Era Temple

"Unless you bring in technology, you're fine," replied K2323, staring at his birthplace and what had been his home for hundreds of years. He had settled down here and started a family. Then, it all went away. He went back to the Kingdoms, his son never knew who he was, and his wife had to raise his son all by herself.

Until K2323 met his son. And his son came to live in the Kingdoms with K2323, and train under his rule. Of course, his wife was left here, alone. And she remained alone, K2323 figured, until her death.. Her death, which K2323 wished he could have prevented. But he couldn't prevent that, and now it was done.. She was dead.

A tear came to K2323's eye, thinking of the times he had with his wife. He wiped the tear from his head and nodded. They had work to do. They had to find the Era Temple, long abandoned now. Once, it had been full of life, but now it was lost with time, abandoned. There were no people there, K2323 figured, but it was the starting place.

"Well, I hope hand-held technology does not count," Gaserlake said, a little bit nervous. At the corner of his eye, he noticed the tear in K2323's eye, but didn't bother asking. He understood that this could have been his home, yet he didn't know that this place reminded K2 of his mother's death. "So, what do you want to show me?"

(*Wife's death.)

Often times in his summers after his initial retirement here, K2323 had visited the Era Temple to feed the Shelkree. Ah, yes, the Shelkree. The pesty little birds that flew around the Era Valley. They ate, among other things, fish. K2323 would cut up a few fish that he had caught the day before and toss them up to the Shelkree which would dive in and grab the fish bits with their beak before flying away. It made K2323 smile to see God's beauty.

Of course, in those days, the Era Temple had already been abandoned. K2323 would sit in the ruins of the temple some days and toss the fish up out into the sky, as the temple was now missing a ceiling. Most of the time, though, he felt this was a disgrace to the temple. Somebody had gone through hard work to build that temple, and it had been a place of worship, which did not deserve being a host to someone's laziness.

As the man next to him, who K2323 was quickly getting accompanied to, mentioned something about a handheld device, K2323 shrugged it off. Nobody would care about this guy. They'd look at him like he was severely out of place, of course. And then they'd look at K2323 for bringing him there. Even so, as long as he didn't start bringing ships to the dimension, it'd be fine. Mortals were generally okay here, though it was very rare that one ever left their original home, much less came to this dimension.

Besides, the Era Valley was mostly desolate of life. The chance that they'd run into anybody was slim, because it was so big. If they did run into anybody, it would probably be merchants from Eta City of the Eter Empire, trying to bypass Eter checkpoints and get illegal merchandise to the virtually un-policed city of Zufalu. K2323 wouldn't say a thing if they did have such an encounter. They were probably simply trading Vextanni bracelets for a couple of pounds of Makjuin. Crazy kids.

"We're going to church," replied K2323, starting to walk north east. Ahead were some green bushes and quite a few hills, but beyond the bushes one could not see anything. They would be to the bushes in a few moments, and K2323 had his eyes fixed there.

"Oh.. And we're going to take a pit stop on the way."

(Whoops... Lolz.)

Church, brilliant. One thing that Gaserlake might offend. Even though Gaserlake is an atheist, he still respects religion. Gaser hopes that his atheism won't offend anybody. There are thousands of different types of religion out there, and most of them involve a church. He has studied some parts about religion, but not much. He only knows basic things, and probably even less so.

"What's the pit stop?" Gaserlake asked. Bushes are a good sign for pit stops, and they are going into bushes, so Gaserlake sees the bushes as a place for a pit stop, or maybe it's something beyond the bushes.

(OOC: XD! Wrong kind of pitstop!)

As K2323 reached the bushes, he reached out for them and cleared them apart. On the other side, there was something his eyes were glued to. As he glanced beyond the bushes, a good few tears began to fall from his eyes. So many things had happened here.. Nowhere brought tears to K2323's eyes like this place, except maybe the Realm Of Existence or Japan. This place had been a place of happiness.

