With the start of Round 2 to begin, so rose a cry of fire which swept across the tournament as Nisorin and Abel were called to the arena.

Well rested and with his equipment polished back up, Nisorin walks into the arena rather calmly. His swords sheathed at his hips, he walks to the opposite end of the arena, turns on his heels, and stands straight, waiting for his opponent.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Abel being the eccentric man he was didn't into the arena, he more of fell out of the stands and into the cold hard floor that looked battle-worn and older then it should. Standing to his feet and throwing his hands into the air like a silent "Tada." The de-facto leader of the Archive smiled as he appeared next to the referee before poking him in the forehead with his normal hand, it seemed that he was in a good mood.

"Aaaannnnd fight!" Abel yelled suddenly as he shot a bolt of lightning from his skeletal hand, it was of frightening voltage, enough that if he had used it with his normal hand it would've led to a dangerous blow-back of energy and electrified him him a little. It was a simple start, but Abel had some things planned.

With a scowl at Abel's lack of decorum, Nisorin generates a powerfully insulative barrier between his hand, and the hilt of his sword Lorenya, the barrier extending around his gauntlet and down his forearm. Using the arts of the Sierrensa to dramatically increase his speed far beyond normal limits, he draws the sword, using the blade as a lightning rod. The electricity is naturally drawn to its conductive metal as its stored in the sword. Once the entirety of the bolt was stored, Nisorin takes a step backwards, turning on his toes as he does. He darts a step forward halfway through the turn, stabbing straight with Lorenya, sending the powerful bolt back at Abel, while leaving Lorenya quite hot to the touch. The entire movement, with the aid of the Sierrensa techniques, takes a little over half a second.

Rather than let the blade cool, he performs a second, this time full, spin-step back at normal speed, releasing the built up heat as a crescent-shaped projectile, following in the lightning bolt's wake.

"No manners whatsoever I see."

Abel kept smiling as his own attack was sent back at him, he had been waiting for either for a barrier or a redirection.  And a redirection was infact better for him. As the lightning bolt shot towards him Abel decied that he would do something he learned by watching Koty and Faote's fight, opening a portal infront of him while three appeared near Nisorin, one above him, one to his right, and one to his left. The lightning bolt shot into the portal and one came out of the other portals, but as the heat wave neared him Abel defended himself by lowering the ambient temperature around him far below zero. Meaning it dissipated when it hit the coldness around him.

Taking a 'page from his opponent's book' as it were, Nisorin opens his own portal before the bolt before teleporting behind the three portals Abel made. Nisorin's portal's destination opens up behind Abel, the lightning dispersing in the much colder, and thus not as conductive, air. Unfortunately for Abel, the cold ended up working against him as Nisorin further chilled the atmosphere around him, quickly reaching 60 below, cold enough to freeze the liquids coating one's unprotected eyes. Drawing Aria, he watches Abel closely as he draws a curving, elaborate design into the air, golden lines emitting from the blade's tip as if it were a paintbrush. "Apparently not. I shouldn't have expected etiquette from the leader of the empire that destroyed our second home with no good reason."

Despite the fact that the air was cold enough to freeze his eyeballs solid, Abel seemed alright. He had upped his body's resistance to the freezing cold with a rather simple spell. "Sadly I'm not dumb enough to engage a Relorian in armed combat." Abel informed as a rather single-way powerful barrier began to coat Abel's body, like a flexible armor. Meaning things could go out, but nothing could come in. Similar to a ship's shielding. Raising his skeletal hand once again the space in-front of him began to distort and crack, within moments a small baseball sized orb appeared.

"You guys hold a grudge like an ex-wife." Abel muttered as the orb shot off, it was in-fact a spherical portal that had been given momentum, no barrier of magic or matter would be able to stop it. Only one thing could actually stop it.

