Round 2
« on: May 31, 2010, 04:31:15 PM »
Following the end of the final battle of Round 1, a referee appeared on the field.

"Ladies and gentlemen! That concludes round one of the fights! We will advance to the second fight of round two momentarily! Will the next two contestants, Nisorin and Abel, please advance to the fighting stage?"

Celestie waltzed right into the VIP section, staring right at Lucifer as she stepped before him. "I demand a rematch. The fight between myself and Hiren Dark, also known as Valor Korr, ended without a victor. Nisorin has agreed to allow my rematch to take place before his tournament match, but I have not gotten the opportunity to speak with Abel."

"Interesting request," mused Lucifer. "Very well. My referee is announcing it as we speak."

And at that moment, the change in plans was announced on the loudspeaker to everyone in the dome, resulting in mixed reaction from the crowd.

"Make it quick," Lucifer asked Celestie as Hiren appeared on the battlefield.

Appearing on the battle field this time clad in the traditional robes that Jeffrey himself would have worn had he been alive Valor had in his hands two new weapons that he had been spending a week making out of his own magical ability. “Alright Celestie. I shall fight honorably this time. But just in case any of you see fit to interfere!” At that he removed a pendant from his neck and threw it on the battle field creating a dome of blue light over the battle field which blocked teleportation spells along with blocking external spells that would come into the arena.

Holding out his palm out stretched he bowed and stated “My name is Valor Korr. I am a half blood of both StarClan and Reloria. I am a Shamai Relorian and I am also the one who is going to take Celestie and defeat her.” All his studying had not been for nothing as he had been training extensively to use the gentle fist technique which would allow him to target magical threads in her body and damage those thus causing her damage.

She bows slightly at the hip, staring straight at the man the entire time. "I am Celestie Lertis, Empress of Reloria and Guardian of her heritage. I pledge, to all here to bear witness, that I shall continue on to fight alongside the Lorriensar." She calls out, her voice powerful as she draws her sword and readies her shield. "Come then, Kuo, let us see what you can do when you don't have land mines to trip over."

"Very well Celestie. I won't be using the traps this time." He held out his hand glowing with energy and the floor began to change to gold and it was a void spell that Valor was using against Celestie.

She immediately teleports behind him, shield readied before her as she slashes at Hiren. "Korren Kirreth Drrea!" Celestie calls out as her sword cuts through the air, causing a sort of crescent-shaped wave to be emitted from the sword. As she'd teleported behind him, the void spell would be harmless to her without bringing Hiren himself into it as well.

Turning around quickly Valor noticed the wave of energy that was headed in his direction and decided he would retaliate against said wave of energy. Immediately an orb formed in his hand absorbing the wave of energy which he slammed into the ground causing a shockwave of void magic aided by her own power to be used against her. Now he added to that by unleashing mystical lightning he had learned to call forth and it was a Star Clan technique of great power that he was preparing to use. (1/5 charge)

He may have reacted appropriately to the wave of energy, but he neglected to do anything about her sword, which now cuts deep into his arm, severing muscle and weakening his grip in his hand. "You underestimate martial combat. You always did." She calls out to the man, teleporting back a few feet as she points the tip of her sword to the void. The redirected energy starts to cover the void up, creating a platform-like barrier atop it. "It's time to get serious, boy. You want to survive, you'd better start giving this fight everything you've got." She adds, her foot tapping to some unheard rhythm as her head begins to bob in time with her foot. She smiles, somewhere between sweetly, and cruelly as she turns on her toes, spinning to face Hiren's left as she stares at him, taking a deep breath as the hellfire barrier distorts once again, curving slightly towards her.

Seeing the wound on his body that Celestie had inflicted focusing on it for a few moments it instantly patched up allowing him full strength in his hands once more. “You know Celestie you should have looked closer at the seal I put around us to prevent intervention.” (2/5 charge) This was no trick but he was being honest with her. She had been stupid and would now pay the price for that stupidity and he formed a form-fitting barrier around himself in order to keep his own attack from harming him. Using the barrier as a foot ball player's outfit he attempted to tackle Celestie. The sides of the barrier were spiked however and would likely pierce her.

The barrier of Celestie's distorts, reaching up for Hiren's ankles with thousands of clawed hands. She slowly and almost lazily floats upwards a few feet, her eyes closing for a moment before opening wide, the Hellfire rippling like the surface of a calm pond. Her arms spread outwards as the hands unable to reach Hiren sprout arms, grabbing at his waist, hands and spikes as her voice, strong and clear as it echoes about the arena.

