All life, shine.
« on: February 13, 2012, 01:23:02 AM »
A swirling aether whipped about an untouched part of space, littered of stars, stars as far as not only the eye, but the soul could see and sense. Swirling, endlessly, as an entirely new galaxy began to form. It was like many before it, it's light azure radiating throughout the darkest pits of space as it's shining rays would eventually reach planets already inhabited in the usual parts of space. It's arms, outstretched to reach out to it's sibling galaxies...

Galaxies that, too have been created these past 8 years. And in the middle of them all, floated a single man. No, Embodiment. The Embodiment of Heat, Faotemaru. These galaxies held no life yet, but they will, given lots of time. In fact, the Embodiment hoped that the life that would spring from these galaxies long after the lifetimes of many people in the planes died out, that they would at least be in peace, and live harmoniously. The Embodiment first began creating stars in the vast reaches of space, far beyond any faction may dare look for him, to not only expand on his new abilities, but to also get away from everything. He wasn't ready to return to the main part of the plane just yet. He didn't want to go back, to see endless battles and wars be fought solely because they want to fight, or to gain control of everything.
That wasn't the way of life, of heat, of stars. That was madness. And he couldn't dare do anything to stop it alone. And even if he attempted to, it would only be False Heaven all over again.

So now, really, Faotemaru bides his time, forming entire galaxies to meditate near, and pulsate the heat of one's spirit throughout them. He hadn't perfected his abilities in being an embodiment yet, not only after 8 years, but he had been trained a lot, lot better than some newer embodiments when they first came into being. After all, in only 8 years, he made a cluster of Galaxies. There was possibly no other that could do the same, not without massive funding and needing to pull together a team that shared similar ideals, only to have them tear at each other out of greed and...
The thought sickened him.

In fact, the only good thing that came out of his rebirth was the abolishment of the Negi inside of him. When he rebirthed into the Embodiment of Heat, Urametoaf, the Negi, was decimated. There was absolutely no sign left in him that still existed in the Alchemist's body. If anyone even felt the shockwave that emanated throughout the planes, signalling his birth into Embodimenthood, none came after him, nor did anyone bother to pay much heed. Perhaps it was a good thing. He had no intention of getting caught up in the affairs of other Embodiments, nor did he wish to meddle in the affairs of anyone that dared own a faction, for they only would want him for evil, or no good purposes. He learned his lesson at False Heaven. There was no dealing with anyone of any kind, and expecting everything to turn out okay.

So, since then, Faotemaru tried to change his outlook for the better. It was better to just live for not only himself, but his two remaining children as well. And thus far, it has worked.

But sadly, all good isolation comes to an end. In some random area of one of the random galaxies that Faotemaru has created appeared a sudden burst of ridiculous high powered energy. From the epicenter was a single crying girl, looking no older than 18- Grasping her head in the fetal position in the middle of space.

"Oh gods, did one of those factions actually follow me all the way out here? Really? I swear, if it's those Narrikians..." Faotemaru automatically began to curse to himself. He didn't like the fact that he was found, or rather, the fact that some dumb empire decided to follow him to a place beyond all comprehension just to get some territory that he fully intended for it to be left alone so that they may provide for themselves and hopefully live peacefully. He previously dealt with a lot of different races back when he was head admin of False Heaven, and dealt with a few empires diplomatically. He knew most of them, and what kind of shenanigans they were up to, or at least, what they wanted the most.

When the Alchemist arrived, though, one part of his concerns were alleviated, another began to weigh down. He saw the girl cry, and needed no other explanation nor thought. The father in him kicked in. Though, to be honest, there wasn't a time when he wasn't a father ever since he became an Embodiment.

"Cry. Let it all out, and let what troubles you flow from your mind." Faote said, almost on instinct, with the most soothing voice he could muster. His very presence as the embodiment of Heat warmed the surrounding area, in space, where there was absolutely nothing TO warm up. He could relate to this girl; He had been in her shoes countless, countless times, where he would cry endlessly in the darkest abyss', only for the silence, and the negi to keep him company. That was something that even he knew was utterly painful.

He outstretched his arm, and placed it on her shoulder. "I don't know what you've been through, but I'm here if you need a shoulder to cry on."

She looked up at the Alchemist and embraced him, still crying "I'm" She sobbed "So sorry..." She could barely loose a single word without sobbing "I'll l-leave your space if you want me t-to" Tears streamed from her eyes, floating away in the emptiness of space.

