Rescue
« on: July 18, 2010, 07:03:34 PM »
With the shockwave spreading across the universe, Celestie had been able to locate her phoenix friend. Promptly teleporting to the Outerverse after surrounding herself with a form-fitting barrier, she lands rather softly just five feet from Hikaru, as a familiar magic signature washes over her.

"I'd heard you got imprisoned. Very nice exit, though I see it tired you out quite a bit." She says softly, crouching beside the prone Hikaru. "Come, I'll take you to my home, and you can rest while you tell me how much hell you raised." She adds, picking the unconscious Hikaru up and turning towards the arriving Aralangs and the fallen fighter. Scowling, Celestie promptly crouches to the ground, whispering ancient Relorian words of power as she jumps abnormally high into the air. Her barrier extends to cover Hikaru as a massive explosion rocks the area, a crystalline-armored phoenix made from magic threads soaring out, wingspan well over twenty feet long.

Here, in a place of magic and power, the Aralangs are nigh defenseless. In the screeching voice of the fiery bird, the Phoenix sounds within the Aralang minds via bone conduction, the screech forming into words.

"This is a place of power, of sanctuary. You who forsake magic do not belong here. Leave, lest the dimension itself rise against you and slaughter you without any mercy."

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

An Elite Aralang pulled the downed Fighter back into their side of the rip. The Fighter then got back to life. The Aralangs in the Outerverse backed away into their own dimension.

"Hikaru's mind did come in handy," an Elite soldier said, looking at Celestie and Hikaru from the Aralang side of the rip. "As far as I read, the dimension doesn't work like that."

"Aye, as far as you read. But even Ms. Tryis doesn't know everything about this place. It may not be sentient, but it still has its own will. The Outerverse does not allow technology to function for a reason, Aralang." She replies, her phoenix construct smirking at him as if she knows something he does not. "Do not follow us, for you will not receive mercy nor forgiveness for the crimes you have committed, both against Hikaru, and against us all."  It continues, before dropping what looks like a massive bubble of liquid gold to the ground.

As soon as it lands, it reforms, rising into a massive, ten foot tall crystalline bear as the phoenix flies through a portal, closing it immediately once the last tail feather is through. "My guardian will serve to safeguard this place from you who would taint it. Do not test our patience, Aralang, for you will find it to be in short supply."

"Let them go, guys," the Elite said as he turned towards the troops. He and most of the troops went away. The Fighter was beamed to another part of the station. Some troops stayed behind to keep watch.

"You got the beacon?" he asked an Aralang.

"No. Technology apparently doesn't work in there."

"Well, when it pops up on your sensors, you know she isn't in the Outerverse."
