Conquest
« on: December 22, 2010, 01:35:40 PM »
To invade a planet would require immense amounts of preparation. As a result of that, now was the time chosen by the Narrikians to invade a planet, specifically autumnvania. They would make this into one of their worlds, and it would serve as the home of their capital.  As it would serve as a capital they had sent a small fleet of 200 frigates, 20 corvettes and 5 capital ships to take this planet.

Fighters were deployed and began to attack all structures on the planet with machine guns. Fling Fighters were also deployed as were mechoids and other pieces of technology. Further an AM field was also erected to block the use of magic on the planet. An AT and AP field were also turned on as well, to cripple those means of escape.

Before the attack started, a ID Gate is opened, and out comes...The First Battalion. The Narrikan ships were in unscouted territory, though obviously in position to mount a offensive, and Gregory had decided to see what was going on, in case they were attacking WWB or something of that sort, of which they would need assistance. However, upon initial scans of the planet, its overall level of civilization was clearly not that high to be a space-faring one, much less a enemy. Curious, they decided to focus in directly on the planet, using not sensors, but instead actual visual displays, and found it to be a largely peaceful one, with a lot of cheer and festivity all around the planet. This information was reported directly to Gregory, who contemplated it for a moment, before issuing a single transmission to the Narrikan fleet:
With data acquired from scans of this planet, I have come to the conclusion that it is a extremely peaceful civilization, not to mention greatly underdeveloped. As such, any authorizations to lead a assault to conquer it are hereby revoked, and any attempt to continue with a attack will be considered an act of treason...And shall be dealt with accordingly.

?This is expansion. We are merely claiming this planet and shall allow the people to live out their lives. But since the arrival of that Ensign, we are taking more planets so that we will have more materials to deal with the problem of that ensign and his people so as not to have them conquer us.  Or blast us out of the Kalak where we currently are making an alliance.?  The reply was sent using a coded transmission to Gregory.

The ships and every land operative stopped for the moment, waiting for the reply Gregory would give. His reply would either end this invasion or allow them to continue.

Expansion and a full-fledged attack are different things. In any case, with this planet's level of development, the merest contact with a space-faring civilization would influence it greatly, and with how peaceful it is...In the long term, it may be wise to allow them to continue on their own. Who knows? They might eventually be the key to a everlasting peace, eventually, even if all of us are long gone by then.

The attack had never commenced as the Mechera had stopped them before they could beam anyone down, or emit Am or At or anything. Instead a crew was beamed down who would start to offer jobs to the populace.

The ships were still stopped by the First Battalion from beaming down the crew, for as soon as they readied the beaming, the weapons on the First Battalion were prepared for a battle, and the First Battalion turned into a battle position towards the Narrikan fleet, as a precaution. They were not fired upon yet, but if they continued to attempt to contact this planet, that did not even seem to have made it to the medieval stage or industrial stage of civilization, they would be attacked.

As I said, it would be best not to influence this planet with contact. I would think that it is fine to assume that they are content with their lives as they are now.

Zane who happened to be the commanding officer of the fleet realized the weapons were aimed at the Narrikian ships. So instead of replying Zane ordered. "Get those Hyperdrives working. Full speed to Duerme. We will reinforce the fleet there."  At that all the ships went into Hyperspace before the weapons would have a chance to fire.

And with that, a ID Gate was opened to bring the First Battalion back to their home dimension, though it didn't leave immediately...It stayed for a little while, juuuuust in case.
