((Set in this valley, during this eclipse.))

As the Eclipse sets, exploding in brilliant colors and spell circles, Dezzerae of the Eclipse appears amid the swirling colors, blades in her hands and a slightly insane, depressed expression across her face. "Oh beautfiul Eclipse, veil over the Stars and their blinding lights, guide to me an abomination, so that I may feed this insatiable hunger." She calls out, her voice echoing and distorting slightly as her hair fans out behind her. Floating high above the cavern, her face turns to one of joy as she feels her victim's arrival. "My my, such a twisted monstrosity, a perfect case of Man interfering with Nature." She raises her head, sniffing at the air before opening her mouth wide, and her serpentine tongue darting from her mouth, as if tasting the air. "Delectable, a feast I simply must partake of!"

((Edited to fix spelling error.))

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

The valley had one highly powerful magical signature in it currently but that was something that was about to change. His enemy was about to discover a new kind of foe that she had never fought before. Rumors he had listened to told him she was strong.

Well so too was he, as he had been created from the dna of his brothers and sisters by one of his brothers to serve as one of their more powerful guards and protectors. This woman he would have to eliminate from the equation. So she would have to be dealt with.

Without so much as a word as he was currently cloaked he held up his fist and portals opened all around her sending water her way. At the same time he used his magic to block escape through teleportation or shadow travel for her. But see the water was also immune to being redirected thanks to one of the enchantments he had placed upon it.

Of course if you allowed any enemy even the slightest mercy they would cause you problems later and so he would not allow her mercy.  At that he began to silently chant a spell and a creature appeared near her, a wolf of sorts. Except the fur and claws of the wolf and the teeth did not look normal. No this was not an ordinary wolf that he had summoned to attack her. This wolf was something that had been created as a prototype of the genetic experiments. It had immense speed and so it attacked her by attempting to bite her at immense levels of speed.

But also since it was a genetic experiment it did something. It made vines rise from the ground and began to entangle her at the feet, hopefully inhibiting  her movement.

She glances at the newcomer, ignoring the water completely due to the fact that she's a mage of massive power, and thus has near-complete control over her own body temperature and does not need to breathe. The annoying little pup is incinerated with barely a glance, bursting into a massive plume of fire, its flesh, vines, branches and leaves completely vaporized in the green flame, quickly spreading and burning the vines trying to grab at her to ash. She looks at him, looking almost disappointed as she floats above the pit. "How sad. I had thought you were much stronger than this, my delicious looking friend. A pity, perhaps you won't be quite as tasteful as I had thought." She calls out, her face twisting into aggravated, psychotic rage. "Now I'll just have to torch you like I did your pet!" She screams, completely disappearing even as a massive burst of magic explodes behind the abomination's back, blowing the nearby mountain wide open. All the while, a strange feeling envelopes the boy, as if something was trying to crawl into his head through his ears.

From the destroyed mountain a massive fountain of lava erupts, curving out and around Dezzerae as she funnels it into a massively dense ball about a foot in diameter. The lava, despite it's massively high temperature, hardens into a glowing red diamond, perfectly clear and reflecting the strange light of the eclipse.

Her attacks had only done a pitiful level of damage to him thus far. She was to be commended for even doing that amount of damage to his body. But still the fact remained she had damaged him and so she needed to be brought down fast. His wounds healing up thanks to the healing factor each Enhanced Narrikian possessed he now focused on attacking her. A heat resistant and lava proof barrier formed around him, that was formfitting and then he focused.

Energy began to gather in his hands and he began to shape that energy. What he was shaping it into was something he rarely used in battle but would now put to his own use in this battle. In short what he would be relying upon was his newest move that he had learned how to perform. Something unexpected that she could not predict would be headed towards her.

Strangely enough what went towards her was something that only regular humans or those who liked bullets used. Yes a hail of bullets went towards her but these weren't ordinary bullets by any means. No, these happened to be energy bullets that were headed towards her. Except slightly modified so that the moment they collided with any barrier they would explode with enough force to shatter said barrier.

