Rescue Mission
« on: January 16, 2011, 04:34:30 AM »
Her brothers land. Hikaru sighed as she appeared in the outskirts of the dimension far from the city of Japae its self. Of all the times she had tried to take this land, here it was, easily available, and Hikaru didn't want it. No, for once, conquering wasn't the first thing on her mind when Hikaru teleported here. It wasn't even the last thing. She was here for one reason and one reason only. To find her brother.

Having heard about the fall of Destruction and Fate to the virus, Hikaru's first plan when free was to find her brother and free him. One of the Sage Three, taken by that thing? Hell no! Not in this decade! Koty, she may not care about as much at this point. But the Sage Three being infected? That was something that could not be allowed to happen.

"Stay here," Hikaru muttered to Inari who stood behind her in displacement field. "I'm going to see if I can find my brother, you keep a look out for Kurai. If I don't come back in a day, go to the Outerverse and try to find Celestie, got it?"

"But what if you get infected?" Inari whined.

"That thing? Infect me? Hah!" Hikaru laughed, "I can't be controlled." With that she flew off into the city following the lead she had on K2323s/Fatet's signature.

The city of Japae was very industrialized. It looked like one hell of a factory. It was producing ships, weapons, and everything needed for war. Even the underground was a factory. However, it was cloaked, so it was like all of this wasn't even there.

A Negator, AT, AP, and ASE field went around Inari. The Virus was all over the air, so it easily infected her. How did it detect the two? Mind signatures. Everyone and everything with a mind had them.

An Negator, AT, AP, and ASE field went around Hikaru, as well. And the Virus went ahead and attempted to infect her. Since the Virus was all over the place, as she was falling through the air, she was falling into the Virus.

However, this triggered the Elite Energy to react. It fought against the infection, while letting Hikaru know what's happening.

"U-u-uh who's there?" Inari stuttered feeling the magic disappear around her. Following her teachers example, Inari quickly called her Spirit Energy to wrap around her soul but found to her surprise she couldn't, after that she literally freaked. "Don't come near!" Inari stammered, "Mistress Hikaru said to keep an eye out!" Inari was easily infected and held no resistance as she only had half a mind to begin with, being air headed and all.

Hikaru on the other hand dropped like a rock when the fields surrounded her and became basically horrified when she found to her surprise that she couldn't encase her magic in Spirit Energy, hell she couldn't even form it in her hands. "What the hell?!" Hikaru growled and looked around quickly for something to grab before she hit the ground, just what the hell was going on here?

She didn't need to wait long for her answer as Hikaru started to feel something wrong and got the sense that something was fighting to take over. Was it the virus? It's the only thing she could think of. "So that's how you want to play it, huh?" Hikaru hit the ground roughly before she had finished her questioned, quickly jumping back to her feet.

How had it cut off the Spirit Energy? The question lingering in her mind, Hikaru sent all her will power and focused on her Phoenix Blood, willing all of her innate abilities to fight off anything that wasn't a part of her. With that done, she set her mind to one goal, which was to stay in control.

The Virus began to adapt to the Phoenix Blood. It already outmatched the Elite Energy, but EE and Phoenix Blood together? That would be a problem. Seeing how there's so much of the Virus all over the dimension, it has plenty of time to adapt to. It's a never-ending infection.

The Virus took over the spirit and the soul. The only problem is the mind and the body. The Virus then tried to control the body by using the spirit. It would try to make the Phoenix Blood stop doing its job and work as normal blood. It can't control Elite Energy this way, as the Elite Energy isn't really part of the body. It is part of the body as in, working with and in the body, and staying with the body, but not truly part of it. The Virus then tried to control the mind with the spirit. The mind is merely the interface, and the spirit is the control panel. That way, it should be easy to take over the mind.