Muttering a quiet word, a portal easily the size of Nisorin forms between him and the orb, the exit off to Abel's right. Without any additional momentum, it'll fly right through Nisorin's portal and get turned against it's caster. "Normally we forgive easily, but you are a special exception. All others at least had some sort of rational reasoning for their choice of actions. You however, destroyed a planet just to find someone. There's far better ways to go about luring someone out than destroying an entire planet with overwhelming force." He replies, already circling Abel and drawing various runes and circles into the air with the tip of Aria.

Celestie, her attention even more focused on this fight than she was his fight against Fiske, didn't even have the available attention span to sip her soda, let alone notice Animas sitting down behind her once more. The Embodiment watches the battle with the eyes of one looking for an opening. And so it begins. Will he finally realize the truth of their 'curse?'

"Now now, Mr. Nisorin, I was in Hell when that happened, wasn't my order." Abel replied as the orb expanded to be larger then the portal, engulfing it before changing course to come at the Relorian from the side, devouring the runes he was drawing in the air at the same time. And he wasn't done there, raising his hand into the air the arena changed into a massive forest, with trees as tall as skyscrapers. The audience was gone as was the heat of Hell, Nisorin was alone. The only thing that followed through into this change of scenery was the black orb, barreling through the trees and towards Nisorin, nothing in it's path stood a chance.

He eyes the orb, scowling as his mind races. Sketching out a single   glyph, he attaches it to the back of his right hand. Once it's complete,   the portal-sphere suddenly meets resistance, the ward taking effect and   repelling the orb even as Nisorin starts scanning the area for Abel.   "And now you hide behind your forest. Have you not the courage to face   your foe head on?" He calls out, the fingers on his other hand drawing a   small, but complex circle of runes. "And do you really expect me to believe you're not keeping in contact with your subordinates? I'm afraid I'm not that stupid, or naive."

Watching him from the stands, Celestie's eyes narrow slightly as she eyes the portal-sphere. Trying to swallow it with another portal will just make Abel enlarge it again. Most any other attacks will simply pass right into it.

Fine then. He wants to rip open spacetime, I'll sew it back shut. He muses, putting a bit more power into the ward as his drawing hand finishes. Threads of a strange energy form from his fingertips, stabbing through the portal and, quite literally, suturing it shut as it it was a wound. Which, in a way of thinking, it technically is.

Despite how hard Nisorin would scan, he'd never find Abel, the forest was hiding his presence with it's own special nature. As for the orb, it was resisting both the ward and the suturing, it seemed that an equal force was keeping it open, and it was in fact just keeping Nisorin busy. A very deadly decoy, but it was a portal all in all, and sometimes things come out of portals, and sometimes those things are very, very deadly. Which was what happened next, another smaller orb came out, with another orb coming out of that one, with a smaller one coming out of that one until it was the size of a watermelon, and only then did Abel's skeletal arm shoot out like a viper, grasping for Nisorin's throat with vicious looking claws, which expanded as it got closer, even if Abel's hand missed Nisorin would be ripped to shreds by the various portals.

With a sound similar to a cough, Nisorin lobs a glowing green ball into Abel's outstretched hand before teleporting 200 yards to the side. Promptly teleporting another 100 yards perpendicular to the portal's path, he scowls as he takes a mental note of the rather annoying effect the forest has on one's magic sense. "Hiding amongst the trees, striking from the shadows like a coward. Truly the Archive has no honor." He calls out, taking a calming breath as he sheathes Aria. "But, if that is how you want to play, Abel, then I shall show you what happens when the very land you live upon becomes your foe." He continues, raising one hand to the sky as his other arm seems to lengthen, allowing his remaining hand to lay, palm flat, against the forest floor.

"Tithrenia, iorae noch kierrenai. Moriae, iorae noch Noriensar."

His words echo about the forest like birdsong as the rest of the area quiets to silence. Aria and Lorenya unsheath themselves, twirling around him in an elegant dance as tendrils of stone and root rise slowly from the ground. With an elegant flourish of his arms, he brings his hands together, cupped before his chest.

