Beating Wings Spreading Change
« on: November 02, 2010, 08:09:43 PM »
The Lertis' teleportation plants them right in the middle of where the Arena once was. Noting the changes, massive as they are, with quite a great deal of surprise, they spot the city and head straight for it, wings beating hard against Hell's atmosphere as a strange magic flows from their bodies, seeming to consume the hostile atmosphere and replace it with something almost inviting. Hand in hand they soar over the metropolis, beelining for the center as they scan the area for Lucifer.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

The two scowl as they redirect their search, seeking instead for Lucifer's right-hand-demon, Sakael.

The city on the floating island seemed to shine in one area in particular, reflecting light brightly. The area was the top of a building.

They soar over the area, taking a precautionary look before deciding upon further action.

A round orb much like the one Akylos had given Nisorin seemed to stand out.

They trade glances between each other and the orb, before slowly circling down, like a pair of elegant carrion-birds. They hover on either side of the roof, examining the sphere from afar, casting spell after spell to discern its purpose, abilities, etc.

The spell seemed to be outputting a steady flow of negative energy throughout the island, keeping it floating.

"Seems this is the core of the island. Rather bad place for it, to be honest. But, take control of this, you take control of the fate of the entire island." Celestie muses aloud, before finally landing on the roof and walking to within five steps of the sphere, Nisorin joining her at her side.

"There's got to be some sort of trick or catch, a trap perhaps. The placement is too inadequate."

As soon as they got within a seven-foot radius to the orb, the magic signature of the two was logged.

((lol, they're both like, 12 feet tall dude. Each step of theirs would be a good foot and a half, mebbe two feet long. They're still plenty far enough away. =] ))

They trade glances, then untie the sheaths of their weapons from their hips. Laying their weapons to the roof, they begin unstrapping their armor as well, allowing it to join the swords, piece by piece. A strange wind picks up, circling the two even as their legs straighten, causing them to stand at full height. The twelve foot tall winged mages spread their arms open wide, as if bracing to embrace the orb, and indeed, the entirety of Hell with it. Together, their voices ring out over the waters, sounding through the Never Ending Stair, echoing through the walls of the Palace, and stinging at the ears of the demons still left. Their words, filled with a sort of graceful power, cause the clouds and sky to open wide, revealing a night sky filled with countless stars, shining spirits of red, white, gold, blue and green.

"Together, upon this once broken place we stand,
Arms wide in kindness unknown to the lone spirit
That curls deep within this land pained."

Their magic bursts outwards, carrying Nisorin to stand on the other side of the orb, ever staying five steps from its surface as his feet touch softly on the roof. Engulfing the radiant silver sphere of negativity, the magic mixes in with its own, slowly neutralizing the negativity through the addition of a curiously neutral energy, neither positive nor negative, light nor dark. From every spot their magic touches, the silver is slowly pushed away, replacing it with clear neutrality.

In response, the orb seemed to launch some sort of magical hologram. Before the two was a picture of a beautiful woman, clad nude except for a thin... dress. Made of water. This woman looked up at the two before her, the hologram replaying a message she'd been programmed to say in some ancient language.

"Wesal Lozoc Embodimentes. Iyo zooc agua... Civis de Isle A Embodimente."

The couple glances quickly at the hologram, before deciding to completely ignore it and focus, once more, on the task at hand. Their song echoes out underneath the surface of the great sea covering the dimension, calming the waters and its undercurrents even as the stars shine brighter.

"The gleaming stars all about the shining moon
Strive to reveal those who would imprison this place.
Forces abound corrupting their purpose are brought to judgment."

The first to respond, Animas, Embodiments of Love and Guardianship, teleports in to find themselves enclosed in a cage of barriers, preventing attempts at departing once more. "So it begins, does it? Fine. To be honest, it is about time we Embodiments are called out on our fouls."

"What better place to meet then the city we created, eh?"

The voice was that of Fatet -- the body of K2323 -- who now arrived on the island, glaring at those before him. He now spoke again, his voice that of a female -- the original dialect of Fatet. "My, it's been quite awhile since I was last here." The body of "K2323" began to shift into Fatet's preferred form, a lovely, young woman. "I always did wonder what happened to our city. The City Of Embodiments. I guess it was right here where we left it this whole time."

Fatet picked up the form of the hologram, the embodiment of water's photograph repeating its message over and over in her hand. "Sleep now, young one. You no longer must guard this city."

The hologram faded away.

The couple raises their hands to the stars, even as Animas tries to step up to Fatet, temporarily forgetting the cage. "We've betrayed our purpose, Fate. Damn near all the Embodiments are to be judged, even Creation and Destruction. Time to give it up." They say, their twin voices seeming rather unworried. "Time to get this place back on track, don't you think? These constant wars are getting old."

"With chariot yoked to thy fleet-winged coursers,
The tiniest of life seeks its victory.
And so, those who create this Life rise up!"

The two Relorians call out, a sudden cascade of ocean water rising up to engulf the island and rise over the roof like a massive cage even as the barriers rise out to enclose Fatet as well. The silver orb once again starts to clear, this time with what seems like a cable stretching out from the bottom of it to reach down into the core of the dimension, turning the once-silver orb into a sort of interface.