Knowing something needed to be done and fast, Hikaru used all of her will power to forcefully unsheathe the katana at her side and stab it into her other arm, the blade cutting through blood and bone as easy as it would paper. With the pain so bad it caused her to yell out, it also did one other thing for Hikaru, caused her body enough of a shock to keep her mind focused on it, and away from the Virus's control.

But the Virus numbed the pain, and numbed her all over the body to prevent any more pain from happening. Since the pain is gone, there isn't anything to keep her focused. The Virus then paralyzed her body to her neck, forcing her to drop her katana and fall to the ground. Since the Phoenix Blood wasn't doing its job, it was much easier for the Virus to take control of the body, as only the Elite Energy was in the way, which it could easily take over. The Virus was then taking more and more of the body at a steady rate.

"Dammit..." With the pain gone and her body paralyzed Hikaru did the last thing she could think of. Clenching her eyes closed, she shouted aloud to the virus, "Kurai's using you! Once she gets bored she kills her toys. Even you! She'll destroy you in the end. Just like the Guardians tried to. Believe me! I know her better than anyone."

Spirits, hiding themselves within a small rock to recover from their last encounter with the virus on Japae, finally return fully into the mortal reality after hiding between this world and the next. Roused by their sensing of Inari's signature, noted as a person of interest by the Shaman, they left off a massive explosion of magic coated with spirit energy, acting as a beacon, before fleeing for their 'lives.' Seconds later, a rip in the dimension opens up just outside the walls of Japae, and something emerges from it, feeding upon the energies from the beacon. These constructs phase through Japae's wall, right into the center of the Virus. Completely ignoring the Great Beast, one small group splinters to go off and examine Inari, while the other heads for the strange concentration of the virus. Infection attempts are met with confusion, as the virus finds nothing to infect. Instead, individual viral particles occasionally disappear, one moment there, the other not, as if their existence within Japae was completely erased in an instant. The first strike had begun.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

(It is agreed that Nisorin's last post is null.)

The Virus ignored Hikaru. Her talk didn't stop it or slow it down. It just simply proceeded to take control of her. It then forced Hikaru to stand back up.

The IAM, AT, AP, and ASE field around both Hikaru and Kurai went down. Inari was forced to teleport to Hikaru, who was also conscious.

Whereas Inari gave no resistance, Hikaru on the other hand, was far from finished. Even when forced to be a spectator in her own body, Hikaru stil attempted to force all of her thoughts on trying to take back control. Willingly her spirit with every last bit of willpower she had, she concentrated all of what she could of her mind onto her magic and sent her will to fighting the control.

The Virus resisted her attempts to regain control. To keep Hikaru busy, it forced her to group teleport herself to the infected Sajuuk.

Now that the first stage had completed, the Sons of Plunder sent out a lone, advanced fighter with reduced armor and weapons, packing instead a faster engine and more maneuverable body. The Psiona Relorian inside, a relatively low rank, arrives at the outside walls of Japan, his ship idling mere inches from the pocket dimension. "Time to check up on things. The Archive has disappeared, so the Japanese should have started reforming again." He says to himself, opening a one-way hole in the wall and flying in as quickly as he could. Instead of Japan, however, he found nothing but ruins, animated corpses, and the magic signature of someone painted as a person of interest by the Lertises themselves. With the fighter's alarms blaring in his ears, he uses the time bought by the ship's shields to give one final command to the construct he was given by Jade Tempora, leader of the Psiona Relorians in both power and standing. Immediately, the construct flared into life, visible to the Virus as a massive burst of light, like a miniature sun. Psi was sent out of material existence in a very particular pattern, similar to the digital structure of a wireless data transmission. The light was accompanied by a horrifyingly strong burst of energy, atomizing the Relorian and his fighter from the inside out.

Seconds later, two groups of ten constructs phase through the outer walls of Japae, one heading straight for Inari, the other for the strange cluster of densely packed viral particles where Hikaru once stood, ever resisting the Beast that could survive, but not live. On their way, individual viral particles would just disappear, one or two for every thirty feet the constructs traveled, as if they were simply erased from existence. As the constructs had no body, nor were they magic, mechanical or spiritual, the Virus would find nothing to infect.

