and most obvious is the presence of the rune of the Bladecaster, what appears to be a circle with wings and three lines intersecting it. This mark can appear on any part of the Bladecaster's body and its colour depends on the colour of the bladecaster's magic which doesn't matter all too much. Another thing slightly different about them is that their eyes also end up matching the colour of their magic and as such, they can end up a rather strange variation from the race's normal eye colour as magical colour can range from any colour and any shade of said colour. The last thing that is somewhat obvious is their change in magical signature and any magical organs they may have, which have both been slightly shrunken and apparently weakened but it is not so, they are in fact condensed and concentrated, thus making them more powerful but specialised.

Abilities, Traits: The main thing that sets Bladecasters apart from any other member of their race is their magic, which is highly focused and weakens their ability to do most other spells or types of magic. The Bladecasters however gain what is known simply as a Blade, which they name according to their purpose. The purpose of a bladecaster is what they fight for and it powers their blade, it can be absolutely anything even just the fight itself but it can't be unbreakable for in that lies the bladecaster's weakness, if their purpose is broken or they change their mind about it, their blade fails to work, leaving them usually defenseless. Level 0-4 Bladecasters must also have their blades made of a magically conductive material or magically infused material for it to work, they cannot summon their blades from nothing.

The power and number of blades a bladecaster can have is dependent on their magical level. Also, when a bladecaster is, or reaches, level 5 their blade gains a specialist property, it can be anything they think of, as long as it fits within the rules, but it is not generally very strong. At Level 6, their blade gains a second property and their first property gets upgraded in strength, making it more viable to use.

Level 0: These Bladecasters are capable of only summoning a single, weak blade that is usually easily extinguished by other bladecasters and they have a limited amount of strength able to be put into these blades. These blades are generally able to cut through an unarmoured human with barely any trouble, armour however proves troublesome.

Level 1: Level 1 bladecasters are able to summon a medium strength blade or two, very weak blades. The weak blades are equivalent to a Level 0's blade but the medium strength blade is able to cut through unarmoured humans like a hot knife through butter and have barely any trouble with light to medium armour, they have trouble with heavy armour or tanks however.

Level 2: Bladecasters of level 2 are usually able to summon an above medium strength blade, allowing them to carve into tanks, albeit with difficulty, tear apart heavy armour and even cut through light vehicles with a little bit of effort required. They cannot swing their blades very fast however, nor with very much skill as they still only have light control over the blades they wield.

Level 3: Level 3 Bladecasters can summon a strong blade, allowing them to hack into tanks and other vehicles with relative ease and they can bring more of their magical might and muscle to bear, allowing them to swing their blades faster and harder than previous levels albeit still with not a lot of skill, making them somewhat inefficient but still rather deadly.

Level 4: They can summon a very strong blade and even two medium strength blades albeit this splits their concentration and weakens their skill when trying to fight with two weapons. The one blade they can summon however is able to pierce through tanks easily and can even hack through spacecraft with ease, they can also put a lot of skill and strength into these weapons, making them very deadly.

Level 5: These are the second most powerful bladecasters and they are capable of summoning two strong blades or one master level blade, able to carve through most metals with ease and slice tanks in half with extreme ease, these bladecasters can also put a lot of strength, speed and skill behind their weapons, making them a terror on the battlefield because of the ridiculous damage and speed that their strikes can pull off.

Level 6: Level 6 Bladecasters can only ever summon one blade and it is of a God level variety, capable of cleaving through almost anything with barely any effort required, these bladecasters are spoken of in hushed whispers and with scared looks. A level 6 is distinguished by the mark being on the back of the neck, somewhere that it never usually is on a bladecaster of lower level. They are able to put their entire thoughts into their blade, making it react as fast as they can and hit with more power than a cannon shell from a super capital ship. These bladecasters have became one with their blade, making them extremely powerful and very, very difficult to actually hit, let alone kill.

Typical Lifespan: Same as the race they come from.

Public or private?: Public, also, don't need my approval for them, only the approval of the person that made the race they come from.

Other information: None, really, feel free to ask questions however.
