Sons of Plunder Tech
« on: September 29, 2010, 12:41:54 AM »
Norr Fighter: A highly advanced fighter used solely by the higher-ups in the Sons of Plunder, the Norr is a ship combining technology, magic and psionics to create a completely modular craft capable of altering its components mid-battle. Limited only to the pilot's imagination and knowledge of the various laws of nature, magic and psionics, Norr fighters are the absolute in versatility, capable of functioning in nearly any environmental condition. AM fields do not cause them to fall apart, while EMP's do not knock out their systems.

Freshly built Norrs are armed with one laser minigun, 12 barrels, twin shaped energy charge launchers, and a gravity manipulation projector, capable of creating gravity wells powerful enough to rip apart or crush an armored car. The pilot sits in a very small Noursai system, and pilots the craft using a modified version of the system used to pilot Aralian ships.

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Main Battle Golem: The main foot soldiers of the Sons of Plunder, the Battle Golems are created using various materials in abundance wherever the Sons are, using a small artificial Weave and psionics to form, power, and breathe life into, the soldiers. Armed with whatever's nearby, the golems are able to use psionics to shape metal into swords or guns/ammo. Their eyes are formed from lenses made of curinote crystal, producing an AAM field powerful enough to keep them alive while under an AM/IAM field.

Squad Commander Golem: These magical/psionic constructs are made from specially-treated stone, granting them the durability of steel and the flexibility of skin. Running off of an average-size artificial Weave, the Commanders can use Sierrensa techniques to alter their arms and hands, creating psionic variants of the LIPC weapon, standard hands, slings to launch various objects with, etc. If they are the last of their squad, which they usually are, the 'veins' on their bodies will progressively start glowing brighter and brighter. Once the light is at a certain brightness, they will charge their enemies and violently self-destruct.

Assassin Devil: Powerful black-ops constructs that minimize every facet of detection they can. They give off no magic or energy signatures during normal operation, and they can fade into translucency, enabling them to hide in shadows quite easily. Using practiced techniques to move silently to their target and take them out. They can use psionics to form daggers, longswords, and sniper rifles with ammo.

Siege Golems: Massive constructs wielding highly-enchanted scimitars, the siege golems are only deployed for high-value targets and/or armored installation infiltration. Their swords are tempered hull alloys, coated with barriers to aid in keeping their edge. The second layer of barriers is a self-reforming detachable warping spell, which detaches from the first layer of barriers to visibly eat away at the cut object. Stand roughly 40 feet tall and can pick up most variants of main battle tanks.

Empath Unmanned Fighter: Piloted by a powerful magical/psionic construct hybrid, the Empath is the main fighter in the Sons of Plunder fleet. Using one turbolaser and one ballistics minigun, the Empath's strength lies in its maneuverability. Capable of making 180 degree turns in ten feet, Empaths are extremely difficult ships to hit. Utilizes a powerful AAM field to protect the construct pilot. The inside layer of the ship's armor is designed to rebound the AAM field, causing it to fit to the interior of the ship. Can dock two microdrones due to the lack of a life-support system.

Temporum Corvette: The powerhouse of the Plunder fleet, Temporums are armed with four laser miniguns to support its specialty weapons. The Temporum bring into battle the miniaturized Moa Intellimissiles, shrunk down to the size of a Sidewinder ATA missile. Loaded into six-barreled minigun-style launchers, each of the five launchers is capable of firing two missiles a second, creating an overall payload of ten missiles every second, in addition to the laser miniguns. Can be either manned, or piloted with magical/psionic hybrid constructs, protected by a powerful AAM field. The inside layer of the ship's armor is designed to rebound the AAM field, causing it to fit to the interior of the ship. Cannot dock anything because most of the room is used up by ammo reserves.

Clypeus Shield Frigate: Manually piloted, the Clypeus can use its specialty shield generator to create a shield wall capable of blocking off enemy weapons fire. Armed with standard Moa launchers and numerous ballistics miniguns, the Clypeus' main focus is defending the larger allies. Can dock up to six Temporums externally, and ten fighters internally.

Inmanitatis Capital: Roughly the size of Texas and New England together, the Inmanitatis are massively armed capital ships incorporating Saraton miniguns, Microdrone hives, Moa miniguns, and a large Saraton beam cannon in the bow. Capable of fielding enough microdrones to swarm a particularly large frigate in addition to its under-fin external docks for Clypeus frigates.

Sons of Plunder Mueratos:

Through studying the various medical databases included in the information stolen from the Aralangs by Hikaru Tyris, the Sons of Plunder have been able to revamp the original Mueratos project using Saraton and psionic techniques.