(Since you posted and unnulled the posts at the same time, I'm able to respond to the other post and the other topic.)

However, knows that there's something to infect, which are the constructs. Sure, it's based off of psionics, but it has some information about psionics, as it has infected the Aralangs and Hikaru. The Virus is hyperintelligent, too, so it would quickly know how to infect it. After all, it has infected the Aralangs, the brains that can process more information faster than their very own supercomputers, and it has inherited that trait, which brings it to a total of having processing power better than the Aralangs. Not only that, the Aralang supercomputers are the most powerful supercomputers out there.

And so, while the Virus went inside the constructs, it knew more about what the psi was and quickly found out how to infect it, and so it did.

However, despite the faster engine and more maneuverable body, a powerful tractor beam held the advanced fighter in place and was shot down by plasma and secondary beams, before the advanced fighters and the Relorian couldn't do anything.

Inari and her magic signature seemed to disappear before the constructs could reach her, like SHE was erased from existence.

The more the constructs traveled through the Virus, the faster and easier it is for the Virus to find how to infect it, as the constructs would be constantly be in physical contact with the Virus, and so the infection process was easier to do.

The Chaos Warp opened in this location, random as ever. Denera went to the opening in it, and told Keith,"Hey, a battle's going on!"
"So?" He asked, not really knowing why he should care. Nevertheless, he went to the edge of the Warp, and looked in on it. "Wait...What're they fighting?"
"Im not sure, mi'lord. I dont see anything, myself. Hm...Maybe it was just some sort of drill?"
"No, they're fighting...Something. Hmm...I'll check it out. Oh, and Denera? Please...Keith is fine."
"Oh, um, yes, Keith. Sorry." She replied, blushing a bit. He'd always been good to her, but she was still unused to how kind he'd been since the Tournament. Not that she minded, though.

He pulled his way out of the Warp, seeming to grab onto its edge as though he were pulling himself through a hole in a wall, and hung in the air for a few seconds, before a red energy forced itself through his back. Its form was first simply tendrils, but they soon formed themselves into draconic wings. While they were red like his armor, they were a duller red, and didn't radiate the same feeling. He was a manafestation of Chaos, yet these wings seemed...Ordered. Moreso than the rest of him, anyway. He felt something in the air, but his instincts told him that it wasn't important, that he should focus on things he could see, that he could fight. But...He didn't blindly follow his instincts anymore. He radiated a bit of raw Chaos, to see if it might have some form of affect. It would corrupt what it touched, turn it wild, instinctive, insane, but it was a small amount of Chaos, only going a couple of feet from him.
He reflected upon his past...The old him would've rushed in headfirst, and tried to devour the first thing he saw. Alive, prefferably, but either way would've been fine. But now, he was calmer, more reasonable. It'd been some time since he'd last seen Celestie, and while he hadn't gotten any magic, he silently thanked her for what she'd done-Brought reason to his mind.

As the constructs are nothing more than energy, the virus' quite literally had nothing to infect, and so were no threat. Indeed, the more they tried to infect it, the more were sent out and cordoned off, completely cut off from one another. One construct splintered off from the Inari group to head about the area, looking for anything interesting until it, quite literally, bumped into a cloaked ship. It seemed to stay there a moment, as if confused, and simply began bashing away repeatedly at the invisible obstruction, harder and harder each time. The disintegrative effect of Aralian shields, were they present on the ship being hit, seemed to not affect it, since the construct is nothing more than energy.

The Inari group arrived where Inari was once standing, and proceeded to analyze various bits of the footprints. Specks of the ground were separated away and taken into them, promptly phasing to the same place as the viruses, while others took lingering bits of her magic and sent those samples as well.

