Interesting Place to Infect
« on: November 10, 2010, 04:03:46 AM »
A portal opened up, and a ship came through. It was massive, a titan, in fact. It looked exactly the same as the Sajuuk the Aralangs had, yet, it wasn't the same. This one was the infected version of the Aralang Sajuuk. It was the Subverter.

As soon as it went through the portal, it was ready for combat -- and infection. IAM, AT, AP, and AB fields were emitted. The Virus reproduced itself and spread throughout pocket dimension. It shot its power plasma turrets and secondary beams at the enemy defenses. At the same time, it charged up its main cannons and fired. It was an extremely fast charge for the ship, and the answer is what it has fired. Instead of firing Saraton Energy, it had fired the Virus. Huge beams of infection was fired, where it extremely spread faster than normal. The Virus is all over the place at this point.

Atop the massive ship, Kurai flew above it, laughing as she held her hands above her, the portal being from her magic, which was encased in spirit energy. They were now taking Japae, or as it was once called Japan. Once home to the great K2323, the brother of Kurai's original, Hikaru Tyris. If anywhere was perfect to take, it was this place. Half-breed sages, of sage and human, books on magic, and a history of bloodshed and violence between the Sage Three, Japae held it all. And before anyone else had the opportunity of taking the great dimension, especially Hikaru, who's very fights in the past were over the once mighty kingdom; Kurai would see to it that the civilians saw darkness like they never saw before.

Hovering, Kurai ducked down and flew over the dimension, circling it as negative spirit energy rained down in her wake. The Black Hole that had protected the dimension, was long ago dealt with, as all Kurai had to really do was plug it up with a white hole in front of it. Now between the both of them, whatever got trapped in the center of that mess, would be on an eternal loop.

The fields were even more useless than the black hole, encase anything in spirit energy, and it may as well have been a question as to 'what fields?'

""Come out, come out, wherever you are, mousy." Kurai cooed in her own twisted sense of humor as she landed to the streets of Japae. Her great wings opened to their full wingspan, and her black sleeveless robe; which strangely seemed to have gotten shorter between the last takeover and now, as it cut off just below her hips, exposing her undergarments; blew in the wind that was created from just the mere presence of the Negi."I won't kill you. I just want to play."

Hmm. How did she manage to bypass the defenses that had been set up so cleverly? If she was that powerful she must be related to the sage three by some means. But yet how could someone who looked like that be related? Hiding a blush Lord Montreal steeled himself against emotion for the time being and while it may hinder his fist techniques, he need not use those at the moment. Most of  the civillians had already been moved out of here as had the K-Archive. But he had mindwiped himself of that fact as well as the soldiers with him so that no information gathering torture or otherwise could be done.

Defense of this place would prove to be important and so a signal was sent out. A magical pulse that would be detectable even by the Aralangs. A pulse that said one of your ships has gone haywire, come help us. If she wanted to play he would oblige her but not in the expected way. Telepathically he told his men what to do and they all opened fire, hundreds of powered anti magic bullets, missiles and energy discs all headed towards her at once. AM lasers also came towards her to hit her.

"Still want to play??" His voice echoed with a voice amplification spell.

Drawn by the massive, sudden burst of magic, the spirits beheld the abomination that is Kurai. Many swarm her, countering her own negative spirit energy attacks with their energy, while others, the fastest of the group, flee to inform their Oath-Bound brothers and sisters amongst the Shamai.

The small army of spirits take strength from Japan, a dimension long-since become a place of power through the myriad of wars and powerful magical research. For once heedless of the Great Beast, they construct one single, powerful web of spirit energy about Kurai. Her own attacks get caught by the web, filtered as they leave it, stripping much of the negativity from them as the web tightens about her like a noose far too large.

The war for Japan had begun.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

The Japanese Civilian Defense Force assisted the Relorians in creating a web of spirit energy around Kurai.

Since nothing bothered to protect itself against the Virus, any and all unprotected biological and mechanical matter has been infected. That means all of the defenses of Japan. There was a lot of screaming, pain, and agony during the infection. The Virus infected their bodies, and eventually their mind. Why didn't they defend themselves before all this happened? Maybe they didn't realize what was going on? It didn't matter. They were infected anyway. The defenses recovered from the pain and the mechanical parts of the defense was being repaired by the damage done by the Subverter.

The Japanese defenses turned on the spirits, proving their defection. They stopped creating the web around Kurai. They split open the web and turned it inside-out, and surrounded the spirits, trapping them.

The Subverter's secondary beams and plasma turrets shot at the spirits. The secondary beam's supreme accuracy over the plasma made it a better weapon for shooting at small agile targets. The plasma served a dual purpose: to take down the spirits, and to heat up the place by a lot. Kurai would then be able to use the heat to her own advantage. As this was from a titan, the plasma would be pretty damn hot, which would fill the area full of extreme heat.

Casting a simple spell Lord Montreal purged the infection of the  Garelang Virus from his body. How he did this was make his immune system able to use his own magical energy, thus allowing it to destroy the Garelang virus inside of him. Once that was done he teleported away.

But the Virus was all around him. If he got rid of the infection, it was just filled in by the surrounding disease that occupied the air. In other words, no machine or living being was safe, with the exception of Kurai. The Virus adapted to the magical energy and it got quickly harder to kill it with it. Therefore, it had more time to infect, and infect, it did. It infected his body, and then infected his mind. He couldn't teleport away, because there was a massive AT field around the entire area.

He used his magic to obliterate himself, and everything around him.

(Oh, right... forgot about the IAM field...)

Unfortunately, there was a massive IAM field, too, which also filled the entire area. Thus, he was unable to destroy himself. Due to complete failure of trying to stop the Virus, the Virus has successfully taken over Lord Montreal, subverting him. He then helped in trapping the spirits with the web they created.

The reason why the Japanese mages were able to use SE was because they were infected by the Garelang Virus, which knew about the technique of wrapping Spirit Energy around magic to protect it from any AM and IAM fields.

(The Virus would infect those, too, and deactivate them until the infection process is complete.)

Suddenly, without any warning, the Virus attacked and infected Kurai. The disease gashed open cuts and holes, which allowed easy access into the body, and allowed quick infection. The area was filled with the Virus, so if she annihilates any part of the Virus inside her body, it would be quickly replaced by the airborne disease around her.