Cordis: A massively dangerous pathogen, Cordis affects the heart alone. It is a large pathogen, scarab-like in appearance. Any attempt at all to forcefully pull it from the organ will result in the detonation of docile Saraton cords laced into the walls of the heart, completely shredding it and cauterizing the edges of the wounds, preventing natural healing. Cordis first creates a membrane from a specialized compound similar to Curicite, which leeches energy from the blood in the heart to fuel itself through a psionic construct tied to the organism. Beyond the weakening affect of the membrane, Cordis is not inherently deadly in this stage. Should removal be attempted, it will promptly burrow itself into the heart or surrounding tissues. If location is attempted, it will pop out and induce over fifty tumors in a random path within moments by utilizing another psionic construct to reform the DNA within the cells. These tumors WILL be highly malignant if Cordis is removed before the tumors are. Finally, Cordis will issue a sort of EMP pulse, knocking out most surgical equipment and causing every tumor still present to explode, tearing apart the flesh and causing massive bleeding.

Obsidio: Looking like a four leaf clover with an eye in the center, Obsidio is one of the more insidious Mueratos strains, but by far not the most deadly. The 'leaves' release a saraton-laced gas that acts as a powerful anesthetic, very quickly knocking the victim unconscious. If not drained by the time the host is knocked out, the gas will start to corrode the living flesh, cauterizing it before disintegrating it. Obsidio will then eat the remnants of the living flesh. If removal is attempted, Obsidio will use the claws underneath the eye to slice open large lacerations in whatever is within five inches of the main body. If the eye is exposed, it will fire off a very small saraton laser-like beam in self-defense.

Mortua Deus: The final strain. The base organism was discovered outside the Dimensional Plane. It was named Mortua Deus due to it's visual likeness to a murdered deity in Relorian mythology. Starting as a subatomic living particle, it invades the victim through any means possible. Oral ingestion, through the skin, respiratory inhalation, absorption through mucus membranes such as the eyes or inner ears. Anything it can use to get inside the body. Once there, it buries itself into the heart. Leeching massive percentages of the energy carried by the blood in any nearby arteries or blood vessels, including the heart itself, Mortua Deus completely takes the heart over. It reforms the heart's surface to form a bulge holding a large eyeball. Once the eyeball is fully grown, it will start stealing nutrients from the surrounding tissue, making sure not to take so much that it kills the host. It uses these nutrients to produce every single strain of Mueratos pathogens, turning the host into a living, bioterrorism time bomb. Once no more nutrients can be gathered, it uses psionics to turn the body's fluids into volatile explosive chemicals. Finally, the subatomic core leaves the body, while the eyeball shields the produced Mueratos strains. These shields produce sparks for the first quarter second of their existence, which ignites the host's bodily fluids and detonates the body.

All of the new strains, and any of the older strains produced by Mortua Deus, benefit from the medical information regarding conventional Aralangs, allowing them to survive despite the Aralian immune system. Out of all of them, though this isn't actually known to the Relorians, only Mortua Deus can actually kill the more powerful of the Elites. The others will severely debilitate them, however, often rendering them completely useless in a battle or as pilots until the pathogen is dealt with.

I'm retracting my approval on Mortua Deus. I don't know what I was doing or thinking of when I approved that thing. Able to kill Elites? No. Elite Energy can protect their hosts very well. One primary ability they can do is adapt.

As you can seee from reading the early half of the first paragraph on the Mortua Deus, it is also quite adaptive. Mortua Deus is designed to emulate the fallen Relorian deity Arianos, the Shaper of All. Their beliefs is that the Gnostic god, which we do use in the board's mythology, is Arianos, a full out god who was a victim of deicide, and who's corpse now forms the Gnostic god. Should too many spirits be snuffed out completely and return to him, or too many Subgrounded become Ingrounded, he'll awaken from his death and wipe everything clean, inside existence or out, return it all to Nothing, then start from scratch. While only Destruction and Arianos would be able to return something to Nothing, the Mortua Deus emulates this by using psionics to modify the bodily fluids, including the cytoplasm inside the organism's cells, as well as have the versatility to adapt when required.

Saraton Energy can be taken as the technological energy of destruction, and I mean it by THE technological energy of destruction. Elite Energy is basically the opposite of that, as it is Saraton's brother/cousin/however two inanimate objects are related, which is basically THE technological energy of creation. Plus, Elite Aralangs are very rare to find, compared to normal Aralangs.

Just because they're rare doesn't mean they can't be killed by a pathogen modeled after a god. And while, yes, Elite Energy is the technological energy of creation, Psi is the non-sentient energy of both. So, that argument is rather irrelevant.

Saraton and Elite Energy are closer to existence than Psi, making it more directly related to existence, and is therefore stronger.

Yes, it's modeled after a god, but here's the problem. It's a MYTH. They've got it wrong. Plus, it's not modeled by Arianos himself. It's just a mere representation of him, or a tribute to him. What I meant by rare is that, it's so damn powerful, that in order to be fair with the RP, I have to strictly limit it.
