Empire Name: Pax
Primary Race: Imbellis and Bellicus
Empire Description: The people of Pax, the Imbellis, are a race completely devoted to peace. Seeing war, fighting, and any kind of violence as acts to detest. They were once like any other normal race, in seeking power amongst their galaxy, and showing no mercy. But with every battle, came more loss, and soon they saw the error of their ways through the dwindling of their people. So they locked the darker parts of their powers, sealed any destructive thoughts, and as a collective whole decided on linking their spirits together. Seeing life as a thing to be respected and protected, they decided on this action, so if one died, they would all share the pain.
But like any other path to peace, you can make a paradise, but there will always be those to ruin it. And for the Imbellis, this was true as well. There are those that didn't want to commit to peace and thus sought to release the destructive parts of their powers, and for this they were outcasted and grouped together to become the Bellicus. Though unable to kill the Imbellis, for being linked to them, the two groups co-exist in the same empire.
Although an empire, they have no leader..as of yet.
Additional Information:
Apperance: The people of Pax look like humans for the most part, but with few differences. Such as pointed, kender-like ears, and almost shaped lilac eyes. The females, also have gossamer butterfly/fair-like wings.
Magic:Their magic is something of confusion. Though they can learn the common spells of other races, through spell books. Their natural born magic is not of inner or outer energy, or even physical influence, but of their emotions. As other spell casters speak spells, or draw on energy, the people of pax use their emotions to draw their inner most-words, their thoughts, to have effects. Such as anger, would release attack, rage, releasing a more destructive attack. Their powers will affect, depending on their thoughts and feelings.
However because the Imbellis chose the path of peace, the removed the ability from themselves to become angry, through meditation and spellery. Therefore the art of thoughts to attack, has been lost.
For the Bellicus, they have re-gained the ability to get angry, and therefore they must be strict on themselves to stay neutral at all times that aren't attacking, thus muting their emotions.
Tech: The people of Pax are not against technoloy, nor do they use it. They just simply do not know of it, having not been introduced for years. The elders that would have known about it from before, have long since forgotten, making technology something of the past to them, along with space travel at the moment.