The Hikaru group was much different however. The composition of these constructs shifted, forming what looked like eyes. Investigating the area with more detail, they'd searched for signs of conflict, which were plenty. Residual energy from her attempt at fighting back with her blood was aplenty, samples were taken, and the constructs, all of them, simply disappeared.

The Virus had something to infect: the constructs, as they were SOMETHING, and they were psi, something that the Virus CAN AND DID infect. The cloaked Infected Keepers moved out of the way. Plus, since energy was still SOMETHING, the shields would block and absorb it.

The corrupted parts of the Virus from Chaos multiplied like there was no tomorrow. It then adapted to the Chaos.

Since any attempts at entering the constructs only resulted in the kidnapping of whatever entered, infection became impossible. Absorbing the construct only caused it to take in more psi to fuel itself, even as it continued bashing at the shield until their commands to dissipate were executed.

The Virus stopped attempting to infect the constructs, and instead tractor beamed all of them, and destroy them with plasma and the secondary beams. No construct encountered a cloaked ship in the first place, as the ships moved out of the way.

The constructs reshaped themselves to avoid the tractor beams, causing the ships to reveal the direction they were in. Now, their dissipation overridden, they collectively darted for the closest ship, pausing millimeters away from the shield. Ripples formed on the ship's shield as the constructs continued altering their shape to avoid the tractor beams. Finally, echoing about the entirety of the dimension with seemingly no source, they spoke.

"Who are you?"

Chaos energy is what drives life, instinct. Without Chaos, there would be no movement, even time would stand still. It fuels life, but also discord, to 'adapt' to it would be simply unfathomable, for Chaos is not bad.
Keith noticed them multiplying out of control, though he didn't know what 'they' were. "Hm...Whats going on here...?" He mumbled, as the visible fighter up and left. He drew back the Chaos, allowing reason back to the whatever-it-was, and simply asked aloud, to anyone-or anything-who'd hear,"Who are the factions to this battle?"
Since he didn't know who the question was directed to,he didn't answer(just to clarify).

Unfortunately for the constructs, it wasn't themselves that were tractor beamed, but the spacetime around them. They were shot down. The cloaked ships then quickly moved locations to avoid being tracked down by the tractor beams.

The Virus was invisible, so Chaos had to use something other than sight to see what's happening. (also for clarification... no... not to be a smartass... just to make sure people understand what's happening....)

Keith wasn't using sight to 'see' the virus,  which was why he didn't know what was there. He simply felt that something was there, his instincts telling him so. Its like when you see a very, very big animal you've never seen before. You dont know what it is, or what it wants, but your scared of it because you can see that it can crush you under its feet, because your instincts tell you its obviously dangerous. For alk you know, though, it could be very kind and benevelent. Only with this case, the thing surrounding him wasn't big, just everywhere, and Keith wasn't afraid, he just understood this whatever-it-was, was dangerous, because of how attuned he was to his instincts. Denera looked out through the still open Warp, and was about to exit it to join Keith, before he turned to her and, extending his arm like it was made of silly putty, shoved her back inside. "Stay in the Warp...The Chaos within will protect you." He returned his arm to himself, and looked around. Surely the whatever-it-was could speak? He saw a Host of it((the Virus, as I understand it, keeps its Hosts alive, so they'd still be there, I'd think. If Im wrong, then this below is null)), and flew to it, his instincts giving him the same feeling of danger as whatever was around him. In fact, the Chaos that formed him tried to force himself away from it, making him feel pain for not obeying his instincts. He ignored it, like he had during his fight with Celestie, flew to it and grabbed it by the throat, and asked it his question, though now growling a bit:"Tell me...Who's fighting who? What's going on, hm? And...Just what the hell is this...Thing...Thats everywhere?"

(Yes, they would still be alive. It depends, really, but in this case, they would be still alive.)

However, he could not find any host, as all available hosts were cloaked with the city of Japae.

(Not as far as I know. I thought it was some distance away from the city.)