"In the storms let the tide wash over us and provide healing for our broken and weary souls so that we may feel up to fighting once more."

With no light the advantage was his. Because there was no sunlight he changed his eyes with his own biological energy to function better at night than in the day allowing him to see what was going on around him.

At that it began to rain. But it was not normal rain this time it was raining. No it was rain designed to damage magic that was contained in the spirit. In short this rain would damage her sphere making her magic go out of control hopefully.

"You know I really hate you."  At that 7 gates opened and out came 7 warriors clad in various armors all of which looked powerful. All of them walked calmly towards her, appearing to be ancient relorians thanks to him casting the illusion around them of being ancient relorians.

What they did next was each one attacked with their weapon at her, seeming to be each a relorian of varying sphere. Yet what was the purpose for this attack that was being used upon her?

Chains erupted from the ground lit with a pulsating almost chaotic kind of energy that was not normal by any means. This energy was not what a sage would expect or any ancient relorian would be expecting by any means.

But to add insult to injury as well 7 more warriors walked out of each gate this time looking like ancient star clan and all of them fired blasts of energy at her. These were simple wooden dummies he had made and animated with his magic to attack her. Except the wood he had used was extremely magically resistant to fire type magics and to any normal fire as well.

Another hail of energy bullets was also released at her to strike her. They were moving faster than the first batch had. Vines grew, but they were fire resistant this time instead. The vines wrapped or at least tried to wrap around her legs.

Trees burst from the ground as well coming to life and trying to wrap their fire resistant branches around her arms to entangle her. Further they also shot seeds charged with energy at her that would explode the moment they hit.

Her diamond reshapes now, moving with an almost liquid grace as she shapes it into a hail of projectiles, each darting out to meet every single one of the boy's bullets and seeds, those aimed for the anti-barrier bullets coated in a barrier. Her eyes, already well adjusted to the darkness she spends so much of her life within, have no trouble peering through its shadows to find him. "Your hate is nothing compared to what I have battled, boy. Your petty little parlor tricks are naught but a pretty show." She says, the rain actually benefiting her by granting her use to more and more of her own power. The warriors, all 14 of them, are smashed by a sudden, 360 degree shockwave-like bubble bursting out from her body, quite literally tearing them apart at an atomic level, doing much the same to the rain above her head and the vines & trees beneath her, leaving a large circle of nothing around them, as if something simply teleported the matter somewhere else. "You are nothing compared to me, and so you will become my next meal." She calls out, crushing the remainder of the melted rock into another diamond, this one far smaller than the first.

With a mighty scream, the feeling in his head intensifies as the spell finally reaches his brain, unstopped. Now at its destination, the spell embeds itself irreparably in his mind, speaking to him as if the words were his own thoughts.

She's too strong for me! Everything I do is countered perfectly! There's not even a point in fighting her anymore!"

The shrapnel of metal and rocks that had hit him and was embedded had been dissolved. That of course happened the moment after the earlier explosion that had occurred. The minerals had been absorbed and used to heal the damage done along with his own biological energy and magic.

Now to deal with the perfect counter she had made wiping out all of his attacks easily. Something would have to be done about that and so the only thing he could do is fight back. One attack he would use now would first be to block that annoying voice in his head and so he put his hand on his head. Sealing all thoughts of discouragement for the moment, which included that thought he would now be able to focus better.

?It's game time.? Now he would no longer hold back against her since he had measured her and learned of her weakpoints. It was her voice that was a problem. So he made a barrier around himself that blocked any kind of vocal magic from affecting him.

Phase two of his attack would now commence and so he lifted his hand and then brought it down. Crushing gravity 30x that of a normal planet could be felt on her now. Further he fired crystalline bullets along with energy bullets and blasts of energy along with spheres at her. In addition to that he had something else planned as well. Emitting a high decibel sonic screech he hoped to make her ears bleed. It was done without the aid of magic but he could resist his own power.