"Take heed, dear heart,
Once apart, she can touch nor me nor you."

Her singing causes more hands to burst out from the barrier, now numbering in the hundreds of thousands all reaching for a grasp on Hiren.

Teleporting behind Celestie and thus evading the grab attack along with the rest of the attack of the hands he focused and unleashed a seal at her barrier from behind, a seal that would eat the barrier.  He teleported to the side of her and fired mystical lightning and then teleported to the other side of her and unleashed a vortex of magical fire at her and then teleported in front of her but away from the hands (3/5) and made a dozen ice swords fly at her.

Evading the hands rather than destroying the barrier was a mistake, as  it gave the barrier enough time to begin siphoning off energy from  Hiren's void, using it to grow and counteract the seal. Quickly covering the entirety of the arena floor, the hands continue to swarm Mr. Dark, while those hands  unable to get in through the masses of other hands rose up to surround Celestie in a wall of woven barrier-array-arms. The arms grab on, first to the lightning. Holding it like a spear, they throw it back at its generator. The hands beside her stand resolute, curling around the fire as it hits. Those hands before her glow, the fingertips erupting in the captured flame, melting the ice swords as the next two lines echoes out from the barrier-array walls.

"Dressed as one,
The Half will betray the Whole"

Clouds begin to form just below the hellfire barrier, heedless of Hell's heat and dry atmosphere. Dark and ominous, the storm clouds let out a low rumble, shaking the arena. The clouds spread about the barrier, dimming the arena to a dark twilight, reducing Hiren's visibility.

"I will fight on no matter what. " At that blue light enveloped him and the hands faded out of existence as did the lightning that was coming at him while his fists glowed with golden light and gold once again began to become the floor but this was not a void spell. It was a dimensional rift spell that Valor had been working on for a very long time.  "You know Celestie, you are quite stupid. " At that Valor activated the spell he had been saving.  (4/5)

"Now you face the wrath of the Star Clan Rager!" His fist was glowing with red energy which wrapped out towards Celestie to envelop her.  At the same moment clones of him appeared all over the field and he vanished but really was behind the clones but due to their magical signature and everything being identical and the fact there were 50 clones, she wouldn't see him.

"And so the Traitor rises to defend his home. " (2/10)

((Good news Hawkeye. Things have happened tonight that have put me in a dangerously bad mood, so you'll have a very interesting and excruciatingly difficult match ahead of you. Do try to keep up, I wouldn't want this match to end too quickly.))

From the stands, Nisorin smiles at his wife as she sings. "Seems the man won't get any mercy this time around."

As the hands fade away, he sees that she herself is enveloped with the cherry-red barrier, shifting about her as she starts slowly revolving in the air. The clouds above darken from their storm-filled dark gray to an ominous, space black. The barrier turns clear, revealing Celestie standing tall, her hair curling slightly as it fans out behind her, stark black against the bright white dress. The clouds fall silent as she takes a second deep breath.
"An aura of mystery surrounds her,
the Lady in brightest white.
Soon the incarnate shall be born,
the Creator of the night."

The clouds open at the center of the arena's ceiling, revealing a bright silver moon, framed on all sides by pitch black clouds. The silver moonlight shines down upon Celestie, causing her to glow with a shapeless silver aura. As fifty clones wouldn't be near enough to block her vision of the entire arena, Celestie was still able to narrow it down. Turning to face him during the second line, she glares straight through the clone he is hiding behind. Pointing at the clone, her eyes glow slightly, matching her aura as the clouds pulse. The barrier shifts back into the cherry-red, difficult to see against Hiren's red energy as it, too pulses with the beat. Her hands open wide with the final word, in time with the final pulsing of her barrier as it suddenly pushes outwards, layer by layer to push away Hiren's attack and coat the arena walls, pushing at his clones in the process.

At the time he noticed the energy pushing at him and the fact the barrier had turned transparent along with many other facts Valor decided to go on the offensive and so dissipating all of his clones but turning them into liquid which ate into the floor and destroyed all the hands that existed there if any still remained Valor stood perfectly motionless.  “As we walk hand in hand the path of destiny will allow only one of us to continue Celestie.” At that her AAM medallion around her neck melted due to the immense heat of the hell arena amplified by StarClan magic but Valor had already formed a formfitting barrier around himself.

