The Novierians, clearly being annoyed at the continued attacks that proved little to no difficulty of them repelling, finally noted that the black residue was actually something that might have done some sort of damage. Unfortunately for whoever was attacking, the race had more than levitation powers. Various Novierians began to test various attacks on the residue, such as fire, freezing, energy disintegration, the works. It would eventually be known that freezing the substance made it cohesive to surrounding particles. And then the Novierians did the task they seemed to be so experienced at due to the events of today. Launch the frozen groups of the substance.
But of course, the entire atmosphere seemed to be filled with the stuff, and it, once again, turned into a worldwide effort to remove the foreign particles from their atmosphere. As for the buildings and objects that were already stained, many, if not all Novierians were happy to be rid of the afflicted objects or buildings, and launched them as well to replace them with much more updated and better building's/objects. After the entire madness was over, the race began to look into much better ways of adding defenses into their planet. Of course their tasks for defending the planet that day weren't all that difficult, so rather than developing things to save them, they were more developing them to make defending their planet less of a bother for them so they could get back to sparring.
