Charles - The Harbinger of Death
« on: August 03, 2010, 02:18:04 AM »
Name: - Harbinger, but  his friends call him Charles.

Age: As old as sentient life and death have existed... So I would say he's pretty old.

Race: Reaper which should be considered Demi-Gods or embodiements. Or both.

Alliance: Well, the Reapers, the Judges, God/Elli and Lucifer.

Biography: Born from the darkness, created by the original reaper. He was on of the first created. There were originally 12, but as the populations of the dimensions grew, more and more Reapers were created. In the original war in Heaven he as well as the other Reapers remained neutral. On the more recent war in Heaven, while most of the Reapers remained Neutral yet again, he chose the side of god and they won. He continued to do his Reaper work, but for the most part he traveled, often to magical worlds to explore.

Weapons: His magical abilities and a black sword writhing with black flames and a black skull on the pommel. The skull has sapphire eyes. It can absorb people souls... once they are dead at least. Looks similar to this: http://masda.deviantart.com/art/Black-Orchid-Sword-1066941?q=boost%3Apopular+black+sword&qo=1 or this: http://fafcf09.deviantart.com/art/Grim-Reaper-Sword-32062693?q=boost%3Apopular+grim+reaper&qo=18

Equipment: His clothing. A talking skull in a jar named Bob, who speaks with a Scottish accent. Jar for the souls he took that don't fit in his sword.

Magic Level: 5.25! he is an extremely high ranking Reaper, after all.... I think its appropriate.

Appearance: He is a tall, imposing figure who wears the traditional black robes of his station. Though his robes often mask it, he has broad shoulders and a well muscled physique..
His skin is pale and taut, almost as if its under constant stress. His eyes are a deep black and it almost looks like his pupil and iris are one. He also often wears the mask of a skull to hide his face.

There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

You know...I was under the assumption there was only one Reaper when I applied for him...That might need a bit of elaboration...
Not that I have a problem with multiple Reapers. More that I wanna know exactly whats what about all that.

Well, if you look at Ryt, his bio says that there are others.

My idea was that there was one origanally, but as sentient life grew, he had to make more to do the task work.

I demand that my good friend's character is approved! Or shot down with a justifiable reason!

We've decided we have too many god-like characters as it is, and so we're trying to keep the number of new ones down. 5, or 5.5 at max for magic level, please. That should be plenty enough to do the vast majority of his job anyway.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.
