Benjamin South vs K2323
« on: August 29, 2010, 12:34:29 AM »
There were times when a man would fight for entertainment or to see who would be the victor. Then there were times when men would fight with everything they had to defend honor or something along those lines. This situation here was the former. K2323 was proud to be fighting Benjamin as the two gathered in the K Dome on the soil far below the arena stands. They were here...

To see who would win.

"Let's not hold anything back now," K2323 yelled, "A fight to the death will be sufficient if necessary!"

Benjamin, clad in loose, light, white war robes kept his face stern. He nodded, and yelled in reply, "May the best man win." He was not one for idle chatter before, during, or after a fight. The concept of a are knuckle magic brawl pleased him. No magnifanium, no HAVOK's or AM fields.

Just a fight between two powerful magic users. And he could feel k2323's power. Just sensing it was overwhelming. But as red energy crackled through his system and made his lilac eyes glow, he was sure K2323 was feeling the same.

"Fine, let's get right to the point, then," K2323 said, grinning. "Appear."

Three portals appeared near Benjamin South. Inside them, swirling tornadoes of fire could be seen, spinning but not coming the portal.

"Sun," K2323 muttered. The sunlight began to intensify, the heat rising.

As soon as the portals opened, Benjamin leaned forward and stomped the ground with his foot, launching him towards K2, and away from the portals, with great speed. Both his hand were lit with a raw, red energy, that would be the ruin of any creature it touched.

(Be back soon, sorry.)

(It's fine.)

But the portals moved with Benjamin, surrounding him in such a way that at the speed he was going, he'd move right into the fire tornadoes.

Realizing he was going to fast to stop now, the energy fades from his hands, and he forms a red barrier in front of the portal, blocking the heat and creating a solid surface for him.

He spread his feet in front of him, and they made contact with the barrier. He used his momentum to wall run over the barrier and thus over the portal, landing in front of K2.

But K2323 had begun calculating strategies as soon as the barrier had been formed and was ready, forming a wall of metal to block any attacks from Benjamin. At the same time, the two unblocked portals combined, releasing a storm of fire vortexes onto the arena.

Benjamin had been playing with fire for years. Although he felt the roaring fire behind him, it did not bother him. Feeling the vortex coming, He simply created a larger barrier behind him, blocking the flames from coming any further, while simultaneously punching the ground. A focused red energy wave launched from his hand, traveling underground and breaking under K2, releasing furious red energy underneath him.

A portal opened in the paths of the vortexes to bypass the barrier as the red energy being shot towards K2323 was met by a wave of darkness which enveloped that red energy. At the same time, randomly, the arena floor began to be coated with nobody-in-particular's blood.

Turning as the vortex of flame came closer, Benjamin felt a jolt of adrenaline to his system. He took a deep intake of breath, before unleashing a magically enhanced blow which blew the fire out.

He was out of breath for a second, but would recover quickly.

...But the fire wasn't ordinary fire.

This spell was Genesis Flames. These flames were laced with Genesis Magic and couldn't simply be 'blown out' like a candle. And the vortex advanced on Benjamin, as did the dark energy which had eliminated the red energy. Blood continued to fill up the stadium.

Benjamin took a deep breath, still not fully recovered, but he reenacted his early move and stomped the ground, creating a focused explosion that sent him flying into the air, out of the reach of the black energy. A quick black flip brought him behind the wall, which would block the vortex of Genesis flames, at least for now. Well he was falling, he moved to try to drop directly on K2, but instead of charging any kind of magic he waited for his reaction.

The blood reached up, as did the metal of the wall, towards Benjamin. K2323, at the same time, jumped three paces backwards. The blood formed a hand of some sorts and began to reach out to try to grab Benjamin as the metal wall began to wrap around him.

Benjamin had already flipped over the steel wall before it rose too high, so he was guarded from the inferno behind it. Focusing on the hand, he conjured a fireball that was about 300 degrees. The magical energy in his blood stream absorbed into his skin, protecting him from the heat. He flung the ball at the hand of blood, the water inthe blood turned to steam instantly and the blood itself coagulated, turning to powder. With a simple wind gust, the powder was flung into the air all around them, falling like brown black snow. He faced K2 in the dried blood snowstorm, smiling.

"You're stronger than I thought," K2323 admitted, staring Benjamin directly in the eyes. "Hydrate, sea."

The blood began to liquidize once more as more blood poured in, quickly beginning to flood the arena. The Genesis Fire Tornadoes now seemed to be shifting past the metal wall by flowing with the blood. The tornadoes all spun up near Benjamin, the metal wall itself boiling from the fire and being absorbed as well. That created quite a sight...

As half-dried blood rained, fresh blood flooded the arena. On top of the fresh blood spun several Genesis Fire tornadoes mixed with blood and metal... It was a Cursed Metal Genesis Tornado. Ontop of a cursed lake. And it was floating right towards Benjamin. K2323 watched, amused, from somewhere high above as he floated now in the air.

Benjamin's lilac eyes flickered bemusedly in reply. He excitedly watched around him as the tornadoes came closer. He figured they would have an effect to follow him, like the portals before them, so he got an idea. He let them get close, almost to the point where he was being drug off his feet by the wind. But his feet seemed rooted in the spot, artificially weighing himself down with magic energy. When he couldn't stay rooted to the ground any longer, he teleported suddenly.

And appeared a small distance behind K2, dissipating his artificial weight increase and actually making himself lighter as small wind gusts kept him afloat. He watched as the tornadoes suddenly shifted directions and headed for them.

"You wanna call that off, or shall we both be hurt by it?" He said with a smirk.

K2323 turned to Benjamin, grinning a wide grin. "My, my. That's something I would do. Are you sure you're not related to me?" he joked.

Chains erupted from the blood lake rising and the vortexes all, headed straight towards Benjamin. "Unfortunately for you, the spell will only effect you."

Benjamin's smirk vanished. "A useful spell effect..."  He waited again till the last second, and teleported right before they could reach him, to the opposite side of the field.

Before the magic could "react" and turn around, he summoned large amounts of his energy to himself, his heart beat increasing as energy was sucked out of his blood stream. He unleashed a massive, far below zero temperature chilling energy blast, the forming lake of freezing, as well as the tornadoes and chains, since they were all composed, at least in some part, of blood, which was in turn composed of water. This blast would also freeze K2 if he didn't move.

K2323 saw the wave of cold air coming towards him and almost instantly began to heat the air, focusing on the particles and speeding their vibration. The sun's intensity from his earlier spell also helped this. A few moments later, the fire and blood, heating back up, were once more moving towards Benjamin... Only this time, they were spreading out in several different directions, so even if Benjamin teleported away, a vortex would still be near enough.

Although he started to heat the air instantly, it didn't stop the blast of ice air energy from hitting him. He found himself hit with overwhelming cold, his blood literally freezing, as well as  his eyes. K2 effectively died, and his spell affects faded as he fell the ground, shattering.

I can haz victory?

I'm too lazy to comeback to that, though I would.
