Round 2, Match 2: Akylos vs Rogue
« on: July 17, 2010, 11:02:49 PM »
After quite a bit of time of repairing the tournament floor and awaiting the next contestants for the tournament, Lucifer decided to skip the tournament... Or at least, he would have. But upon thinking about it, he deeply regretted not being able to see a fight between Hikaru and Vincent. One of the Sage 3 against a necromancer. It'd be something to see for sure, so he decided to allow for their fight at the end of Round 2.

This meant that Match 2 of Round 2 was between Akylos and Rogue. Both were called to the fighting floor. In a golden explosion, Akylos appeared on the floor of the arena, ready for battle. Of course, he had no idea what the hell he was getting himself into fighting Rogue. Still, he'd try his best.

Rogue however was quite busy eating an icecream cone when he had been called to the arena, appearing there with a strawberry/chocolate cone he looked rather silly. "Oh. It's my turn." Rogue mumbled to himself as he stared Akylos down, he hadn't stayed for his fight and didn't know a thing about him. Then again he didn't really care.

"Hey Lucifer! When did you start letting nobodies into the tournament! I mean seriously.." Rogue yelled towards the host of the contest.

But before a reply was made, a referee announced for the match to begin. Akylos, at this, quite nervous it seemed, began to make odd noises in fear. He quickly calmed himself and stared at Rogue before looking down. And then, with his confidence restored, he stood up for himself.

"This nobody has been serving the Genesis King for years now!"

"Oh, the Genesis king?" Rogue laughed a little as he looked at the little servant boy. "When did you start letting stupid nobodies into your tournaments!? I mean really, the Genesis King? He got his ass handed to him by Zere." Rogue shrugged before hurling a small baseball sized orb of violet flame towards Akylos.

The violet flames were surrounded by a golden orb which quickly melted in the flames, but it changed the color of the flames slightly to have a golden tint. These flames landed on the ground, creating a wall of golden-violet flames between the two contestants. These golden purple flames were flames of Mind Fire. A fire which would cause whoever it touched's mind to turn to mush...

Three spheres of this golden fire shot out from the wall towards Rogue.

OOC: Shit you posted? Fucking remind me.

A wall of violet fire raised as the golden fire was launched, burning into nothingness as the two stood there behind their own walls. "Heh, nothing better then fire." Rogue muttered as his own wall shot forth towards Akylos' wall, followed by what seemed to be a large chunk of the arena.

OOC:K2's right, in all fairness, you should have been watching the battle, and he called it. Unless it hasn't been three days(I wouldn't be able to tell, since the mobile version of the forum doesn't show it), he's already called it.

The golden fire quickly began to overtake the violet fires, and acted as a net to 'catch' the earth being hurled towards Akylos, before throwing it back at Rogue, its form lit with the golden fire which had only grown stronger with the violet fire feeding its creation. This Mind Fire then proceeded to spread out, lighting a great part of Rogue's side of the arena. If it touched Rogue, it was game over, but Akylos had tamed the fire with his magic, and it wouldn't effect him.

In the air high above the two, a golden bird of some sorts began to form from a bit of the fire which had flared up. The firebird kept watch over the scenario before it, observing.

"Heh, I guess once in a while brute force just doesn't work." Rogue muttered as he walked forward and through the Mind Fire, apparently unaffected. But in fact he was, but he had imprinted his mind onto his own spirit, and was controlling his body from there. While his body was technically now a vegetable it didn't matter, his spirit took the place of his mind, controlling his heart beat, and all of his involuntary functions. He could repair the damage later, but not now. Reaching out with his hand while he walked towards Akylos he grabbed a handful of the fire, putting it up to his mouth he swallowed it, his stomach was already full of God Fire and this was more of a technique to better understand his enemies weapon. As the Mind Fire hit the swirling vortex of violet flame inside his body it was absorbed, and the God Fire changed, just slightly as it became immune to it's effects.

"That all you have you nobody?" He asked as his body burst into flame, covered in a massive aura of God Flame.

"Impressive," Akylos admitted, "I don't know what you did, but somehow you can withstand Mind Fire... You walked right through it. That makes you strong... And it makes me quite a bit nervous."

Akylos grinned as his wall met with the firebird. This fire compressed and suddenly flew past Rogue to Akylos, surrounding him... But the fire quickly disappeared, having changed Akylos's form. His entire body was coated gray, his entire right arm transformed into a blade. Whatever material he was now made of, it was hard and could not be burned or melted... And in the gray were hints of gold. This was the armor of the Genesis King himself, only transformed to be skin, and improved to be more durable and have less weaknesses.

Akylos began to step forward towards Rogue, ready to meet him, as he drew back his arm blade and swept it in towards Rogue, the end of it soaked in some sort of liquid, the blade and armor itself to be uneffected by the God Fire.

http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=Shotgun&order=9&offset=168&offset=216#/d2q3qba - Rogue's firearm.