But as the tendrils appeared they began to wrap around Nisorin's very arms, and even more appeared to wrap themselves around his legs, soon hundreds began to shoot from and ground and try to immobilize the man. Within moments the many black orbs moved silently but quickly through the air and the forest towards the Relorian emperor, the one that formerly had Abel's arm sticking from it was now just like the others, and the arm was gone.

Sometimes honor isn't all it's cracked up to be. Abel's voice came from the forest itself, the trees, the grass, the very air.

As the orbs got closer each one revealed a Abel's arm sticking out from it, each one had been morphed into a vicious elongated claw, and all were aiming for Nisorin.

Back in the stands, sitting behind the Relorian's wife, Animas' face slowly breaks into a smile. "And so it begins. It'll be interesting to see how the Archive man deals with this." She says to herself, leaning closer to Celestie as they watch the fight in the forest illusion.

He smiles and shakes his head, disagreeing even as his lips mouth silently. As suddenly as they'd grabbed on, there was nothing to grab onto as a hail of hundreds of thousands of purple flower petals gets carried off in a gust of wind, scattering about the woods and arena as the swords cut through the vines, seemingly at a loss of where to go. They decide to split up, Aria going east while Lorenya goes west. As the swords are no longer connected to Nisorin's senses, they are no longer under the effect of the illusion. They are now able to independently seek out Abel in the Arena, and charge in to attack, Aria with a horizontal slash at his ankles, Lorenya a diagonal, down-left slash for his chest.

The petals seem to sink into the arena floor, blending into the forest's ground. As nowhere near all the petals are real, destroying them will most likely not kill, or even harm, Nisorin, though they all bear his magical signature, seemingly evenly divided between each petal.

Yet even though Nisorin had discovered the illusion, he couldn't truly discover what was an illusion, and what was not. The most of the orbs were an illusion, but one was not, and Nisorin had done nothing to counteract it as Abel's hand gripped his throat, within a second the Emperor's spirit and soul were ripped from his body, along with each and every spirit and soul of his parallel counterparts. The two blades would meet the barrier Abel had spread along himself earlier that fight, and would harmless bounce off, and the petals were of no concern. As their master was killed they clattered to the ground, and the illusion dispersed, revealing Abel with his hand in a small black orb with another in-front of Nisorin, holding the lifeless husk.

"Sorry." Abel muttered as he dropped the body and pulled his hand from the orb, the portal vanishing.

Unfortunately, the mouthed words were a three-part incantation. One forming Nisorin's actual body into one of the flower petals, the second causing the gust of wind, both in the illusion and in Hell, and the third forming the illusory body Abel had grabbed. The portal-spheres no more, the illusion gone, the petals swarm back in on a point on the opposite side of the arena. The real petal reforms itself back into Nisorin, smiling at Abel as his swords teleport back to his hands. "My my, I'm surprised one such as you wouldn't expect me taking a 'page out of your own book,' as the saying goes." He says, shaking a bit of dust from the arena floor off his gauntlet. "Now that I've seen your illusion, it'll be a good amount easier for me to combat it. Now, le-"

A sharp scream echoes about the arena as Animas whispers a two-part incantation into Celestie's ear, the first creating a barrier to deflect Celestie's reflexive lightning bolt into the Hellfire barrier, causing it to bounce harmlessly towards the ceiling, while the second teleports them both away. Moments later, Nisorin's mental link with his wife completely shuts down, as if severed. This effectively, and accurately in the case of the Emperor, makes him believe her to be dead.