"H-hey now, you're more than welcome here." Faotemaru scrambled the words together, patting the girl's head. "You cry like I used to, pushing everyone away or feeling like you're in the way of others, when in reality, doing so is the worst thing you could do to yourself." The Embodiment remembered those days when he did the exact same thing. In his sorrow, he was alone. Always. He felt alone when his father died right in front of him, when Eve was no more, when all of those people on False Heaven that he couldn't save died as well.
It was a depressing feeling, being alone. He seldom felt it nowadays, but he remembered just how painful it was, like hell itself had it's grasp on your very soul, pulling you towards it's damned gates.

"Now, what's wrong?" Faote posed the question in his most fatherly voice he had, which was his voice all the time. But, he already had a feeling what had been done.

The girl looked into his eyes, wiping a couple of drops of water from them "I..." She muttered, looking back down again "I just... Miss my Daddy." She was still crying but she managed to compose herself enough. Her father, Haseo, had died a couple of years back and she was truly never over it. Terrence basically forcing seeing Allen's death upon her had infact brought back the whole experience of losing someone. The levels of power this one young girl emanated, even when sad would have seemed ridiculous for a girl her age; Almost completely unnatural. "I-I'm sorry..... You must be b-busy..."

"Me? I'm just stringing up a bunch of lights. ... Lights that will probably come to house sentient life within the next few thousand millennia or so provided those other empires don't come out of nowhere and make a mess of the place, but you get what I mean." Faotemaru joked, chuckling. But now probably wasn't the time for jokes.
"But... you need to realize, those that you truly care for, those that really meant something in your life, they're never really gone. They're always with you, living on in your memories. Sure their spirit is someplace else, or in some cases, maybe they don't actually have a spirit... but as long as you never forget them, they can never truly be torn from you. The very proof would be you yourself. You are proof that they lived, and you are the very evidence that..." Faote started out, but he eventually slowed down. He wasn't good at this death thing.
"... Look, the point is, you can't let yourself be dragged down by who you lose. Nothing is eternal, not even the very stars in the night sky. Accepting that is a part of life, and once you do, you can grow to be ever stronger because of what your father gave to you while he was alive. It took the loss of my daughter to realize that, to stop crying endlessly, and finally live. She made me more happier than what I could possibly ever hope to be, and I don't intend on letting what she gave to me fade away." He straightened out, and spilled his pure feelings.
And in the midst of that, tears welled up in his own eyes as well.

"Don't let his loss ruin... ruin your life l-like I have..."

The girl looked at Faotemaru, tears still welling but she seemed at least sated "T-Thank you mister.." She sobbed a little into Faote's chest as she looked at all the stars "Did you m-make all these? They're pretty" She let go, wiping her tears and floating back a little bit "Daddy used to make things too..."

"Thank you." The Alchemist thanked upon the girl's compliment, and watched her float back. Another reason he started making galaxies and stars wasn't just for practice, or for the intent of life to spring forth, away from everything, but he also started on it to marvel at it's beauty.

But then her statement about her father stopped everything. ".. he made stars and galaxies too?" Faotemaru uttered just slightly under his breath, his smile fading to a puzzled look...
The Embodiment of Heat, the one before him, which was his father? Did his father have another child...? Or was it the Embodiment before his father? He was pretty sure only the Embodiment of Heat was capable of actually producing genuine stars, so... did this girl know something?

"May I ask who your father was?"

"His name was Haseo." Freya smiled, twirling on spot as her eyes glassed over "He wasn't as strong as you but he made lots of things! Not as pretty as stars but..." She floated next to him, the blueprints Haseo had drawn before his death in her hands "He wanted to make this but he..." She trailed off a moment before putting the blueprints away again "Yeah. So i'm gonna make them! It's kinda weird though..." Freya twirled in place again and looked to Faotemaru "I can't do the special magic he did to make things."

"Haseo?" He repeated, the words hung on his mind, tearing into it for remembering even the slightest mention of the name.

He knew no Haseo.

But as he came upon this revelation, and sunk back down to a form of disappointment, he caught the blueprint she flashed towards him in his sight, and in that very instant, it was ingrained in his very sight. It was an alchemic plan. He recognized one when he saw one, and there was not once where he forgot about any plan that he ever saw.
That was, before his rebirth. Now, he barely remembered a single plan he ever saw in his past life.

Freya's eyes widened in excitement "I... I would love to!" A huge grin rolled across her face as she floated upside down looking into Faote's eyes "Daddy was gonna teach me but he never found the time..."

((I was overcome by the same problem as well, it seems.))

"Alright. It might be better to start off with something simpler. I haven't done this in almost 8 years..." The Embodiment spoke, and it was indeed the truth. Since the 8 years of the destruction of False Heaven, he hadn't touched a single alchemic circle, much less even practiced the art. Whether it was out of respect for Eve, or that he simply just didn't need it, was unknown.

