A large portal made of a purple energy of some sorts appeared nearby the planet and began to pull it in.

The energy was nulled. Both by the AM fields for any possible magic, as well as any real anti-energy shields.
Not only that but all the planetary defense ships came closer to the portal and projected a large AM field around themselves, strong enough to protect half the system. They also had AE fields.

There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

But the portals still stood strong. This wasn't magic... This was Tefillin's fate.

The ZArethian ships, in one last ditched effort, used their pocket dimension creators to engulf the portal in a singular pocket dimension.

The portal then ripped a hole through the pocket dimension, creating a sort of vortex in orbit around Tefillin. The vortex was a sort of hole in space. As night fell upon Tefillin, all would look into the sky and see a rip in space... And on the other side was the pocket dimension with the purple portal in it. And it was pulling the planet towards the pocket dimension.

Again the diellingr ship opened a portal, this time to another dimension, engulfing the other portal and ensnaring it.
