((I was overcome by the same problem as well, it seems.))
"Alright. It might be better to start off with something simpler. I haven't done this in almost 8 years..." The Embodiment spoke, and it was indeed the truth. Since the 8 years of the destruction of False Heaven, he hadn't touched a single alchemic circle, much less even practiced the art. Whether it was out of respect for Eve, or that he simply just didn't need it, was unknown.
"To begin alchemy, you must have spirit. Not magic or anything else of the sort, but spirit. Though a bit of magic can go a long way." He began, drawing a circle that he made up on the spot out of flame with his finger. "This particular one... Well, I forgot what it does, to be honest. You will need some kind of material though." He mentioned, looking at the inscriptions of the unknown language. How much did the rebirth cost him of his alchemic abilities? He knew he forgot many things, but now he was forgetting the runes? Did he even remember the Epoch ci-
Wait, he remembered that one. He only performed it almost over an infinity of times and made a defense system based around it that ultimate held off everything that was thrown at it until a certain summon from a certain individual went after the power source and, well, the rest was history. He silently told himself that if he ever met the person that summoned that thing, he'd do some less than unsavory things to said individual.
Faote pulled a chunk of metal out from his clothing. He had found it a few years ago, thinking it was debris from False Heaven, but he was fooling himself. It was time to let go of it. He drew a circle off to the side of the circle (Still inside it.) and placed the chunk there, and drew a few more lines connecting it to the center.
"And then, you place your hands on it, and think of, well, a word. This word is your focus word, and it can be anything you feel importance to. When I started alchemy, my word was 'family,' since they were important to me. But once you think of that word, memories will flash by. Let them, as your spirit is contained in those memories, and they're being transferred to the circle. Once the circle glows, you know you did it right." He explained, taking another look at the circl-
Oh, it was already glowing. It was made of fire, after all. ".. Here, I'll start for you."
He placed both of his hands on it, and closed his eyes. It had been forever since he'd done the practice, and without a philosopher's stone, he had to do it the old fashioned way.
Eve.
The memories surged forth, and in but a second, the circle of fire changed to a green color. The metal that was off to the side began to shrink, as small pieces began to transfer over to the center, building an entirely new object...
A chain necklace. Though, at the end of the necklace, was a hilt of sorts, something to hold some sort of Jewel. He remembered what the circle was for, instantly. It was the chain necklace he first made when he finally created his first Philosopher's stone, when his age was a double digit number.
He took the necklace out from the center, and the fires changed back to their usual golden red that accompanies most fire. "There's still some metal left. You try it. Only... let me make a small adjustment." He mentioned, before taking another look at the runes. He still didn't understand them, but regardless, he knew what he wanted the circle to do. He lifted his hand in front of him, and as if instinct had taken over, he let his hand guide itself into changing the circle. It only changed a few runes, but nonetheless, it was done.
So my body remembers, but not my mind... I never thought I'd see the day of that happening. The thought briefly passed, looking at his temporary student.
I wonder how she'll like the pendant...?