“Now together we divide the harmony into the purest chaos.” A small red beam of light formed around the barrier surrounding Valor and enveloped him completely obscuring him from view. 5 Warriors appeared on the battle field golems anyway and all of them ran at Celestie to attack her but in reality this was an illusion to distract her. Lightning arced off of the walls shot by Valor absorbing some of Celestie's magic along with that of the Hell Magic and coming not at her but at her barrier to hopefully destroy it completely.

Angel Star meanwhile approached Nisorin in the stands clad in robes of her own make and holding a staff in her hands. “Hello Nisorin. I remember how you are the one responsible for my demise. No matter I can still thrive for a long time.” At the same time an invisible pentragram underneath Valor activated boosting his physical strength and sending a sword that Jeffrey had wielded to him. It wasn't Angel doing this technique however but someone far superior to her in StarClan power.  ((5/5 activates next post))

“So Nisorin, if he wins this match he is no longer a Kuo?” asked Angel curiously as she watched Celestie and she saw the energy and then her smile turned into a scowl.  “He isn't supposed to be able to do that. Only his birth father could have taught him such a powerful technique but I knew his birth father personally and he was killed during the destruction of Dragon  Moon.”

"No, he will still be a Kuo. To remove that title, he would have to right his wrongs. He cannot return the planet to us, he cannot bring back those who died, nor can he change the memories or remove the pain you and your people caused. You betrayed us, and thus Kuo you shall remain. Now sit down, be quiet, and watch as he is properly punished for his deeds against Celestie." Nisorin answers, not even twitching at Angel's words and completely ignoring the last few sentences.

As the hands sprouting from the floor were already dealt with, melting the clones did nothing at all. And, as the AAM necklace was already within the same aura that kept Celestie herself cool, it did not melt. The moon gains a slight reddish tint, now casting a silvery pink light down upon Celestie as she gazed upon Hiren once more. She swings her arms out in front of her, as if reaching out to embrace him as her voice once again fills the arena.

"Lorriensar the one known only by her
To august realms, the sorcery within
If you hear the call of arcane lore,
Your world shall rest on Earth no more"

The clouds begin to shed their tears, freezing rain falling down upon the battlefield. The water forces the lightning to spread out and dissipate, turning into a harmless static charge that could not even kill a mouse. The single gem on her necklace begins to glow as the moonlight slowly turns more and more red, bathing the woman in a deep red light. Seeing the rain pass right through the clones, Celestie notices the illusion and ignores the harmless warriors, choosing instead to focus on her elaborate spellwork.

As she slowly did what Nisorin had commanded Angel came to the conclusions that she had to namely that they would remain Kuo until the Relorians gained their world back. Luckily for herself she remembered something that Jeffrey had told her of an ancient relic that could recreate a world completely but it could only be done once and then only by someone who could use StarClan abilities at his or her disposal and Nisorin and Celestie as strong as they were did not have the capability to use Star Clan powers.

Valor meanwhile in the arena evaded the water by levitating into the air and gathering in all the energy that he possibly could from the surroundings and said to the referee “Do you mind if I change the battle field to fit the next attack I am going to perform?” Holding out a small 4 sided star he said to Celestie “Let us fight where I choose now. You have  had your choice on this battle field but my choice is somewhere where well you will find out for yourself.” At that a strange rainbow colored light enveloped the entire arena and some of the people watching from the stands wrapping them into a pocket dimension where there was this ancient arena.

“Here is where we fight for our lives.  If you win this Celestie though I don't know why I will do this, I will tell you how you can get your old world back.” At that he gathered red flames in his fists and punched the ground sending a fire tower towards Celestie and at the same time fired energy beams from his eyes at Celestie in order to knock her out.

At the same time Angel said to Nisorin “You see Nisorin the way to revive your planet is within my memories. I will allow you to use it if you at the same time destroy every magical artifact on Stariana. Since you can't lift the Kuo status then there must be no traces of the Star Clan for anyone to find and call themselves like I was. I am the last besides Valor and the unnamed hordes at his disposal. I only hope that he survives the fight against Celestie.”

Valor at the moment the fire tower had been launched also made a staff fly over to his hands and his robes changed to that of his relorian sphere and then he swung the staff through the air sending a shockwave of magic at Celestie. Teleporting in front of her he swung it again sending another shockwave after he had formed a protective barrier around himself and even if she blocked the shockwave, the staff was bladed.

