Arcane Judgement
« on: December 29, 2009, 06:28:46 PM »
Portals opened all over Nosvasia. Sages in full body armor literally poured out of their portals in columns of 10,000 men each.  All began to cast spells to claim this planet.  Animites were triggered summoning  hundreds of millions of unskilled creatures to conquer the inhabitants. The sages also kept coming out of the portal until there were 80,000 Sages on this planet. The Flag of the legacy empire rose out of the ground.

More sages poured out of the portals this time they were all riding Dragons and they all attacked using the dragons to help them scorch the trees regardless of what kind of tree it was it would be scorched beyond recognition.  The other 80,000 joined in by casting black and white flames at the trees while the animite creatures used their blade like hands to slice through the trees.

(Bad Hawkeye. You know that, after the initial post, you MUST wait 3 full days before the territory is yours. Thus, this counts as double posting. The board hasn't even been open for 2 weeks and you're already getting in trouble.)
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

(yes, but I double posted in order to reinforce the people there since Orph said he was bringing the Archive here to this world over IM,  I decided to give him a tough time landing)

(Eh. Different meanings. My meaning is for metaphysics.)

It was all peaceful, until something strange happened, like an Alice in Wonderland sort of thing, only gorier. Trees started to surround the Sages, when they came onto the planet. Roots came out of the ground, wrapping up sages. These roots have enough strength to pull the bodies apart into two, as well as literally squeezing necks off. These trees are naturally resistant to magic, around 10%. Some roots even pulled down some Sages. The ground opened up, ready to pull the Sages in.

More and more gaps have been made. In fact, there is a gap surrounding the Sages. The trees, which are past the gap, are starting to push the Sages towards the center. (This is not Sparta.) Grass began to grow so thick and tall, that you can't see a foot in front of you, making it easy to walk into the hole.

Tree branches reached out and grabbed some of the Sages, with the strength to squeeze them enough to bloody pulps.

A voice roared, "Who dares to walk on me?!" The voice is strong enough to quake the ground, making Sages lose their balance, disorientating them. Then, 5 distinct holes appeared on the ground. Two of them resembled eyes, two resembled nostrils, and the largest, which resembled a moth. It opened wide, and started to have the Sages fall in.

The Sages all levitated into the air. "The Sages of the Legacy Empire.  We were told to prevent anyone besides ourselves from taking this world by any means nessecarry and we thought it best if we conquered this world in order to prevent them. "  They were all shaking in terror.

But, the trees used their branches and their leaves to cover the skies. The leaves and branches seem like solid rock, when the Sages levitated into them. The ones that did get to escape is pulled down by a branch or a root.

"You dare to walk on me? I protect this world by myself! You shall be punished for walking on me!" the mouth said.

The mouth then opened up wide. It became so wide, it did not even resemble a mouth anymore, in proportion to the other 4 resemblances. In fact, it covered the 4 other holes. All of the Sages fell into the hole. The ones that manage not to fall were either pushed in, or dragged, or thrown into the hole. The hole closed, sealing the exit. Then, the entire hole closed on itself, crushing all of the Sages to death.

Portals once again opened up but this time there were no sages coming.  No.  Concentrated Defoliant Bombs were dropped on this planet to kill  the things that had murdered the sages. It was as if their death had caused the other 90,000 sages to begin fighting from somewhere the sentient trees couldn't attack.

Regular Animite creatures armed with clipper swords and wings came out of the portals as well slicing at the Sentient trees and avoiding the limbs, branches and roots of the trees.  They dropped payloads of Defoliant grenades down at the pl;anet.

The entire planet had angered the sages immensely and so they also began to cast spells of blight down at the planet causing all forestry that was killed by the acid to never blossom forth again with sentience or health. In effect they were killing the world with their magic so they could make it be reborn through the crucible of fire and take the place of what they had lost when Gallaghar's strength had began to wane.

(Now that I have 2 approvals)

Portals opened over the sentient trees and defoliation weapons began to be dropped on them causing them to wither and die due to the herbicide, acid and poison combination mixed together in the Defoliants.

Gates opened on the planet releasing hordes of animite creatures armed with clipper swords, some of which could fly. They also attacked the sentient trees and in the mean time regular non magic infantry swarmed forward firing guns  to defoliate the enviroment in order to make room for buildings, houses, etc.  The entire planet would fall in 72 hours time.

The branches and the leaves died from inhaling the fumes, but the base of the trees are protected by a thick layer of bark. The branches and the leaves turned to dust, with the fumes. As the fumes are no more, the trees then quickly grew more branches and leaves.

The trees went towards the portals, and grew their bark to the point of having no exit for said portals. Since the bark is resistant to the defoliants, it's basically a barricade. If the bark dies, the layer falls off, exposing a fresh layer of bark. The trees would then grow more bark.

The Animite creatures however used battle axes as well as their clipper machetes to ruthlessly attack the bases of the sentient trees since the gate ways weren't being targeted by the Sentient trees. The Mages or Sages in the portals threw out fire spell after fire spell to incinerate the branches easily.

A blue poisonous fog swept over the entire planet not affecting the animite creatures but attaching to the trees and began to devour the trees completely. Obviously the planet should surrender.

More Portals opened and out came more of the Defoliation bombs, grenades and globs of herbicide that had been jelled into a jelly like mix that exploded when hit with fire.

Branches grew from the bark and snatched the machetes away from the users. If the users held on, they would be flying. The roots then threw the machetes at the Mages and Sages before they used the fire spell.

While the fog devours the bark, the sap from the trees evaporated the fog before it could to any severe damage. The trees then regrew their missing parts back very quickly.

The trees did the same process as before, to stop the defoliation weapons from killing the trees. The leaves and branches died, bark protects, the leaves and branches regrow. They then used their bark to barricade the other portals.

The Sages and Mages dodged all the Machetes that had been hurled at them.  They then focused their magic causing the portals to close. Now they would try something new. Something that would win this battle easily.  Avidan would be called forth to negotiate control of this planet in order to give them a temporary base until they could expand their militayr.

Avidan then appeared summoned by the need of the Sages. He was unarmed this time as he was no fool and didn't want to go up against the Sentient Trees or the planet itself. He however had stopped dimming his magical signature to show this planet that he meant it no harm yet.  He then spoke to the land through his magic :  I wish to talk to you land and know what it would take for my people to inhabit this world.

The Sages and Mages that dodged the machetes were distracted just enough for branches to wrap around them, and started using them as weapons, having them hit others until they were beaten down to a bloody pulp, giving them no time to use the fire spells without being killed. The fire gets evaporated from the sap.

Avidan's head boomed with a voice. "NO! LEAVE NOW! THIS IS OUR PLANET! LEAVE OR DIE!"

Avidan then goraned. Truly there would be no negotiating with this planet.  He then made a gesture towards the portals and they all closed and the bombs stopped being dropped on the planet completely.   -Very well,  allow me to call them off-

Magic extended out of Avidan into the minds of the Sages causing them to stop sending the Animite creatures through the gates they had conjured up to allow them to bring the creatures here.

He then teleported himself off World to his pocket dimension. He would have to search for a world to call home. Prefferably one that would be open to him.