To top all of that off he made 6 mannequins appear. Except these he had based off of a technique he had been shown by Zere namely the seal projectiles. All of them moved at her firing the seals. The seals were designed to eat alive anything they came in contact with that had only one kind of DNA. As he had more than one kind of DNA, it could not eat him alive.

((Well, you failed that test. Character Interaction and Characterization grades: D.))

As soon as she saw him taking the breath for the scream, Dezzerae lets her own out, the sound mixing together with his, the pitch causing the sounds to oscillate, distorting each other and thus, due to the psuedo-magical nature of the two combined, start distorting his seals as well. And since his barrier only covered himself, his seals were rendered effectively useless, their shape lost as they fell apart. Even the seal upon his own mind eroded, the sound's origin in his own powers allowing it to bypass his barrier. "Seals require shape, form. Remove that, and the seal is nothing." She reminds him, even as she forms her own barrier around herself, sphere-shaped and pressurized to resist the gravitational alterations. Instead, she widens the scale of his spell, the gravity massively increasing around the entire planet, pulling him violently to the ground, the remains of his little projectiles falling with him. The gravity only seems to aid her in creating another glowing, red diamond. Instead of shaping it into another weapon, she shapes it around herself instead.

The thin sheen of red covers her body, from her head to the tips of her toes, the tips of her wings to the very edge of her fingernails. With a quick spell, she'd analyzed the chemical makeup of the mannequins and decided the appropriate frequency. With another great breath, she holds her hand just below her chin, letting out a single, sung note that echoed about the planet. Similar to Tesla's oscillator, her voice quickly begins to cause the dolls to vibrate, tearing themselves apart.

Finally, after staying on the defensive for so long, her eyes narrow into near slits, and she disappears. The entire area fills with a red fog, the voices returning to the boy's mind. "She's out of my league!" "There's no chance!" "She'll devour me!" "My barrier's near useless!" Worse and worse they grow, getting louder and louder until they threaten to overpower all the rest of his thoughts. If he didn't do anything meaningful about it soon, he'd be hers to control as she wished, his mind shattered by it's own thoughts.

Now that her power in his mind was becoming a threat he concentrated even harder. Using his own energy and his magic he purged her voice completely from his mind. As for the gravity while it was crushing him he did a spell to stop the gravity from affecting him. More energies formed in his mind as a wall, a wall designed to keep out anything that could mess with his mind.

?Heh.?

Once he got up on his feet he began to sense around for her magical signature. What he would do is try and find her magic signature so that he could attack her magic signature. Also in addition to that there were a lot of tactics he could use. Sound would not be something he would use again. Sound had been a foolish tactic for him to use.

?Okay. If you want to play hardball!? He focused in his mind and and formed several layers of barriers. They would all keep her out of him for a long time. They were designed to block all sound with any magic. As for the red mist he formed an oxygen independency spell. Now he would not need to breathe. His barrier reformed pressurized to resist the gravity itself. Except now it was formfitting for him.

His next stage in battle would be to make sure she could not use her voice and so he cast a mute spell. What this spell would do is mute everyone in the area. Voices would not work and thus her sound based fighting style would not work on him. The red mist would be dissipated and so he concentrated. A strong wind began to blow pushing at the red mist.

Unfortunately, her spell was not meant to give her access to his mind. If that was the case, it would have been her voice sounding throughout his mind. Instead, it prayed on the tiniest bits of doubt and fear, amplifying them and causing the person's own mind to turn against itself. Because of this, his wall ejects his own mind, causing him to fall into a heavy coma. Now unable to act, he is naught more but prey to the red mist a it swarms his slumbering body, tearing at his very spirit and devouring its energy, using it to feed her own youth.

Within a few minutes the mist reforms, and Dezerrae, standing tall and strong, looking a good ten years younger, looks down at the pale, lifeless husk. "It was not as tasteful as I'd expected at first. A shame."