Behind the bushes, his eyes rested on the sight of a green prairie field. The wind blew well here, and in the distance was a great hill. Flowers bloomed naturally all over the field, and the grass was tall, yet beautiful in its unkept state, maintained by nature. To the right of the field a lake could be seen spanning out for quite a few acres, sparkling in the sunlight which existed even without space in this dimension, as did the stars.

Right in between it all, sitting beyond the tall grass and in front of the hill, to the right of the lake and in front of K2323 and Gaser, there was a house. A well built house of wood, painted in a nice color. It stood naturally in the light of the sun. While the paint could be seen chipping at a few places on the house, and it was obvious nobody was there (or had been there for awhile), it was still beautiful.

K2323 stepped out from the bushes on the other side and stuck his hand back to where he had been standing, motioning for Gaserlake to follow him through the bushes.

"This is my home," he called out to Gaserlake, his eyes not leaving the house.

(Lolz! I didn't think what you thought it was!)

Seeing more tears coming from K2's eyes, it was clear that something very personal happened. As Gaserlake made his way to the other side of the bushes, he saw the house. "It's been a while since you've been here, hasn't it?" he asked.

"Two decades," replied K2, stepping forward. He began to make the walk back to his house as memories flew by in his head.

"A lot happens in two decades," Gaserlake said, sympathetic. He walked with K2 towards the house.

"We left it," K2 recalled aloud, "in the snow. I felt as if the ground was caving in.. My wife.."
K2 walked up the steps of his porch. A great, strong wind began to blow as if it was about to storm.

Ever since K2 mentioned his wife, Gaserlake knew his wife is dead. "What happened to her?" he asked, half-expecting the answer to be that his wife died.

"My wife?" asked K2, opening the front door to his house.
The aromas of the house flew back to his nose, and his head turned to Gaserlake.
"She was killed."

Gaserlake frowned, feeling stupid at the obvious answer. "How did she die?"

K2323 was about to reply to him when suddenly, his form began to flicker.. In a flash of light, he was gone. Out of the dimension. Taken.

Gaserlake knew he wasn't a clone. When K2 disppeared, it gave view of a strange man with a suit, a tie, and a suitcase, around a dozen meters or so away. He was walking, and went out of view around the corner of the house. Gaserlake went to check on the man, but he was gone. Gaserlake then finally realized who he was and panicked a bit, but calmed down afterward.

K2 wouldn't just bring K2 here for no reason. There has to be something inside this house that's important. He looked around, and saw nobody in sight. He checked what he had. A pistol, a dimension beacon, and several clips of crystal, among other things of military use. He took out the pistol, and armed it. K2 is known to have crazy stuff.

(Ugh. Forgot something.)

Gaserlake went up to the door of the house. He put his hand on the doorknob and turned it. He opened the door. It was unlocked. He stepped inside, suspecting anything bad to happen. He stepped inside, his gun at his side. Anybody could have come in here in twenty years.

The house was pretty messy, but nothing would have stood out.. Except for music. A kind of music unlike that which ordinary people listened to back in the mortal dimension. It was Vagam Music, a music popular among sages.. And it had been playing in this house for the last twenty years, continuously. If one were to follow the music into one of the hallways of the house and into an empty room which had entirely blue walls, they would see only numbers...

Painted in a wet, fresh blood on the walls of this room were the numbers, "28, 34, 45, 3."

(You can use the modify button if no one else is reading the thread, you know Gaserlake.)
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

(Meh. I made it easier for people. Editing posts won't bump the topic.)

Gaserlake followed the music and saw the numbers. He's used to the blood, so he didn't even wince at the freshness. Though, he's kept note that the blood is fresh...

He assumed that the numbers are either coordinates, or a mathematical number, or both. The numbers are imprinted in his memory, so that he won't forget the numbers. People don't call him 'Calculator' for nothing.

Finding nothing else of interest, he went out of the house. He used his hand-held inter-dimensional beacon at the ground. Seconds later, a portal opened in the ground, and Gaserlake went through, and he's back in the Aralang outpost dimension. There, he gave the Aralangs the number to try to figure it out.