"To begin alchemy, you must have spirit. Not magic or anything else of the sort, but spirit. Though a bit of magic can go a long way." He began, drawing a circle that he made up on the spot out of flame with his finger. "This particular one... Well, I forgot what it does, to be honest. You will need some kind of material though." He mentioned, looking at the inscriptions of the unknown language. How much did the rebirth cost him of his alchemic abilities?  He knew he forgot many things, but now he was forgetting the runes? Did he even remember the Epoch ci-
Wait, he remembered that one. He only performed it almost over an infinity of times and made a defense system based around it that ultimate held off everything that was thrown at it until a certain summon from a certain individual went after the power source and, well, the rest was history. He silently told himself that if he ever met the person that summoned that thing, he'd do some less than unsavory things to said individual.

Faote pulled a chunk of metal out from his clothing. He had found it a few years ago, thinking it was debris from False Heaven, but he was fooling himself. It was time to let go of it. He drew a circle off to the side of the circle (Still inside it.) and placed the chunk there, and drew a few more lines connecting it to the center.
"And then, you place your hands on it, and think of, well, a word. This word is your focus word, and it can be anything you feel importance to. When I started alchemy, my word was 'family,' since they were important to me. But once you think of that word, memories will flash by. Let them, as your spirit is contained in those memories, and they're being transferred to the circle. Once the circle glows, you know you did it right." He explained, taking another look at the circl-
Oh, it was already glowing. It was made of fire, after all. ".. Here, I'll start for you."

He placed both of his hands on it, and closed his eyes. It had been forever since he'd done the practice, and without a philosopher's stone, he had to do it the old fashioned way.
Eve.
The memories surged forth, and in but a second, the circle of fire changed to a green color. The metal that was off to the side began to shrink, as small pieces began to transfer over to the center, building an entirely new object...

A chain necklace. Though, at the end of the necklace, was a hilt of sorts, something to hold some sort of Jewel. He remembered what the circle was for, instantly. It was the chain necklace he first made when he finally created his first Philosopher's stone, when his age was a double digit number.
He took the necklace out from the center, and the fires changed back to their usual golden red that accompanies most fire. "There's still some metal left. You try it. Only... let me make a small adjustment." He mentioned, before taking another look at the runes. He still didn't understand them, but regardless, he knew what he wanted the circle to do. He lifted his hand in front of him, and as if instinct had taken over, he let his hand guide itself into changing the circle. It only changed a few runes, but nonetheless, it was done.
So my body remembers, but not my mind... I never thought I'd see the day of that happening. The thought briefly passed, looking at his temporary student.
I wonder how she'll like the pendant...?

(Dude I am so sorry I missed this xD)
The young foxes eyes widened as the pendant was made before her "Daddy..." It was almost a whisper as she stared at the trinket "May I try?" She brought her hands out, almost touching the circle- Yet she hesitated. Could she really even attempt her father's arts? Given she was created from Alchemy she had no idea if she could ever do it. "I uhm... Daddy made me with this stuff." She raised her shirt slightly to show an alchemic circle on her stomach, burned in like a scar- It was this simply holding her together. Haseo had not done a good enough job in her body; Without the circle her body wouldnt be able to contain the levels of power she had imbued within her "I don't know if I can..."

((Yeah, I'll wrap things up here too! I'm really really really sorry!))

Faote took a look at the Alchemic circle hewn into her stomach. She was a homunculus. But the homunculi Faotemaru made had absolutely no trouble with alchemy. But then again, when he made them, he had the philosopher's stone, and he made them so well that they hadn't needed any markings on them to hold them together. In fact, any markings they had were purely to make themselves better, and they were out of sight; fused into their very bones so any enemy alchemists couldn't make use of them.

But regardless of the craftsmanship of a homunculus, he hadn't ever read anything about Homunculi not being able to perform alchemy, unless the creator of said homunculus denied them that right in their creation.
"In fact, you should try regardless. If you can, that'd be great. If not, I can try my best to make it where you can." The embodiment stated. And he was right about that. He no longer had a philosopher's stone, but he was pretty sure he could feed his embodiment status into an Epoch Circle to make it work. And if not, there was always the usual way. The way he did BEFORE he had the stone.
And even if that didn't work, he was the Embodiment of Heat, the force that enkindled life and nudged it forward. He could instill that energy in her to make it work.

