Crashing into Pedalo
« on: July 13, 2010, 05:03:46 PM »
Before they had been launched they had cast an oxygen independency spell on themselves so that they could stay alive at least long enough to reach their desired destination.

The Warrior Humans were running out of energy as was Arceis. He simply could not keep the palace from crashing any longer, as that took way too much of his energy. He could however control where it crashed and since he owed Zane a favor he decided to squash Pedalo the biggest threat to Elemora at the moment with the palace.

“I can't hold this thing forever you know. We need to move it towards the nearest planet and land it. Some of us will work on preventing it from burning up in the atmosphere while the rest focus on slowing it down somewhat.” said Arceis to the Warrior Humans.

Several dozen of the warrior humans in the palace divided into squads working on keeping the people on board alive, slowing down the ship and providing a force field to lessen the force of the crash so it wouldn't do nearly as much damage.

Pedalo unfortunately could not see the palace coming and was going for a very leisurely stroll, one of the activities he enjoyed the most when all of the sudden the palace crashed on top of him killing him the moment it crashed.

Coming out of the place once it landed Arceis surveyed the land around. It would be good for farming and for mining along with many other things that would allow the Warrior Humans to thrive for a time here.

A bunch of Dark Elementals saw the palace, and went around to investigate. "...What...The...Larz? Who'er you, and what do you think you're doing!?" One of them asked, obviously the more powerful(or just confident) of the group.

"Crashing for starters. Damn  Anrufe launched us into space but we survived unfortunately though we may have killed someone of yours." said Arceis calmly. He was not scared of this elemental and pointing his hand at Pedalo teleported the dead body out in front of the dark elementals. "He one of yours? If so I am sorry but he was in the wrong place at the wrong time."

They looked at each other, then back at the guy. "Uhhh...Does he LOOK like us? We have much darker skin, and wings...And ayway, we dont know who the Anrufe are. If that is all, then would you kindly remove your...Castle...From our land?"

"We will need a few days to regain our strength. Using magic to keep it from crashing harder into your planet has left us drained." said Arceis. He knew he was in no condition to launch the thing again at this moment in time nor could he sustain the oxygen independance spell either so he would have to wait. Most of the Warrior Humans were exhausted anyway. "We could move it to the forest or something for the time being I guess."

They looked at each other yet again. "...Um...We have magic, you know...And, er, we'd like our land. So whatever you'd need to be able to leave, we might be able to help with. Maybe we could recharge your magic, if it means you'll be able to leave sooner."

“We would also need a way to make this building produce oxygen so we don't have to sap our magic again by producing an oxygen independency spell while on board it.” said Arceis. He knew that any lack of magic would eventually result in their own demise.

“We could though accept your recharge of our magic, but even then some of us are physically exhausted from all of that magic use and so it would take time to recover, at least 3 days. Preparing the place for a proper launch would be best and it would require more supplies than we currently have with us. A lot more supplies in fact including some rockets and a hyperdrive.” added another Warrior Human.

"Um...Whats a rocket? And what do you mean by launch? You tech-crafts have so many weird words. If you need air, then we'll give you some plants. If you need food, we'll give you some livestock. And if it'll help you leave, we'll ask the Elemental Earth and Air to give the castle its own atmosphere and we'll give it the ability to resist gravity, so that it can leave our planet."

Tired of babbling Darks Arceis walked over to the one doing the most of the talking and put his hand on the man's head transmitting memories of what Kia B had done to the Star Clan Palace. "That is what launching is." He said after he had backed away a safe distance from the dark. "And yes, any help would be useful. The sooner we are gone the better anyway. Some live stock and an atmosphere would be of help as would this thing resisting gravity."

"Now we are going to need cases to load all the artifacts that we have found in here, all of those magical relics that we learned are on board this thing. Once we have them secured in one room that gives us more room in the Palace."

They resisted his attempt to share memories. "We dont really care...And no. You shall have plenty of time to sort your own things. We want you off our land. You get what you get, nothing more. Anything else will need to be purchased from our people."

He looked around. "It will take a day to meet up with, and arrange for, the Elemental Earth and Air to help. You shall not be permitted to leave your castle until then."

Entering the Palace yet again Arceis wove a barrier once all the warrior humans that had came with him were inside. Rather than prevent entry, it would incinerate them if they attempted to exit.  Sighing and knowing he shouldn't use magic so soon after he had barely regained enough power to create a barrier he held out his hand and the air shimmered. One hundred crates and chests materialized. However the barrier was Opaque so it could not be seen through.

“Get to work.” He ordered the Warrior Humans onboard the ship. “And ready a variation of their gate to be set up here. Yes. Do it all now.”

24 hours later...
The Earths and Winds had decided to aid the Darks with their problem, and 20 FT around the barrier crafted by whats-his-face they'd crafted a atmosphere, while the castle and a chunk of ground underneath it was lifted up with Earth Magic. Within this atmosphere was also the plants and livestock, prevented from leaving but ready to be taken in. A anti-gravity spell was weaved by the Dark, which fluctuated the gravity around this hovering chunk of land, allowing it its own normal gravity but allowing it to resist that of other celetial bodies. A bit of herbs were left among the plants and livestock, with a note attached:
"These should help you regain your magic. You'll need it to stop your castle's momentum once its far enough."

And with that, the Earth flung the castle-and its contents, including the chunk of land-far, far away from Elmora, waaaaaay outside its solar system even.
"...Do you think they survived? I mean...That was kinda fast..."
"Eh...Who cares. They're gone. Lets go eat some Gavened Eltra."
"Now there's a idea!"

The Warrior Humans on board had indeed survived thanks to compensating by creating barriers around themselves. Eating some of the herbs they began to make plans that would allow them to do more than survive. They would thrive where the Palace was next to land.

Of course they were not stupid by any means. Joining up with the Aralangs or Relorians or Lorei would likely be the only way they could survive the full brunt of the Anrufe's assault.  There was one other empire likely that they could trust namely the Japae.
