The really long ass request. (WIP)

Okay, I'm getting started on this now because if I don't then I never will.
This is both a planet, tech, race/possible character, and empire request. Further requests will be placed in the appropriate areas but the first ones are gonna be here. It's going to be long.
Empire Name: The Empire of Ferrari
Primary Race: It's primary races are the Smiths and the Mercers. And theres some zombie slaves but I don't think they count.
Empire Description: The empire was created by C'thulhu who convinced the two races to serve him with promises of power and ultimate domination.
Additional Information: It is a Capitalistic-Commune in that while it's government is strictly Communist it's economy is Capitalistic, in that there is but one leader and that is C'thulhu.
Territories: The entire planet of Ferrari.


The Smiths:
Smiths are humanoid creatures with an extreme affinity for creating and upgrading. The reason they're called Smiths is because on their planet they have constructed many huge metal working factories in which they create most of their weapons, armor, and technology. Smiths have super-human strength and extremly hard scales covering their body strong enough to stop a .300 caliber bullet, hence the reason all their weapons from pistols to shot guns are always over .300.

Religion: Less of a religion and more of a simple truth they believe in Dakka. Dakk being Smith slang for rapid fire capability, based on the onomatopoeia for automatic guns shooting. They beleive that you need moar of it. No exceptions.

Cthulhu never made a empire or anything in the Lovecraft Mythos. He's a freakin' high priest of his kind, if Orga's right about that stuff, but not a leader. This is Orga's character-Which YOU approved, might I add-who he likes calling Cthulhu. Trust me, its not a rip.

It's still a character known only to that damn book. And yes, I approved it, after telling him to change the name before. That character is not in any other fiction besides that or derivations off that. Change the name, no rips. And don't tell me it's not a rip, it's obvious it is, his avatar, his obsession. Yeaaaaah, nice try.

Fine, then. But all you've gotta do is ask him to change it, not say the entire thing is a rip off because of a damn name. Like I said, its been a while since he's been on. He hasn't had a good source of internet for a few monthes.

No, names can be a rip off just as much as ideas and concepts, if its not a common name.

Doesn't mean that the entire thing is a rip off. He's made it derived, not a rip off. And complete originality is almost impossible, anyways. We all get inspired by the work of others, you know.

That's true, I derived Lucifer off the design of C'Thulu. But I only derived it, and the name certainly wasn't the same.

umm... Dude... I think you mean that their government is totalitarian. The governments that claim to communism are actually Marxist Socialists, or Maoist socialists.

@Hik: I have stated in C'thulhu's request that his name was originally Dr. Keith Yuto but that after his transformation he changed it to C'thulhu. Also, the only thing my C'thulhu has in relation to Lovecraft's C'thulhu is the name and general appearance minus the tattoos. C'thulhu never made an empire, hell he was only in one single short story, and all he did was wake up, kill two or three people, then get hit in the head by a boat. Plus Hiro is right, no one has copyrights on C'thulhu.

1. THEY HAD NO CAPITALISTIC IDEALS (anyone with them was shot)
2. The soviet union WAS totalitarian that was their government, they called themselves 'communist' but the weren't.

It could always be explained that C'thulu was an alian who visited Earth and was written about, thought to be fiction, and later copyrited by Lovecraft. Tada!

Whats wrong with their religion being dakka? Its a homage to the orks of Warhammer 40k. It is from it, but its not copying the circumstances of it or anything. Dakka is just Ork slang for ammo.

And the C'thulu isn't copyrighted, nor does C'thulu actually really do anything in Lovecraft. He's just a high pries of some sort. Its not a rip.

C'thulhu is a name from another piece of work.

Let's assume the works of George Lucas aren't copyrighted. If I made a character named Anakin Skywalker, and he was NOTHING like the original character, would it still be a rip?