With a second flurry of petals, this time reaching throughout the entire arena, the monitors show the barrier-sphere-like orb completely shatter, flooding the screen with so much light it begins to overload, the picture flickering in it's inability to handle all the light. A thunderous roar echoes about the arena as the petals clear enough for the two to see. Nisorin, still standing across from Abel, stares straight at the slightly-madman. His blue armor distorts, the color shifting to a dark violet as his blades sheath themselves. Fists curled tight by his sides, a translucent, 13-pointed star in the same color as his armor forms in his pupils. Without a single word, he raises his hands above his head, thirteen orbs of black, orange and pink gradiating colors in each orb form behind his back in a semicircle. As he drops his hands quickly back to his sides, the orbs burst forwards violently, arcing through the air and straight for Abel's chest, a single, varying rune glowing softly within each orb.

"Hook." Abel muttered as he raised his skeletal hand, the orbs seemed to be absorbed straight into them, despite what Nisorin may beleive about himself Abel had understood what had been going on the entire time. He was using an illusion to filter what Nisorin saw, changing things here and there to make it seem like he was in a forest. He was also close enough to read Nisorin's lips as he mumbled the incantation, and although he seemed to be tricked when he grabbed onto Nisorin's neck. He wasn't, he knew he hadn't touched anything, as his arm didn't absorb anything. Truly Nisorin wasn't even out of the illusion, Abel had just toned it down a little.

He was playing on the Relorian's ignorance about his arm, he was underground and moving towards as they spoke, but what Nisorin would see was Abel absorbing the orbs and moving into the air, before throwing down bolts of teal energy. "What a pathetic man you are, here I am just playing with you, no wonder she thinks you're weak.. I might just pay her a visit after I kill you, find out how a empress tastes!" That was just a sample of the vulgar things coming from the illusionary Abel's mouth,  even if the bolts of energy hit him they wouldn't cause damage physically, but they would make Nisorin feel as though he had been hurt, if he was cut he would see his own blood, even if it wasn't there. Unlike Nisorin who used optical or mirage type illusions, Abel was using a far more complex type of illusionary magic, he was modifying Nisorin's perspective of the world around him.

Hearing Abel's words, Nisorin outright cracks. His eyes widen as far as they can, and his entire body pulses in time with his quickening heartbeat. With the first pulse, a powerful, bomb-like burst of purple energy exploded out from his body. With the second pulse, a second, harmless wave spreads about the entirety of the arena, even the stands. Through it, via a form of bone-conduction that uses the skin and barriers rather than the listener's bone to convey sound, four lines of a poem, spoken in a monotone variant of Nisorin's voice sound. To those not used to bone-conduction, it'd sound like telepathy, though it's not.

"The beast to the beast is callling,
and the mind bends down to wait.
Like the enraged lord of the jungle,
The man calls to his mate."

The third pulse emits a powerful, sturdy barrier-sphere that pushes away at the ground beneath Nisorin's feet. A fourth and fifth pulse push the barrier-sphere farther and farther, compressing the ground it touches. He roars a second time, his voice now actually understandable as he flings his arms out wide, firing highly-compressed concussive bolts from the outer wall of the barrier like a 360 degree minigun. "Bye bye beautiful!"

"Line, and sinker." Abel muttered as he beefed up his barrier, the relentless attacks smashing against them but sadly not being able to penetrate it. It did a large amount of damage sure, and the surrounding area was nearly destroyed, what happened next was just a tragedy. The moment Nisorin stopped spinning and the dust cleared there lay Celestie on the ground, a massive hole in here chest were one of Nisorin's very own attacks killed her. "Good going idiot..she came back to help you! And you killed her! Ahahahaha!" Illusion!Abel mocked from his area in the sky, his arm had morphed into what appeared to be a massive bone-shield. His arm couldn't morph that far in real-life, but Nisorin had no idea that it couldn't.

Real!Abel was currently under Nisorin feeding energy into his barrier to repair it, the current way he was fighting Nisorin wasn't his normal style.. But then again, he felt like doing something new today. He was making sure that he was undetectable inside Nisorin's own mind. Abel was even accessing Nisorin's own memories to make the Celestie illusion more convincing, her smell, her eyes, her everything was perfect.

