Alaskarine made a face, glaring around the darkened room. She hated when the power went out, especially when she was in the mood to read. Having been put on house arrest, Alaskarine was left to read the endless amount of books that was located in her "office" room, where she was forced to stay and actually do some of the work of being an Empire leader. She hated it.
So, here she was, searching for a lighter to light the old fashioned oil lamp that she had stored for such occasions as these (and for mischief). Once she flicked the lighter on, she illuminated a vast majority of her desk top, allowing her to light the oil lamp easily. "There we go." she said in her happy, melodic voice. Sure, she was a teenager, but she had that aura of being older and more wise. Course...she didn't know anything cause she couldn't remember shit, but that was why she was on house arrest. That and because she kept sneaking off and disappearing for a while.
"Ugh." she slumped in her seat and her face thudded against the book that was open on her desk. "Why?" she asked. "WHY AM I HERE!? UGH!"
