So, I'm sure you are no doubt aware that either you or someone else on the forum was tricked into going to a random topic aside from the one you wanted to go to because of the notifications in the shoutbox.

To be honest, I started the whole thing. >:{D
But don't fret! Even I'm not invincible against my own poison! I myself have gotten fooled a few times. But the key word in that sentence is "few." It's about time I taught everyone the trick. Why? Cause' I'm bored.

See that? Copy whatever is in that box and input it the shoutbox! Do it now! Don't make any changes! If you did it correctly, you hopefully fooled someone into going into a flinging atmosphere whatever topic when really they thought they'd be going to the funny chatlog topic! Seriously, you'll even fool me. I don't keep topic IDs memorized.

So how do you make your own? Simple.

Select that so you can actually read it. It's as simple as it says: Place a URL and a popular topic name and away you go!

For those that are still messing it up, here it is:

Take out all of these spaces before using this rather than the codebox one.

Put a URL after the url= in that code line, and a topic name after the Re:.

I want to lay down a few ground rules, but hey, I'm not staff. These are more like suggestions really.

1: Don't make the topic name one that doesn't exist. No one is going to be tricked by it unless the topic name degrades another member. And even then you're on the verge of probably breaking a forum rule or two.
2: Don't do it ALL THE TIME. It's already pretty funny once or twice, especially if whoever your tricking isn't expecting it. But please, don't spam the shoutbox with them. Because one, no one is going to fall for it if you do it repeatedly. And two, you shouldn't be spamming the shoutbox anyways!

That's it. I don't control the rules, and I can't enforce these either, so don't blame me if you get punished for something!

With the arrival of new shoutbox commands, it's a daunting task to remember all of them for the sake of remembering. Here are some that all members can perform in the shoutbox.