But it was repelled as it bounced off a well worn chunk of metal that appeared in Rogue's hand, a great big grin on his face as he aimed the barrel of the gun towards Akylos, firing massive slugs of super-dense metal as he pulled the trigger, if it didn't get past the armor it would throw the his opponent across the arena with the sheer force. "Like it? Last time I had to pull this baby out it was great two handed sword..then again it changes without my consent, to whatever weapon of War it fancies at the time." Rogue informed, pulling the trigger again and instead of slugs coming out it fired like a machine-gun.

But the gun's bullets found themselves repelling back into its barrel and breaking through the gun itself, tearing Rogue's guns to scrapmetal. The moment the blade of Akylos had made contact with the guns, the liquid the blade was coated with had warped the substance of the gun, twisting it and turning it against itself so even the sheer force of the bullets couldn't penetrate the gun's frame.

With Rogue's guns out of the way and beyond repair, Akylos once more lunged towards Rogue, liquid forming on his sword again as he swung.

"Oh damn..poor girl." Rogue muttered to his firearm as he leaped into the air and over the lunging Akylos, within a few moments the liquid was shot off the gun's frame as it morphed itself back into it's original state, now quite resistant to warping. Creating a thin barrier around the gun itself it created another defense against the liquid, firing more slugs before reverting back to it's machine-gun like state, only this time the bullets and slugs were filled with a very acidic substance, capable of eating it's way through steel faster then you could say. "OH GOD IS THAT ACID!?"

But Akylos, preparing in a split second as he knew that his enemy was firing, prepared a barrier in-front of Rogue's gun, meeting the force of the ammunition and causing that which was fired to bounce back, thus hitting the barrier around the gun. It was like a game of ping-pong... But Akylos didn't have time for games. He spun around, moving his blade with him, seeking to stab into Rogue's ribs with his gun occupied.

But as the blade got close Rogue launched himself into the air, pumping the shotgun like device the ammunition seemed to change, now firing bullets that seemed to negate magic. Well, magic that it touched anyway. Truthfully Rogue had a small conversation with Abel before he had ended up leaving Hell, and Abel accidentally let Nilgaitt slip, after a few minutes of prying Rogue and figured out enough about it to create a very weak version of it, not projecting an aura of influence but only affected that which it touched. Firing slugs filled with acid AND laced with Fake!Nilgaitt Rogue smiled, levitating dozens of feet in the air.

Akylos was astounded at how the bullets simply passed through his barrier. He quickly submerged himself into the ground of Hell, dodging the bullets shot towards him. Once underground, Akylos grinned as several blades identical to the one on his hand and lit with the liquid that had been on his last blade began to rise from the ground, trying to stab Abel from underneath.

Laughing as the blades popped up from the ground Rogue once again pumped the shotgun like firearm, despite it's obvious ability to fire more then shotgun shells. This time he fired what appeared to be a spray of small pellets, although the pellets exploded like a grenade when they hit the ground. Each one had the force of a standard frag grenade, but Rogue was firing them like a semi-automatic pistol, quickly digging into and towards Akylos.

But as the blade got closer they clashed with a incredibly large sword that appeared in Rogue's other hand, it was so big it looked incredibly odd that he held in only one hand, whacking the blades away as if they were flies. There was a liquid on the blade as well, something quickly composed by Rogue to counteract Akylos' liquid.

But the black blades suddenly spurted up en masse, overwhelming the sheer force of Rogue by attacking from different directions. With his arms held up (one hand with a sword and one with his gun), the blades attacked from all different directions. Meanwhile, blades under the ground met the projectiles Rogue was shooting and reflecting them, some taking the damage themselves, causing the blades to break only to gather in one area underground as the broken blades began forming into one, giant blade.

But as the blade got close they met a spherical barrier around the demi-god, with a smile on his face as he pumped the shotgun one more time he fired what appeared to be a massive bolt of lightning, there didn't appeared to be an end to what this gun could fire, but as the bolt hit the blades it seemed to be alive. Evaporating the liquid as it snaked from blade to blade, heading towards the ground it had a set target, and it was Akylos.

But the giant blade, upon being completed, reached out and deflected the lightning, sending it back towards Rogue, absorbing the liquid from it as it did so. Now extra-coated in liquid, the giant blade followed the lightning, ready to break right through Rogue's barrier, on its way towards Rogue's neck, ready to cut his head off.

But Rogue disappeared, only to reappear on the ground with a look of confusion on his face. Followed by a look of anger and disappointment. "Lucifer. My uncle is here. Me and my remaining family in the tournament are withdrawing." Rogue announced, the gun in his hand transforming into deep red energy before being absorbed into Rogue's mouth and eyes. With that, he disappeared.

"What?" Akylos asked, looking around as he appeared on the ground, thousands of blades appearing on the ground. "I.. won?"

And with that, Akylos absorbed his blades and left the fighting platform.
