Rolling up her sleeves
« on: September 14, 2010, 11:00:42 PM »
A custom-design, ice blue corvette fades into view above the planet, the cargo door already opening to let the pale woman out. Descending to the planet, covered in a block of ice to combat the heat of atmospheric entry. Landing in the middle of a crowded street, she stands up and stretches before heading straight for the nearest Japae soldier.

((Note it says JAPAE soldier, not Archive.))
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

OOC: *cough* Japae's not a planet.

A Japaen soldier who happened to be in the district, shopping, saw the strange woman's arrival with his own eyes and walked up to her. "Ma'am, do you have authorization?"

"Old friends have no need of authorization. Or they didn't when the Japae ruled. I seek one of three men, any of them can help me. K2323, former leader of the K Empire. XANAcore, former emperor of the XANAcorians. Or Mokai, Genesis Sage and a close personal friend of K2323. Where might I find them?" She answers, pausing to turn cold-blue eyes to the man.

The sage simply blinked. "I apologize, ma'am... I didn't realize who you were at first. I'm honored to be in the presence of a Relorian legend. To answer your question... K2323 has been, to my knowledge, dead for over a decade now. He died defending this place... But I have heard rumors of his return and crazy conspiracy theories about Aralang cloning technology."

He produced an apple from thin-air and offered it to the young woman. "As for XANACore? Nobody knows exactly what happened to him. He had several clones which ruled in his place, and they rebelled against their creator. The original XANACore, though? My God... If somebody were to find him, they'd be almost as famous and respected as Xanacore himself. Mokai, now, is a name I can relate to. I served directly under him when he was a mere General of the K Empire, before his advancement to Chain and later his leadership role. He set off to attend some tournament, though, some days ago. He left a man named Ju in charge, but the Archive later took over. I'm glad for that. Ju was a... big threat."

"Yes, I've heard rumors of this Ju man, but to be honest, I don't think the Archive to be any better. Our people spent quite a good while homeless because of them. Our Empress spoke with Mokai shortly before the tournament. If you've any information where any of them could be found, or if you know anyone or anything that might." She asks, glancing around, looking for Archive soldiers.

While she wouldn't find any Archive soldiers, she would find out rather sadly that there was a few Archive-Japae civil defense workers nearby, clad in Sentinel armor they were just the basic law-enforcers and peacekeepers. They weren't even directly controlled by the Archive, while the Archive was technically in control of Japae they let them govern themselves, with the support of the Archive and Abel behind them. The Archive felt that Japae was in dangerous times, and they needed a strong government to make sure they made it through said dangerous times, but their last two were either inept or just plain insane. This led to the Archive to decide that they needed to help them back onto their feet, make sure they had a strong ruling party in place.

"Ma'am, may I see some identification?" The closest CD worker requested.

She glanced over at the worker, sighing. "Used to be a time that friends of Mokai and K2323 didn't need identification. What has the Archive done to all of you?"

"If you haven't noticed most if not all of known space is currently either being raided by dangerous psychic insects that devour all biomatter on planets they invade, being attacked by Aralang forces, or just in general anarchy. It's not that we don't want anyone to come and say hello to old friends, it's more along the lines of we want to know who's here, and why, just as a basic security precaution. Japan has always been rather lax when it comes to defense protocols, but now we're trying to beef them up with Archive technology and man power." The CD worker responded, holding out a small device that resembled a PDA. "Please press your forefinger against the screen, we'll get your identification through your DNA. It will take a single skin cell." He informed rather impatiently.

"Considering the Lorcar you speak of haven't made any moves in quite a while, and the Aralangs are under attack themselves, I'd say you've little to worry about here. Japan used to be plenty powerful enough to not have to worry about their security, because they'd fight off any and all invaders. Protocols don't keep an Empire safe. They breed fear, anxiety, distrust. Empires are kept safe by the strength of their people, and the ingenuity of their leaders. The Japan I know, the follows of XANAcore, K2323 and Mokai, would never have accepted your attempts at ruling them this way." She explains, outright turning to the man and, rather pointedly, pulling a pair of snow-white gloves onto her hands.

"You and your Archive allies disgrace this place, distort it. You are ruining the once great Japan. You don't belong here, and if K2323 or XANAcore were with us, you'd be driven out like rabid dogs."

"And why aren't K2323 and XANACore here? Our great Sage for a leader abandoned us, and XANACore is most likely dead, betrayed by his own clones. You seem to think I am an Archive soldier, which I am not. I'm a Japae native, I volunteered for Civil Defense service so I could make sure my family is safe. In fact Japae has never been more prosperous then it is now, we have seemingly limitless resources, our children are taught by some of the best magic users and scientists in the universe. We are protected by the largest fleet and the best equipped and best trained military. What is the point of the "Once great Japan." when it's people suffer, when it's children go hungry, and when it's ruled by a mad-man? The nation doesn't matter as much as the people do, you've lost your sight." The CD worker retorted.

"Now please, put your damn finger on this pad, or else I'll have to bring you into the station for a more thorough DNA testing to verify your identity."

Her arm twitches as she glares at the CD worker. "You think he abandoned you when even now he works to keep you safe from afar? The Japan we all remember is the Japan that aided us in the attack on Dragon Moon, the Japan that helped us take the Starclan from the inside. What I see around me right now is a place ruled by an empire with no honor, no spirit. It is a disgrace. You have traded your own identities for your safety and comfort, an act that is nearly unforgivable. The Japan we remember would have solved its problems themselves, not relied on an empire like the Archive. After all, they'll only help you as long as it's beneficial to them. You'd better be ready for them to drop you the moment they no longer believe it worth it. Hell, they may even attack." She says, staring into his eyes as if to dare him to try.

"It would seem Japan no longer has the will to fight their own battles, let alone aid their old allies. My time here was wasted. Get out of my way, I'm leaving." She adds a few moments later, walking past the man and purposefully bumping hard into his shoulder as she heads back to her ship.

"Then go, it's always the diplomatic approach to come here and insult the people before running with your tail between your legs. You know, it's not like you've actually tried to consult the council.. Only idiots let their pride get in the way." The CD worker turned and began to walk away, nodding towards the Japanese Sage respectively. "Since when have the Archive ruled us? The removed the past government and we elected the council to lead us, all they do is provide some man power and technology to help us back to old glory.."

She laughs and shakes her head, turning her head to face the departing man. "We've dealt with the Archive before. We know how they are. I just hope you and your people figure it out before it's too late." She calls out, before turning on the spot, teleporting into her corvette and taking off.