"And so the half rises to defeat the one who doomed half of his bloodline to extinction. "  said Valor.  At that golden fists appeared in the sky (3/5)

Nisorin shakes his head, sighing as he watches the unfolding battle. "You do not understand. Even if you could bring back the planet, it would not be the same. The plants would not be there, the animals, buildings. The people, the memories. All of it would be gone. Do not suggest such an act again. And he will not survive." He explains, his eyes ever trained on Celestie.

Finally bursting into movement, Celestie knocks one shockwave to the side with her shield, conjuring a second to block the other. The clouds return, their 40 degree rain quickly cooling the flame tower as lightning strikes the battlefield. Finally revealing this part of her spell, Valor and the ground beneath him all glow a soft blue, the telltale warning of the striking point of a particularly powerful bolt. As she twists her body to the side, the energy beams arc harmlessly above her shoulder, her voice once again echoing about the arena.

"Lead astray the gazers
The razors on your seducing skin
In the meadow of sinful thoughts
Every flower is a perfect one"

The ground erupts in billions of tiny cracks, purple-petaled flowers growing from them, nourished by the rainfall and the bright silver moonlight. The soft petals shine as if coated with the dew of an impending morning, swaying softly despite the absence of a wind.

Valor saw the ground turning blue and tensed up. This was an ill portent to him that warned him something bad was about to occur. Well now he would have to deal  with the problem at hand namely the lightning. Moving off of the glowing blue area he concentrated hard and made a golden crystal appear in the top of the field hovering between them both. “With this, I gift you the power of the StarClan's magic.” At that red light enveloped Valor “Titan's Might!” He was much faster and stronger than he had been far superior to Celestie physically speaking and the magical aura generated by the crystal would protect him from her attacks that involved any magic of any variety.  Time to deal with the barrier that was around Celestie and so he gestured and towers of earth rose out of the ground forming into a catapult.  Jumping into it he yelled “Fire!” He was then launched and landed behind Celestie.   Then a strange thing occurred as circles that were colored formed around his hands. Lightning came out of the circles in the form of blue energy a type of Star Clan magic that Celestie did not know how to counter as barriers of any variety would only strengthen said attack. “Destiny Power!” (Time to end this) At the same time golems rose out of the ground and punched at the barrier around Celestie.
His aura changed to that of a Shamai Relorian “I summon the ancient attack oblivion!” A hole opened in the field and out of it came millions of skeletal hands which tried to grab Celestie.

Striking at the ground simultaneously, hundreds lightning bolts thundered down from many different clouds, converging on that one point mere millimeters above the ground. Because he tensed before moving, rather than keeping his muscles relaxed, his reaction time inevitably slowed by him taking more time to move. Due to this, one of the bolts was able to arc through him, taking the shortest and easiest route to the ground. As his body is roughly 70% water, and water is quite a good deal more electrically conductive than air, the bolt's choice would be an easy one. The bolt hit him in the shoulder as he concentrated, burning his flesh and forcing his muscles all over his body to spasm powerfully, the lightning bolt having a great deal more electricity than the nerves controlling his muscles. Almost as quickly as it had started, it ended, the lightning and its electricity passing into the ground through Valor's feet. Due to the spasms and the inevitable bodily shock, pardon the pun, his concentration would be inevitably broken, his crystal spell failing.

With the crystal's failure, Celestie shakes her head and charges at the Kuo a second time, shield at the ready and sword leading the way.

"You bastards tainted our souls,
Raped our trust
Played us for fools!"

Half of the monitors back in the Hell proper turn to static, now showing a blue orb against a purple backdrop, glowing slightly. With her last lyric, it splits open, a decent-sized gash opening in the side from which a large amount of light flows through quite quickly. Back in the new arena, Celestie disappears prior to the completement of Hiren's catapult. As her magic signature is already all around the arena via the rain, tracking her through that method would prove rather useless. A second time, her voice echoes about the arena.

"Gather your precious glitter and leave us be,
The Fallen are all dead, as you shall rejoin!"

Hiren's body and the ground beneath him once again glows the soft blue, the clouds rumbling angrily as the rain begins to freeze, forming small hailstones as they fall.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

The shock however when it hit Valor's body caused something deep within Valor to awaken even though it shattered his concentration. Seeing Celestie coming at him along with hail and other items he cast yet another healing spell on himself stopping the spasms.

Since Celestie had ignored the skeletal hands that had risen out of the ground her legs were now grabbed by the hands preventing her movement any further towards him.

