Many of you already know about a project separate of SP which three of us are working on. Based on early chat logs you've all got the wrong idea of what our project's about. I want to clarify some things and assure you that Shattered Planes isn't closing. We had no plans to close Shattered Planes. We talked about the idea but decided within a few days that we would not take that course of action.
The situation.
A few weeks ago, Shattered Planes was at the worst point its ever been at. Low member count, low posts, complex plot, divided staff, and... Drama. You couldn't get on SP's chatbox without seeing a fight. After trying to break up the drama and unite our staff, a few of us began to loose hope. We started to talk about quitting Shattered Planes.
A idea spun off from that sorrowful thought. What better way to fix SP then to start all over -- go back to the drawing board? Nisorin, UnStellar, and I talked about this idea. Creating a new board. Quietly phasing activity to this new board to keep the userbase together and yet to fix some of the problems of SP. We quickly decided that this was not the best course of action for us to take and that the members wouldn't be happy if we closed down SP.
We decided to create a new forum separate from SP. Nisorin and I (and maybe UnStellar?) would stay on the board. I would be leaving after the event known as Plex, but Nisorin would remain in charge here. We'd allow the two boards to co-exist. Once we were on the same page and had an idea of what we needed to do, we began to work on a plot. While that board is still in development, we're proud of what we've accomplished so far.
To clarify:
We're not shutting down SP.
We don't 'hate' SP.
We're not conspirators.
Yes, the project was a secret. We didn't want to announce anything at the time and we were holding off announcing the project for a good month or so.
Any concerns can be posted in this topic. We want to hear what you have to say.
Also, about Novo Verus. What we can tell you so far is that it will take place on a planet not much different than our own. It will be mainly Fantasy based. It's been designed based off of interests of the members here and different things we've learned as administrators here. We're confident that those of you who join this forum will enjoy it.
