A Port in the Storms of War...
« on: October 22, 2010, 01:43:52 AM »
The Dark Heart touched down on Ash Island. They hadn't known about this island on the planet earth ever before, but they spotted it, and decided it'd be as good as any to build their own base upon. They couldn't keep going in a ship forever, barely making it when they went from one place to another to get new parts or whatever they needed. Plus, they needed a place they knew they could live at...And what better than Earth, the home of all but Flora? After it touched down, almost everyone but Flora got out and took out all their supplies. Flora stayed inside the Dark Heart, keeping the systems running along with the VI, Alycia((...whom I really really need to mention more often...considering it could be thought of as the personification of the Dark Heart's current state...)). While she didn't partake to the Archive personnel, due to what they did immediately after her rescue from the Anrufe, she had bonded well with the VI. She read the readings from the data setup. "Strange...Am I misreading this, Alycia?"
"I doubt it. This states that there is, indeed, a high power magical signature on this planet...Possibly more than one."
"Strange...Very strange..."

---------------

Hiro was outside, helping the effort to build the base. "Wow...Its been a long time since we were last on Earth...I miss this place. I wonder if our families are still alive...?"
"Likely yes. Its been a few years, but not enough time for them to have all died. Though, if they were caught up in that war, then there is a chance they might not have survived..."
"Yeah...Im gonna need to check that out for myself. Im sure everyone'll go with us...But, I appreciate the effort to cheer me up, even if you had to go and be all realistic about it, Masamune." Hiro said, chuckling.
"I live to aid, my friend."
"Well, doesn't matter yet. We need to finish this place up. The Dark Universe base...Has a nice ring to it, dont you think?"
OOC:Foreshadowing...Yes...Delicious foreshadowing...Also, since I know Legion's gonna come(or at least really certain), do remember that the Mercs are all from Earth, except Flora, so...Yeah...

OOC:Long overdue post signaling this is mine due to me not being able to get on. Since I am now...Well...MINE! So yeah, three day rule...Even though its been closer to three weeks or something...

The base was finished, and so the Mercs, having no trouble, decided to relax a bit. They worked on furnishing the base a bit, and chose rooms. This would be their home aside from the Dark Heart, after all, so they'd need rooms of their own, which had been made. So, they now owned this island.