Freya's hands shook as she raised them to the circle and closed her eyes
Daddy
The circle lit up bright green once more as the metal left to the side merged with the chain inside it. Freya's memories, alongside those of the spirits within her flowed inside the circle- Very nearly overloading it. The circle upon Freya's stomach glowed through her shirt, both circles were seemingly unraveling.
Tears streamed from the foxes eyes, memories of her father flowing out of her mind and flowing into the circle alongside her immense power.

[Let's NOT leave this topic to die for months at a time again... Despite the fact that I dun wanna RP Faote anymore.]

The alchemist watched the young one begin her first alchemic transmutation, with almost a smile on his face. But it very nearly turned to a look of shock and fear once he saw the raw power she possessed. Faote remembered what it was like when he started out; having lost everything. Almost every alchemic transmutation he attempted would overflow to an explosion because of the raw feelings that he had at the time.

But, nothing like this. He had to stop it before she hurt herself. The embodiment made a waving motion of his hand, as if signalling something in his body to activate; to create an Epoch circle around them to cease the transmutation.

The Embodiment made a miscalculation though; To form and successfully use the Epoch circle, one MUST have a philosopher's stone. An object he no longer carried on him. An object forever sealed away in countless layers of pocket dimensions, reflected in several false realities and warded off by the most powerful magicks that the Embodiment was capable of. Merely touching it caused him great pain. Of course there was at least one other; Shu had one integrated in his body. It wasn't impossible to make it. But to come up with one now?
He hadn't even the materials.

The more time he seemed to idly stand by, the more powerful the circle began to shine, immense energies literally pouring out of it into the surrounding stars. He had to make one here and now. The list of ingredients immediately rolled into his mind.

Five gallons of Blood
Flesh of an organism
A Soul to link to
The heart of an Angel

The rings of 'check' rang out to each ingredient, as he knew he could portal any of them to his location, and he could link it to his soul in but a moment. He shortly reminisced about the very first stone he actually made, and how many ingredients it required! It needed almost everything under the sun, but it was only because of his ineptitude at alchemy at the time. His skills were on par enough to make a stone out of the bare essentials, which he knew by heart now. Except the last ingredient. That not only would take time, he would have to travel to the higher planes of heaven to do it. Even though the creatures known as 'angels' would be no match for him now, the time that would need to be invested in the endeavor was not equal to the time he had now. But, an idea struck him.

His own heart. It was the heart of an embodiment, perhaps it would suffice? He didn't know. The alchemic circle in front of him shown no signs of stopping whatsoever. At all. In fact...

Let's not imagine that possibility. The Embodiment quickly struck down, and opened two portals, all around him. Blood, and flesh immediately poured into the area in front of him. And instantaneously, another alchemic circle was formed under them, with Faote levitating each bit in place. The circle he formed for the stone, however...

It was just a blank circle. There had been no drawings, symbols, runes, anything. To any other alchemist, such a thing would have been laughed at.  But it was indeed fact; This was the very design used to create a philsopher's stone. The first time, and now for this time. The embodiment wasted no time at all; he reached in to his human mortal coil, and pulled out his chimeran heart that he had modified via alchemy for thousands of years. He no longer needed it. He was a force of existence, it was no longer these earthly organs that kept him alive.

He threw the heart into the circle, and, immediately, began to glow. The heart was valid. He placed his hand onto the circle, and closed his eyes, and allowed his memories to flow into it.

Eve.

It didn't work. His power fell short. He had moved on from alchemy, from the loss of his family, from everything. Of course he missed them, but... The energy was not enough to allocate to the circle to make it work. But that didn't stop him. The solution, in fact, laid right in front of him. She clearly had emotional power to spare. Perhaps he could siphon it?
But, that would mean the stone would be linked to her. A philosopher's stone would be out there, in the vast existence, without a way for him to stop it.

Let's give those bastards something to worry about. A final parting gift to the main part of the planes. I hope you all are prepared for a philosopher's stone to be thrown into your equations for domination of existence, you sick fucks. Was Faote's final thoughts on the subject. He was going to do it. Where this girl took this stone would be her business and her business alone. The alchemist created one last circle, one littered with lines connecting Freya's and Faote's bare circle. Upon creation, it too immediately lit up, and transferred some of the sheer power she had channeled into it. Of course, she didn't know how to make the stone, so while she was providing the fuel, Faote was to provide the brains. He placed his hands on the philsopher circle once more, and crafted the stone with his mind.

It was done in seconds. But, it wasn't crimson red like every philsopher stone before it, no.
It was Green. The new stone acted as an equilibrium, and provided all the energy needed for Freya's pendant circle, blocking out all of her channeled strength to make it properly. In front of her floated a pendant, and another foot away from that, a green philosopher's stone.

"This is my gift, to you."