As Abel's connection with Nisorin bypassed barriers, his own barrier couldn't protect him from the massive backlash of power that shot into his own mind through the very connection he was using as a weapon. It'd be like lightning hitting a power cable. That same backlash quickened the end of the burst, allowing Nisorin to begin regaining his composure a good deal faster than he normally would have been able to. "If it was my attack, she would have known about it from the moment I decided to use it. Our bond, we shared thoughts, feelings, everything." He responds, looking around. "Another illusion, it must be. She knows what her death would do to me, and she would not kill herself because of it." He adds, smiling up at Illusion!Abel. "So incredibly realistic, however. You haven't seen her enough to get it that accurate. How intriguing. I haven't encountered a kind of illusion like this before. This isn't just bending light, is it?" He asks, creating another pulse to push the barrier-sphere further and fire off a second volley of bolts. "Fine then. I'll just have to not trust anything I see, now won't I? Shouldn't be that hard."

"I could teach you sometime!" Abel exclaimed as he coated his skeletal arm in a sheath of black fire, as he did this dozens of Illusion!Abel's appeared, getting lost in the crowd seemed a good idea. A few moments later the many Abel's rapidly began to switch position, faster then the human eye could follow. "Maybe after this is all over, optical illusions are just the basics." They all explained as the second valley hit his barrier, it held..for now. He seemed relatively unaffected by the backlash of energy, this was due to his mind being far stronger then that of any normal person. Instead of a wire being hit by a lightning bolt, it was more along the lines of a mountain getting hit by a lightning bolt.

"Sorry for all the illusions, I was hoping I could render you either insane or just incapable of fighting.. I'd rather not kill you, but now I see I don't have much of a choice." The Abels explained as he charged the sphere, firing a large portal blast that left a momentary hole in the barrier, slipping through this he moved towards emperor. Nisorin would have a very hard time knowing who was the real Abel, as every Abel appeared to do the same thing.

"Didn't want to kill me? My my, that certainly seems like what you were trying to do." He replies, quickly firing a third volley of bolts in an attempt capitalize on the hole that may-or-may-not be there, before teleporting, barrier-sphere and all, to behind the Abels, followed by a great deal more teleportations to random spots inside a half-sphere behind the illusions. "And I'm already learning. In order to have made the Celestie illusion as well as you did, you'd need access to either my own memories, or those of Animas. And I highly doubt Animas would do anything to endanger the mental health of someone she needs so much!" He adds, smiling as he fires off a new volley. Spears with specifically shaped heads designed to punch through things like armor, and barriers, and programmed to automatically, completely independant of Nisorin's senses, seek out barriers and attempt to destroy them.

But instead of seeking out the real Abel they turned and smashed into Nisorin's own barrier, damaging quite heavily, as that occurred the many Abel's began to fire off ranged attacks, somewhere black fire, lightning, attacks designed to penetrate barriers similar to the one Nisorin just used. They weren't causing any damage, but they'd fool Nisorin's mind into thinking that the barrier is being damaged. And that would lead to him subconsciously weakening the barrier, he was literally being attacked by illusions. The real Abel however was high in the air, waiting for his chance.

He places one hand flat against the inside of his barrier, forcing it to strengthen back up to the point it was at when it was first made, even as the bolts hit it, counteracting the regeneration. With a second volley, this time spelled to ignore the existence of his own barrier. "I see you don't feel up to replying to me. Fine." He calls out, closing his eyes as he once again begins to chant.

"Lorrien, norres terathe noch diorense."

Through his mental connection with the Emperor, Abel'd now be able to hear quiet rustling, like something moving through ferns. A small smile spreads across Nisorin's face as he raises his other hand, gathering up energy from the Weave to concentrate on his fingertips. "The Sierrensa, a quite new order that even you would not know of yet, has a very interesting trick. I wonder if you've seen it before?"