"Seems these fools think they have the right to bring about that change, though," Fatet said. A purple haze began to surround the barrier which was enclosing around him, eating at its very essence. The water that rose found itself entering a portal which outputted right back below in the ocean. The cable which reached out from the bottom of the silver orb found itself being cut by a sword made of purple haze. The voice of Fatet boomed out,

"COWARDS! YOU DARE ATTACK US BLIND WITHOUT USING WORDS FIRST! TO ENCAGE US! YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN THOSE ARALANGS YOU FIGHT!"

Fatet looked over to Animas. "Forgive me for what I'm about to do, my old friends... But now is not the time for our power to be attacked, for our status to be denied or replaced. What approaches, I fear, will require a unified embodiment order, yes... But that order of embodiments can not be united. The solution is not our encaging. Those of us who are loyal to the place we created must unify Destruction and Creation. Then, we will turn to those embodiments who have turned. Who have rebelled. We will turn to those who support Plex... And we will crush THEM. But we can not be crushed... For all that is good and true, we can not be crushed. Not now, not ever. Come with me, Animas. We must go to those below and talk with them about this... After all... All we do is useless without the support of those who we are protecting. Perhaps it's time we remember what this city we stand in was meant to be...

"A place for embodiments and those who are alive to live in union. We never got to see our dream through after the sealing of Destruction. Could it be a more fitting time and place? For the living and the embodiments to meet in this city? And for that meeting to discuss the unifying of Destruction and Creation? And not just that, but for a discussion about our unification.. Against a darkness born from those living. I made a promise to my husban- ... To Wisdom. Back when he was around... I told him that I would make sure that the darkness did not consume those who we helped create. Now, I must fulfill that promise. But I can't do it alone. Will you help me, dear friends?"

Animas looks long and hard at Fatet, their eyes narrowed, both in suspicion and in thought. "We have long lived with those you consider beneath us, Fatet. This war will only serve to fuel their mistrust for us and our powers. We have committed our crimes, and we believe it fitting that these Sons of Plunder are the ones to judge us. Their cages are a precautionary spell that we implanted when we first taught them of the Orias. They are merely the hand, we are the ones who called for this judgment. And should an Embodiment brought here try to rebel, to escape their judgment, we will aid these two in their pacification. They are lost in their spellwork, unable to speak anything but the words of power that are part of the ritual. Our actions are bringing out the end of this place, and we have grown to enjoy this world of the Mortals far too much to allow that." They reply, staring straight into Fate's eyes as if judging her already.

Fatet looked straight at Animas and said only one thing...

"I'm opening the door."

The heights of the building which the duo stood atop of seemed to be nothing in comparison to what came next. The very space around the island seemed to be distorted. The island was being absorbed... By a giant doorway on the floor of the ocean miles below them. But that wasn't even the most extraordinary part of this all. The waves had literally parted ways when the doorway appeared. The ocean opened up around the door, exposing it to the open air. The island was about to travel through the passage of open water now.

And all Fatet could do was smile.

A portal appeared as Kai stepped out of it "Why the hell is he here? He knows what he's supposed to be doing, and he's here? REALLY?" he looked around surprised to not see sakael or lucifer he merely noticed that it was a lot more barren than normal as he began walking to find his brother. "I wonder where he is down here." he thought to himself trying to pick up his energy better.

Animas sighs, looking to the Lertises with a sorrowful expression. "We'll not return from that Gate, I'm afraid. It is beyond even our power. It is time to commence Judgement elsewhere. Leave Fatet to die. The Opening is a thing deserving naught less." They explain, poking the cage, which Nisorin promptly dispels.

"This is not over, Fatet. You and your kind WILL be judged. It is far past time you stop ignoring your duties. The tables have been shifted for far too long." Celestie calls out, glancing up at the new signature before taking Nisorin's hand.

"You will not be allowed to escape. If we cannot complete our goal, our compatriots will. Should they fail, more will rise up. Now, fall into Oblivion, and may you never return." Nisorin finishes, grabbing onto Animas' shoulder before they both teleport away.

"Sir..."

K2323 was a busy man. Sages didn't usually need much sleep, but when they DID need sleep, they were hard to wake up. So, here K2323 sat, sound asleep in his meeting room, head on his table. Snoring. Those who worked for him were hesitant to wake him up out of fear for how he might react. They drew straws on who'd get the honors.

"Um... Sir... Wake up, please..."

"PENGUINS!"

K2323 was awake. He looked around the room at the stunned faces of his men who simply blinked at his random outburst.

"Sorry, bad dream."

"Sir, we have reason to believe that Hikaru is planning an attack on Japan."

"Great, what else is happening?"

"Sir, you're not worried?"

"Why would I be?"

"Uh... Well... We have reason to believe that she's going to attack the pocket dimension that holds Japan and attack the island itself."

"Oh... I see..." K2323 was silent for a good moment or two. "Then we'll just have to install a warning device into Japan itself. That way, I'll know if it's being attacked."

"Sir... that's... uh... Crazy."

"Yes. Yes, it is. We'll be glad we did it someday, though. It's our fate... To be strong."

Everything stopped. The door, fabricated by Fatet to be linked to the door in the Realm Of Existence, stopped. The island stopped. There was silence in the air... And then, a pain like no other hit Fatet, and the embodiment dropped to her knees. Her form began to change... Back into the form of K2323's body.

And then, the embodiment was instantly teleported away with incredible force... To Japan.

OOC: Fatet teleported away to Japae.
