Name:Victoria Shade
Age:100-ish(though she was turned at 21, so she still looks that old)
Race:Human Vampire
Alliance:None.
Biography:Victoria was born during the 50's, a time when the Cold War was just getting started. During her 20 years of life as she'd know it, she'd been brought up choking on all the anti-communism propoganda being shoved down their throats. She had an alright life, lots of friends and all through school, decent job after, though she'd never fell in love. Then, on her 21st birthday...She continued having not fell in love.
But something eventful DID happen that day. As she walked home from the party(she'd gotten drunk during it, but was sober enough to remember something about cars and booze being a bad combo), she saw something move in a alley. In her drunken state, she went to check it out. Suddenly, a hand clamped over her mouth from behind, and she felt two knives sink into the side of her neck.
She awoke two days later, in some really big cardboard box. Tiredly, she got out of it, and got up and felt something in her pocket. Seemed to be a rock, put there so she'd find the note, which read,"Beware the sun's gaze, and do not deny the thirst, new fledgling." Must've been some party, she figured. She remembered walking home, going into a alley, and then...Hm, must've been a dream induced by the alcohol, because she'd be dead otherwise, right? Still, it felt so real, and she could swear she still felt the-
She froze, and ran her hand along her neck, coming to rest on two tender spots, evenly spaced, and not very large. It hurt to just touch them, and they felt like small, healing holes in her neck. She bit her lip, and cried in pain almost immediately afterward; it felt like she stabbed her lip. It was slowly coming together in her mind, but she needed proof. She walked to the edge of the shade made by the alley, and, summoning all her courage, let her hand into the sunlight, and jerked it away almost immediately in pain as the light had caused minor burns on her skin. A look of horror crossed her face, and she felt like she was gonna throw up. She had to get home, she knew that much...But how? She'd have to wait until nighttime, she decided.
Once night had set, she cautiously walked out into the open, and seeing as how she didn't burst into flames, she made her way home. She unlocked the door to the house, and went inside, closing and locking it behind her. She ran into her bathroom, and saw herself in the mirror. Pale as ivory, and she now had fangs. She looked at her hand, and realized the burn was gone, already completely healed. She looked around, and thought out loud,"Wait! I cant be a Vam...Vam...Whatever, I have a reflection! They dont have reflections, right?"
She lost herself for about a minute of momentary denial, before realizing that she still had the marks on her neck, the sun still burned her, and, most of all, she still had fangs. She sighed, reflection or not, she was still a bloodsucker, plain as pie. Well...She'd have to make the best of it, she thought. She heard a knock at her front door, and went to check. She saw Tim and Sammy, two of her best friends, and they nearly burst into tears with relief after she opened the door. She found this odd, and asked if they were alright. Sammy responded that they were so worried when she hadn't answered the phone for two days, that they just had to check in on her. She let that sink in before responding. Two days...She'd lost two days. She decided not tell them the truth, and instead said she was sick and had been in bed all day. That seemed to be enough for the two, and after wishing her well, they left.
She changed all her plans. Nothing soon, and nothing during the day. Would've gone well, but during the week she suddenly got a intense thirst and hunger. It didn't take long to figure what it was. She hit her head on a wall and almost cried. She'd been turned not even a week ago, and she already needed to feed? She thought about simply not drinking the blood from someone, but then again, as much as she wanted to retain her humanity, she also really, really didn't want to die, nevermind a slow death by thirst and starvation. Luckily, she made sure nothing was planned tonight; she was going to use it to adjust herself to this new...Lifestyle...Though she didn't think she'd be going quite so fast. She sighed, wiped her tears, and got some clothes to wear, then slipped out into the night.
At first, she had no idea how to go about doing this. She couldn't just bite someone out in the open, after all. Someone would call the police, and she'd just have a BALL trying to explain that one. Then she remembering when she was bit; the vampire that turned her waited in an alley for some lone prey to come along. It was her best bet, so she went along with it, quickly-she'd really noticed that since she turned, she'd gotten really FAST...A good benefit, if there was one, she decided-finding a deserted part of .
Most of the people who passed were in groups, so she didn't go after them. One would almost certainly call the police or something, not anything she wanted to risk. Finally, a lone teenager came along, about 19 years of age. She waited until he passed the alley before checking in both directions, looking for any witnesses. None to be found, so she crept behind him, quickly and quietly, and was about to hug him from behind(to prevent him from resisting) and bite him when he suddenly spun around and kicked her in the gut. She doubled over in pain and hissed-she never remembered hissing before, but she didn't care, she was in pain-, as he ran off. Clearly, she wasn't as quiet as she'd thought, and he must've though her a mugger. Still, she wasn't gonna let herself die of thirst, and that meant either she try to catch her meal there, or wait for the next lone guy to come up. And seeing how she didn't have all night, she had to catch him. So she ran after him, much faster than he was running. When she was close enough, she leapt at him, pinning him to the ground. "The hell!? You should still be doubled over in pain!" He tried to say more, but she put her hand over his mouth and dragged him back to the alley to feed. She realized, with disgust, that his blood tasted somehow...Good. She didn't know if thats because of her turning or because she was some kind of sick freak before, but the point was, she had a good...lunch. After she had her fill, her thoughts turned to him. She dragged his body behind a trash can, and piled the boxes around him to protect from the sun. She also did like her former, and left him a note, though she apologized as well, wanting him to know she was just trying to stay alive. Might not mean much to him, but either way, its the thought, right? In any case, it warned him about sunlight and the whole nine yards, as much as she knew, anyways.
Many years after that were uneventful, aside from her learning of her magical potential as a result of this curse, except one, but that one is a story for another time, by another storyteller. Eventually, she realized that the things around her changed, yet she remained the same as she always had. Friends drew apart, though she always remained in contact when she could. A few had learned of her condition, those her very best friends, but they, too, grew old, while she never aged a day. It had become too much for her to bear when the last of her closest friends died, and she simply booked a flight(spacetrip? Whatever the word for that will ever be...) off of Earth, not really looking for a home, but simply a way to pass eternity. So, she's mostly been a bit of a traveler, going wherever she decides to go.
Weapons: Her fangs, magic...She doesn't typically use a 'weapon', to be honest, except for her...Supernatural ones.
Equipment: As with weaponry, she doesn't keep a lot with her.
Magic Level: 4, at least; due to the way their magic works(with the exception of life-extending, healing, and hypnosis magics, they literally use up their own blood to fuel it), Vampires are very powerful with magical arts, though it takes a bit of time initially to learn how to control it.
Appearance: http://mechasart.deviantart.com/art/Lady-Vampiress-46220044?q=boost%3Apopular%20vampiress&qo=93She looks like that, but with dark black hair, and she usually wears a jacket. Thats about it, though.
