Day of Her Release?
« on: January 01, 2013, 08:18:14 PM »
Day 132 of Captivity. Red Zero had been in containment for quite some time, and she'd hardly gotten any response from the Mechera when she prodded them for answers. Was Delta still alive? Her son? The rest of the Anrufe? What had happened a few weeks ago with the strange attack on the facility? Was she going to be killed? Held in captivity for the rest of her days? She needed answers, and  she wasn't getting them.

"I'll make a deal," her voice echoed outward into the darkness.

Her hair was slowly regrowing, and her skin had mostly repaired itself over time, but this was not the same woman as the one who'd been placed here months ago.

Despite the secrecy, her containment cell was at least comfortable. They didn't tell her outright, but she WAS a political hostage, although as the Mechera never did gain the proper anti-chronomancy technologies to allow a proper invasionary force, these terms proved largely inconsequential except to safeguard the Mechera from assault by the DAIS in the meantime. The only being present was a female of a humanoid species unknown outside of the Mechera Empire, a race enslaved through Propaganda and Media Hub technologies in their campaign to possess their home dimension centuries ago. She appeared to possess spines instead of hair, which trailed across her back, and pure red eyes with no iris or pupil((there's bound to be other differences from humans but I'll let you fill in the gaps since this character probably wont appear very often so meh)). What was perhaps strangest, however, was her expression(and that of any of the other servants that no doubt made rounds in these quarters aboard the First Battalion)-While she was clearly a slave to the Mechera Empire, and in fact was entirely aware of this fact, she seemed...Uncaring of it. She held little negative emotional response towards this fact, and referred to her masters respectfully and without sarcasm...Or, even strangee, fear. If Red Zerowasas careful to take notice, she might have found herself aware that this was probably due to artificial programming into the subconscious of the race, but without her magic and confined to this room, she'd of course have no way to test such theories. In any case, the girl looked at her current mistress for a few seconds, a dim expression on her face, before bowing and leaving to inform a Mechera officer of what'd been said. Moments later she returned, and said,"My Lord asks what you have to offer from your position to make one?"

Red Zero looked up, examining the slave who she'd seen quite frequently during her captivity in the First Battalion. She didn't know who this woman was and hadn't said so much as a word to her, but she could tell by looking in those red eyes that this woman was numb. Red Zero felt herself becoming more and more like this woman everyday, less optimistic -- conforming. Her passion was fading very quickly, the fire that was her existence slowly being put out.
"I know the location of the Anrufe's secret military stronghold," she revealed, "And it's not Ground Island."

OOC:Damnit I keep meaning to actually post places but then I get distracted before I can or other stuff happens. So very sorry, K2. ;.;

The slave stared blankly at her for a few seconds and was about to leave before apparently thinking of something. "I do not believe Ground Island was a particularly secret location." She said, turning her head in slight confusion at her mistress' words for a few seconds, before once more leaving to relay the information to the same Mechera Officer. After a few minutes she returned, saying,"Before my Lords will be able to begin negotiations, I am afraid that proof will be required of the veracity of your information. In addition, my Lord requests some degree of information to prove that it is not already known to the United."

"Ask your lord what he knows of the old Narrikian settlement of Setus Prime," Red Zero replied, "And what has become of it."
She sighed. Was she really doing the right thing? Betraying her people like this?

OOC:Dude Im still waiting on you to tell me what happened on Setus Prime so I can actually answer your character's question. I've asked you like three or four times now and you just say you'll look it up and tell me when you did. '>>
I'd go look it up myself but Setus was one of those planets whose name was changed following something or other and I cant find which planet is which.

OOC:Thank you, now I can actually respond, though thats...Really not a lot of information but I'll see what I can do with it. ;~; Was talking with Lyoko, and considering that the reason this took so long was a miscommunication, lets...uh...Lets kinda make this take place just after the Anrufe disappeared like it was supposed to, for Chronology's sake. '>>

The Slave once more left and, moments later, returned. "According to the information at my lord's disposal, Setus Prime has fallen some time ago. It was destroyed, to be exact."

"That's... Impossible," she replied, a bit dumbfounded, "What about Ground Island? Or Walape? I can give you access to their defence mainframes. I can..." She paused. Could... could it really be true? Had the Anrufe been... Defeated? No. There had to be some kind of mistake. They had just moved, again. That had to be it. There was no way that they could have been defeated. Right?
"Delta," she whispered quietly, worry setting in her soul at the thought that something may have happened to him. She had to get out of here, to find him, to make sure he was okay. She had to...
Stopping, she broke down, her knees hitting the floor... Could it really be... over?
