Of course nothing is written in stone, and books only provide slight help to your own ideas, and nothing absolutely has to be used. This is just for those interested in magic that read a lot and like to pick up every theory of it possible.
That said, I scanned a recent library book that has a useful chapter on magic, I'll post up what looks to be helpful and interesting, and link to the whole chapter for anyone wanting all of it.
It's more magic in the realistic to Fantasy sense, but has a few good points to derive off of. I'll skip the history for posting, but it's in the .rar file for download.
