Name: Kurai (Means 'dark/gloomy/dull,' Opposite of Hikaru meaning 'to shine/bright.')
Age: Technically newborn. Takes Hikaru's age though. Appears Hikaru's apperance age.

Biography: Unlike other Negi, Kurai formed within the early years of her host, but did not leave. As Hikaru had locked her conscience, allowing herself to be a merciless sociopath without guilt, Kurai had no need to, no reason. Hikaru was already a merciless killer after all, so the Negi instead worked together with her host, the two of them being able to cause even more destruction that way.
However, as time progressed (through the OK and GE,) Hikaru began to suppress the Negi form, and sealed it away into her soul, along with the left over memories of the countless massacres and other memories she wished to forget. Because memories are never forgotten, the link was still there in her mind, but became repressed into metamemory. Therefore, she kept the memory that she did massacres, but not to the detailed extent that Kurai would be further released.
But because she still her conscience locked, and her memories sealed, Hikaru balanced on the thin line between good and evil, believing herself to be merciless evil, but unable to stop the tendancies to care around family, due to the still remaining link to the sealed consience. This became even more apparent when Koty had came into her care. Wanting nothing to do with him at first, eventually she softened to the point, he was even her partner, love had taken ahold and further opened the remaining link.
Opening it had a negative effect, however, as Kurai was still there, and opening it further, released her further as well. And due to the nature of Negi, as Hikaru gained more power throughout the years, mastering Phoenix, gaining Revelation (which due the feed on Spirits, was a dark magic to begin with,) and bonding in the first stage of Orias to Koty, giving her limited ability to use god fire, all of it began to feed through the link, strengthening Kurai even further.
But not until did Hikaru get Genesis, did things happen. Due being trapped in the Prison dimension and having to resort to a powerful spell to rip her way out, as she was already exhausted. Hikaru had put all of her energy into the spell. Phoenix, Revelation, and even the untrained Genesis powers. With this over exhertion of her already trained magic, added with the untrained magic, all the negative that had built up through the years, Kurai was sealed, fed through the remaining connection in one burst. But because Hikaru was weak of spirit, Kurai could not break through, not yet.
So she waited, which turned out to be in her favor.
The shield around her mind now broken, and no longer allowed. Hikaru was forced to endure the guilt her now unsealed consience brought about her. For a while it went so far as to take her magic, due to the doubt and confusion she herself had, and the resulting identity crisis of no longer knowing what she wanted. This ended up in PTSD, as she fought with the repressed metamemory of her conscience.
Slowly, and carefully, she began to come to terms with herself, and accept it. For a while this worked, -until- Hikaru had to release a sealed memory. But with one unsealed, came the others, as Kurai finally woke up, and forced herself out of the soul and back into the mind. Reduced to a comatose state from the flood of memories of countless massacres, and the guilt from the unlocked conscience that it brought about. Finally, the timing was right for Kurai to be free of her host.
Now that Hikaru was no longer as evil as she had always claimed, and had actual mercy and caring, Kurai was sickened. Fighting with Hikaru inside her mind through the coma, Kurai eventually broke free as Hikaru finally came to complete terms with herself, and resolved to no longer be the person she once was.

Appearance: Looks a bit like Hikaru, except her hair is a magenta. She wears a mixture of black, magenta and purple, , and thus her phoenix form is magenta, purple, and black as well. But she keeps the golden eyes.