He walked towards her calmly taking out his own sword and said to her as relaxed as he could. "You know Celestie, it is the surroundings that kill. Leecher!" At that the skeletal hands began to glow purple. (1/3, on 3rd post she will be drained of energy)

Because it was the presence of the massive amount of electricity that started the spasms, they had already ended by the time he'd started casting the healing spell, causing him to only waste time and energy while leaving the muscles painfully tense and quite sore. And, as Celestie had disappeared while she was moving, the hands had nothing to grab onto but empty air. Her laughter, cold and cruel, fills the arena as the hailstones get larger.
"Grand oasis in the vastness of gloom,
Chill of dew-spangled cobweb, Mother to the Moon.
Constellations, beholders of the 3rd Vagrant."

The hail on the ground begins to melt, forming a pool in the center, drowning the skeletal hands as the flowers grow taller, some weaving together to form large, alien-looking trees. The clouds depart, revealing an unfamiliar, deep-blue sky dotted with millions of stars, all forming a myriad of constellations. Shining their bright silver, the stars and moon light up the arena, casting it in a mysterious, pale silver. The air is filled with millions of golden fireflies, flying about their business as the arena cools, air temperature now 38 degrees F, as cold as a desert night.

However Celestie was ignoring one thing and that was the fact that nothing was attacking Valor for the moment and so he too began to chant. “In a stormy and calm night let the light fill this arena with heat and burn all of my enemies from their head to their feet!” At that a golden sun crystal appeared near both of them hovering between them and shooting out fierce waves of heat causing the tempature to rise. The sky began to change to that of an afternoon one.  “And droids will rise from factories to attack my enemy.”

A factory appeared and out of it came 1000 war drones all unleashing laser blasts at Celestie but this was an illusion fueled by belief. If she believed that the lasers were real they would be real to her and cause the equivalent amount of damage. Since her barrier had been dissolved by one of his attacks he moved his foot making a shield of earth around himself to protect him and at the same time causing crystal towers to head towards Celestie herself. “And so the Earth rises to defend he of shamai who protects it.” said Valor.

(Game over on my next post. )
At that statues from the temple that had appeared came to life and grabbed stone weaponry and marched onto the battle field. “Objective : Destroy Relorian Pure Blood.”

They all released different elemental attacks at Celestie once they were close enough along with slashing or hacking at her or stabbing at her with her weaponry. There was no human way possible that she could block or dodge all of these attacks.

“And  now a bit of mercy. Obscura!”  Dark Mist formed around obscuring the arena from everyone's view. It also blocked the mind link that Nisorin and Celestie shared as long as it existed.

((This is where it will start to get difficult, Hawkeye. I suggest you take extra time while writing your future post in this topic.))

As Celestie's still not visible, each and every one of Valor's attacks prove to be completely and utterly useless, attacking thin air. The monitors show a second  The stars glow ever brighter, their light quickly blinding everything on the field. As it fades, the chinks of metallic armor and bell-like ringing of moving crystalline robes echoes through the near-silent arena. Once the light's receded enough for those still fighting to see, five hundred warriors armed with various different weapons, garbed in ancient Relorian ceremonial armors of varying spheres standing in a ring around the arena, weapons at the ready. They look to be made of night sky, all glowing the silver of moonlight.
"Oracle of the Loriensar Domeira,"

They sing together with Celestie, absorbing the mist even as the Shamai commune with the planet, taking collective control over the crystal towers. Raising high into the air, the towers shift colors, settling on the familiar gold of Curicite.
"Witness of Jeffrey's Frailty!"
The silver moonlight refracts within the towers, breaking Valor's vision and creating an optical illusion, the light spreading about strangely, turning up into left, down into up, right into down, and left into right. With anyone not used to such tricks of light, it would quickly, if not immediately, cause disorientation and confusion, and soon, nausea and the loss of balance.
"Seeress of the Master Prophecy,"
Celestie herself reappears, hovering once more in the center of the semicircle-shaped arena, globes of molten silver in her hands as she gazes down upon Valor. Her face calm and peaceful, she allows the liquidized silver energy to fall between her fingers, forming 8 small silverfalls, seemingly endless.

"The stellar world her betrothed."

The 500 Ancient Relorian Elites brace their weapons, starting a measured charge led by thousands of concussive blasts of a bluish silver energy. Those wielding bows and guns remain at the rear, firing away at the mechanical creations, dropping bolts of lightning between shots.
