Why? This. I didn't purposefully intend to read this, I was going through the saved .sql file from when the chatbox was wiped to try to restore space. (The backup basically.) Was looking for a certain log that wasn't a whisper and read into things I didn't intend. But even then, the damage is done.

The shortened version?

Certain people here. K2, KOL, Nisorin, Orph and whoever else is involved, want to end SP. Plex to be it's ending. End the trilogy basically. OK, GE, and SP. With a new RP, new board. For all of those that have made our characters? That means they get an end whether they like it or not, because the masters RPers of the RP would gradually fade out of the picture, RP less, come on less, till finally the RP would die from inactivity and be killed without an actual slaughter to where anyone could protest YOU KILLED IT.

The perfect plan to kill the RP without 'rebellion.' As I am doing now.
But that's not fair to those that still want their characters to go on, the RP to go on. Is it fair to the characters to have an ending when their RPers can still continue their story and WANT to continue?

Is it fair to do an ending when the RP can still prosper? And the RPers are just giving up on it?
I don't want it to end. But if that's what's going to happen, then fuck it. I'm not participating in the ending. My characters won't have an ending, because I'm not RPing the ending.

No, you're not, and no please don't. Hikaru only read a small portion of the various chats on the matter, and thus is basing this off of not only outdated, but incomplete information. We don't intend for Shattered Planes to die, and while K2323 and UnStellar plan on eventually leaving, I do not.

Yes, we are making a new board with a new rp. No, it's not going to be another Empire Building rp or whatever. No, it's not meant to compete with SP. Not from what I'm trying to do, at any rate.

SP could be great, but there's too much that needs to be fixed for that to happen in a reasonable amount of time, and no one wants to acknowledge/fix those problems but me. I can't do it alone.

You guys wanna help? Don't quit. Don't overreact to incomplete information. Start being more reasonable with each other. The drama has to stop before any real work can begin.

Wow... So much drama. This could almost qualify for politics. But on the flip side.... The members need to have access to all the information that would possibly ruin us. We have been kept in the dark for a little too long, considering all thats happened in the last 7 or so months.
At the very least we need to get more info, and considering that the most we've gotten is rants and rumours, its not saying much.

Those chat logs were taken at a time when SP was at it's worse. The chatbox was freaking out, Orph, Taylor, Hik, and sometimes Lauren ALWAYS seemed to have some argument or another, and I, personally, was in a creative slump and bored with be RP.

I felt for sure SP was going to die soon. So, me, Nis, and K2 started making plans of our own forum. We wanted something ORIGINAL, something that WASN'T a SP ripoff. I know Nisorin never planned on leaving.  At the time of most of the chat Hikaru posted, (which she cut up, those aren't complete) I was certain I was going to leave because I was sick of it. I can't speak for Nis and K2. And, understand, when we said we would leave, I was going to do it discreetly. I killed off/concluded my characters, and once the board got running, I would just phase out activity.

Around the time we started our chat off-board, because we knew Hikaru could read the logs, is when our approach started changing. SP was getting better, things were looking up, and I now don't really know if I'm going to leave.

In conclusion, don't freak out. We're not going to blow up the entire world, in fact, SP's still gonna be around a while.

And Zak... This isn't drama. We're not ruining you, and you shouldn't have access to this because it was PRIVATE information. But I understand Hikaru posting the logs. You haven't been kept in the dark. And we just laid down all the facts...

I'd like to first off explain that at the time of that chat my opinion was based off of public opinion and did eventually change when people got over the drama and as we moved off site. At the time Orph and others were expressing disinterest in SP, and it was getting to a point where the game was unmanageable. The new board was initially going to be a replacement of SP. The point in keeping it secret was to avoid accusations such as those mentioned here and to ease the transition.

Of course, Nisorin did want to stay on the board after awhile. I later decided to stay until after Plex and then leave it in Nisorin's hands. The concept of our new board has advanced so much since the day that chat was held. We decided not to move forth with our original plans. Instead, we decided to make the board a sort of sister forum to SP.

I'll post up some logs of the more recent chat when I get home and can access my documents. It was all talk then. It's action now. Rest assured that Shattered Planes will not be shutting down, we intend to fully support the RP in the future, and as of a week ago, our new project has officially started construction. It will not be a replacement -- nothing could replace this plot. It will be a new legacy.

If you have any concerns, we'd love to hear them. I am sorry that you all had to find out about this exciting project in such a negative way. We hope you'll all join in a few months when our new RP forum opens. Now that the plans are public, we may or may not release some details of the plot ahead of schedule.

I find this amusing but yet you don't seem to realize that I can change, and I have slightly, but you seem to refuse to acknowledge it. So thank you, Nisorin AND Kaleb, for talking about me. I appreciate it.

As can be seen from that chatlog, we planned to keep the RP open for months after the opening of NovoVerus. After that, to quote Nisorin:

Shattered Planes is not going to die. Shattered Planes is not going to fade out by the actions of K2323, UnStellar, or myself.

Yes, it is true that we talked about fading SP out. However, that was during some of the most drama-laden portions of this board's history, even I had my doubts the board would survive it, with or without the actions of myself, K2323 or UnStellar. As the board began to calm down, we began to re-evaluate that decision. I decided that, with or without the help of anyone here, I'd keep the board going. I'd stay as management until I found someone I personally believe can keep the peace without pulling the place into martial law.

Even then, I'd still RP here.

I have characters here. Yes, I'd like to give them and my empire proper closure, but NOT because the board is dying, or going to die. I want to give them closure and an end to their respective stories because I believe that is what they would want to do for themselves.


I will reiterate, for those who did not read, or refuse to understand.

Shattered Planes is not going to die by the actions of K2323, UnStellar, or myself. We are not going to attempt to fade it out entirely or at all. K2323 and/or UnStellar may want to fade out their characters, but that is all.

I really wish you guys would start acting maturely about this, rather than jumping to conclusions and freaking out. You want to say we're lying? Fine. You'll only freak yourself out even more over something that's not even true.

It doesn't matter if you're doing it now or not. Of course you won't if it's disclosed. It's the fact that you actually thought about doing it to begin with! Just because you predicted the forum had too much drama and was going to die, so? That doesn't mean to give up on it and plan to kill it faster. I don't care what's happening now. But K2, to even go that far in plans the first day, IS FUCKING MESSED UP TO THE MAX!

Four years on an RP and you'd just kill it! Even when people were still RPing in between the drama. And don't say they weren't, the logs show RP notifications as much as they do the drama fights.

Also? Novo Verus. That won't last. We've done RPs in the past. Without being a Nation Builder DBZ type RP that carries its self. I give it about 1-2 months before that dies once its opened.
