First Wave Of New Planets
« on: August 01, 2010, 06:24:50 PM »
I've added the first wave of hopefully many unowned (but not easy to get, mind you) planets. Anyone can NPC any defenses on a planet in the event of a takeover BESIDES parties taking over the planet.

Milky Way Galaxy
Agira
Agira (AKA Roswell) is an abandoned planet of mixed architecture between Relorian and Tal (a race of aliens) style. The Tal once lived here, earning their planet the nickname of Roswell after a visit to Earth which exposed them. The planet was later abandoned and taken over by several parties, including the Relorians. Unowned.

Saeculum Galaxy
Bula Bala
Bula Bala's people are religious extremists believing in a god named Lato. The climate is mountain-like.

Insanus System (Galaxy)
Shula
Shuma (AKA Roswell 2) is an outpost of the Tal people, a race of small, gray aliens who once visited Earth and were exposed in a city named Roswell, earning them the galactic nickname of "Roswell". An intelligent race, this home is all they have left. It is a planet-wide city.

Temar
Temar is a remarkably unusual planet, moving through space, sustained by a shroud of light which surrounds the planet. Temperatures, remarkably, remain around 100 degrees. Unowned.

Tri-Aid Galaxy
Dema
Dema is a planet with a swampy climate. Every six months, it rains resulting in planet-wide floods, followed by six months of evaporation. The planet natives seem to be able to control the water currents.

Advanced Dama Supertitan
In the Tri-Aid Galaxy, far in the depths of space, sits a remarkable treasure beyond imagine. A supertitan, larger than any ship imaginable -- the size of four suns, this ship, beyond flight capabilities and repair in that department, contains unimaginable data of a race known as Dama... If you can get past the ship defenses. The technology here is remarkably similar to Suvian technology, but different. Unowned.

Notice all but one of these planets end with 'A'. :P

Yes.

To clear things up...

Gaserlake: "Anyone can NPC any defenses on a planet in the event of a takeover BESIDES parties taking over the planet."
Gaserlake: wha tyou mean by that?
Gaserlake: what you*
Kaleb: like City of the Suvian
Kaleb: pretty much anyone played the part of the city.
Gaserlake:  BESIDES parties taking over the planet."
Gaserlake: what about that part?
Kaleb: If you're trying to take over the 'city' you can't play the part of the city.

Would building a home there be considered a take over?

Bula Bala, if you don't believe in their god, yes. The other one, certainly.

wait, so how would Agira's NPC defenses work if it's abandoned? Is it Migaitt-like where the Planet itself will kill you?

... That supertitan looks pretty awesome though.

Would a home be considered a take over on any of the worlds?

I don't think Agira would have much of any defense. Hawk, idk, just make a home somewhere. Each of these are designed to have some kind of challenge to it. Agira probably has some ancient defenses from tech put in by the Relorians or Tal.

Eh... it's more of a megalith than a super-titan, for the Dama.

So call dibs on NPCing Dama, unless I'm attacking it of course.
The world is a mess..and I just need to..rule it.

As I'm the only one who really knows anything about Relorian stuff, I'll obviously have to NPC Agira. IM me with details on the Tal stuff?
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

The size makes it megalith. I mean, the name sounds cool, but... eh... I guess I'll have to rewrite part of the ship class sizes.

It makes sense that the Dama might call a megalith a supertitan.

Eh... True... but I might do it anyway to keep it from being misleading.
